Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the #travel bug! We started âtravel hackingâ & finally decided we wanted to go travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this #travelvlog to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling, and we didnât want to stop after just one year! After achieving our new goal of 100 countries and then all 7 continents (check out our documentary here: âą 100th COUNTRY DOCUMENTARY , we had no plans to slow down, until 2020 decided to force us to ;) which is when we bought a converted Sprinter van to start exploring our own country for the first time. #Vanlife was a major adjustment and so different than flying every week like we were used to, but we are incredibly thankful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. đđ„đ

I was in the military and this reminds me of random stuff we'd do when we'd show up somewhere and a fun sounding event was happening with no time to prep. Never regretted any of them, always had a great time...even if I thought I was going to die a time or two. â€

When I was a kid and dragging my butt doing chores that needed to get done, my Dad's favorite saying was, "Boy, I'm gonna beat you like a rented mule!" I know burros aren't mules, but now I understand what Dad was saying all those many years ago! My hats off to you Nate for manning up at the end and letting your buddy take the lead across the finish line! BTW, how was that beer after running 13 miles dragging a burro at 10,000 feet? Instant buzz?

This is what I enjoy about the US videos - we see aspects of life we have never heard of outside of North America. Once Covid-19 travel restrictions are lifted, I hope K+N continue to have a mix of international and domestic videos. You are both amazing ambassadors for tourism in America.

Oh Iâve heard of this race before! I listened to a book called Running With Sherman, which tells the story of a man who rescues an abused donkey and decides to train to do this race with him. A very sweet story.
Honestly, with all the stuff Nate takes on he's actually a beast
Fun fact, at 10,000 feet elevation there is 29% less oxygen in the air than at sea level, and at 13,500 feet there is 38% less.
Also air particulate matter from smoke pollution is fine enough it is actually absorbed directly into the blood stream further reducing cardio efficiency, this was not an easy race.

Nate, not to get all webmd...but you get stuffy when your sinuses are dry. So get a dollar bottle of saline and snuff / squirt it up your nose. That's all you need to breathe.

Leadville is one of my favorite places! I hiked mosquito pass - very cool! Camped on Turquoise Lake! ! The Matchless Mine is cool & the old opera house has great acoustics ! So much to see there - everyone should go there once!
