- A family of totally wild foxes who turn up each night of their own free will, for some food.
Biscuit, Basil, Cookie and ChipChip are four foxes who come to visit regularly. There are also three fully grown cubs now as well, Jimmy, Pip and Daphne! 🦊🥰 Kenny and Norman, my two cats can be seen from time to time plus there's Dave, the streetlight 🤣 Random cats and not to forget the squirrels! Biscuit unfortunately, passed over rainbow bridge September 1st 2023😢 A big thank you to Second Chance Fox Rescue and The Fox Angels Foundation, for all your help and support. I can't thank you enough! ❤️

many's the time I find one right behind my heels when I'm putting the food bin out
its then I make sure the locks are engaged and that the bin is braced so they cant knock it over
It's not very well unfortunately.
Actually it's not so rare for urban foxes, and the hashtags says it's urban. We had one in Berlin coming for food until we found out you can actually be fined for this. It would have been easy to get him to let us touch him. He would sit some meters away and curiously watching us, or one time he even knocked on my door.
The city foxes are the ones of the fox population which have more curious and daring characters. They find a lot of food in the city and there are some really big packs, having like 20 foxes. But while the food is plenty, diseases spread easier because they live much closer to each other than the country side foxes, so this equals the city fox population out. You're not allowed to feed them here because they can get a bit too demanding and if someone doesn't like it and calls the police it could be they'd have to shoot the fox.
But I would have loved to befriend him.

I shot a father fox last week and now all I got left is the 3 or 4 cubs and the mom. I'm not sure if I should just shoot the mom and let em starve or just feed them all the led.

RIP biscuit , l feed a fox every night . It will appear at 8.45 pm prompt and sit like a dog in my garden. It doesn't run away when l open my kitchen door it just sits quietly while l put the food out then l watch from the kitchen window as it enjoys it's dinner.

I just watched a program where a scientist wanted to know if dogs really love us, or only because we give them food. So they had their owners leave them alone for a couple of days, then came back to see them with food in their hand, but the dog always wanted affection FIRST, which proved that canines actually DO love us and food was only secondary. This also proves that foxes also have this quality.

Fox is thinking, if you give these humans a chance they can really make you feel good and special, and loved in a way that even other foxes can’t quite do humans have those hands that just seem to somehow know where the best place to scratch is this particular human I love her so much it makes me rethink my whole existence. I look forward to seeing her so much. It just blows my little furry mind I don’t even know how to process it.

I think it's because this is a wild fox. She's used to a harsh life. Lots of dangers. Freedom and independence but many things to worry about. And not used to affection, not used to being friends with humans. I'm no fox expert at all. Just loved them all my life. But it feels like when you see a fox like Juniper who lives in a safe loving home with a person, Juniper's personality comes out 😸, not such a serious life. Maybe we'd see a big change if this fox needed to stay at a sanctuary with kind people. Little by little we might see different sides to her personality. Of course foxes should be free in the wild if possible. But at the same time I feel some sadness knowing also how their lives are scarier and more serious. But I'm sure there are also lots of wonderful adventurous moments as well.

@@dbodooley if you watch the channel regularly it’s wild. She has a lot of wild foxes 🦊 coming to eat from her and little by little some come closer than others. I think Biscuit this one is the only one who allows her to touch. I think. But they are “city foxes “ so a little bit more used to people than foxes in the countryside that tend to be very elusive. But these are still wild foxes. They don’t live with her like Juniper the famous domesticated fox. These ones are wild and live outside on their own independently ✌️. But I am glad to see them being fed like this. That’s also why these foxes often look a bit unwell. So much harsher living in the wild even if it’s not exactly the same as foxes that live somewhere further from people in the woods. Especially in the UK it’s so densely populated with humans that wild foxes are often less afraid of people. I remember, I’ve lived in the UK for 15 years and there were foxes in our back garden very often, even their young playing.

@@caskur1 No, if you go back and watch older videos this fox (Biscuit) has been visiting from a very young age. It's still a young fox and completely wild. Noone was "taking care of it" and no one is now. It just gets fed and leaves, and sometimes allows Debs to pet her. I bet some of the other foxes might let her pet the too, if she attempted it, because they have been getting food from her for a long time and most of them have been eating out of her hand since they were young.
We have foxes living in our gardens here in Somerset, under my workshop to be exact. They are quite friendly with us and our cats. I'm pretty sure that one is pregnant at the moment so my wife has been feeding her chicken, lamb, and purina cat biscuits. She did the same last year and three cubs eventually appeared. It was great to watch them playing with our cats. They're not too impressed with the Llamas though, can't say I am either to be honest, one of them keeps biting me.

I volunteer in a dog Shelter. Two days ago my Friends rescued a prégnant mom,and bring her to the Shelter where She arrived,exhausted and malnourished. We served her a can of very good dog food and she jumped on it. I sat on the floor to take a video of her eating and as I got closer she abandoned the food to come and put here head on my lap. Contact was more important than food and I promise you she had been days without any food. Vet said she is fine, we wait for her puppies in two weeks!!!
@@marisanesta2239 I've experienced it too. I was feeding a pack of strays and I noticed that some of them only came to say "Hello" to me and ate just a bite or two of the food i brought them. It's amazing! They just came to receive my love or kindness.
You're correct and I'm honestly in awe and in tears. The things these animals go through in their lives is immensely difficult. It makes me appreciate small moments more to see what really matters to this fox.

I had a disabled cat that refused to eat unless I pet him first. It was his way of showing he was grateful. Some animals like to bond before they accept food. It’s amazing!

I do dogsitting sometimes and one doggo does this, he sits by the door and when I call him to eat he looks at me, looks at the food and back to me. That's when I know I have to sit by his side pet him and then he will eat. I love him !

I have two dogs living next door. One of them is really kindness itself! She is always very happy to meet you and expects affection. Although she looks thin and hungry, she is in no hurry to pounce on the food that I leave! She is ready to play and caress and accompanies me when I leave. She comes to me not for food, but just to chat! The other one, the dachshund, is the opposite! If you don’t feed her, sometimes she won’t come at all! And if he comes, he won’t let you pet him.

@@johnassimakopoulos8954Neither do all the other animals in the world that are eaten by other ones, no matter whether we like it or not it has to happen for the world to exist, otherwise it would become totally overpopulated and extinct itself. Nature is like a machine with different components that need to work together to maintain it and some of those things aren't pleasant.

I live in Angel Islington .. the local foxes have such hard time . I don’t care who complains, I always put out food in safe areas for them .

The difference between the urban foxes to the ones you find deep in the woods is remarkable, I've spent many long hours trying to photograph fox's in the woods as remotes as I could afford but always had the best luck in the urban areas, so very charismatic and this shows how many humans this animals seen and dealt with in its life despite probably numerous negative encounters with strange people this fox clearly trusts you and is actively seeking your attention, physical touch and food, these aren't ravages scavengers waiting to be fed to slink away into the gloom, the relationship very clearly goes beyond a feeding wildlife relationship, they all obviously have a trusting bond with you, your a very talented and hardworking individual to attain this, luck wasn't the key here it was your patience and understanding, and theyres of course lop

My Aunt kept chickens and periodically a fox would kill and eat one, instead of getting angry she would just say, “yes I’m upset.. but, foxy got to eat.” So lovely and understanding of nature.

She’s not - foxes are physically incapable of smiling. They do not have the facial structure and muscles to be able to do so.
