I put one on my kitchen door that opens into my patio. It took the cat a few days to get comfortable with it. I've had mine now for two years and it's like new, but it doesn't get any direct sunlight. It is a french door and the screen is noticeable from the inside but the woven grid pattern is fine. I thought abought buying white mesh but was worried it would show dirt and dust.
NOTE: My SIL has a *huge* golden lab (breeder for seeing eye dogs), a pittie, and three cats. She has a panel that fits into the sliding door's screen track that is clear plastic on top and a doggie door on the bottom. She can leave the door open, close the screen door (which then touches the panel) and still let the animals come and go. It she closes the door all the way the doggie door is blocked. For an active household this is a better choice than the hanging screen. Her door opening is at least 15 inches wider than yours.

Just got mine in today. Different type, same brand. It has slits on both sides. Mine also seems a tad bit wider than I thought. I measured the door way before and all that jazz. Thanks for the video. Your pups are adorable, btw.

Thank you so much for your video. I've been researching to see which brand is best for my sliding door. The frame of my mine is white. I notice most people get black but I'm thinking of getting the white screen. Do you know if the white screen is more visible than the black screen. I want a screen color that will like almost invisible so it won't obstruct my view as much. Would love to hear your thoughts and opinion. Thank you so much.
Hey, how is the screen after using it for a couple of years? I see some long term reviews of similar ones say they let in a lot of bugs over time after being exposed to rain and sun. Wondering how your experience is. Great video!
So mine lasted about 1.5 years then my dog ripped it! I think over time the sun and weather weakens / deteriorates the screen making it easy to rip. Also the Velcro starts to loose its traction. I replaced mine with the same one because they’re so inexpensive! Still worth it in my opinion!
umm good for the dog but beats the purpose of havin a two side slide door.
We don’t have at two side sliding door. The other side is permanent and doesn’t open or close….. only the one side moves.
Also… if you look these up on Amazon…!the do make a screen with slits on both sides for said double sliding doors.
do you have any feedback on whether the opening in the middle vs. the side is better or worse?
Oh I’m a fan of the side 100%! It doesn’t make sense to be in middle since the door slides open on the one side. If your door opens like mine or opposite don’t get one that opens in the middle. Thanks for watching!
Your dogs are awesome! That looks like a great screen. I took our sliding screen off the door. We have a coved back patio and I screened it in. But bugs still seem to get in. A screen like this would be a great way to get some extra protection from them bugs. Hay what kind of mic is that on your shirt? That sounded really good.

Yes. This comes with a Velcro tape to attach to frame. I wouldn’t personally use nails. Hope that helps!

i had a question about that screen i ha e a cat but no screen on patio door my cat is indoors only so he cant go outside at all can the screen be secured all around so u cant go through it or does the slit stay open
The split is magnetically connected so he can go through it if he needs too. I don’t see a logical way to secure the slit honestly. I don’t think this will work for you.

Is the mesh the same as the sliding screen ? My dog rips thru the cheaper ones but I’m wondering if this one will work
No. These are a thicker mesh. My little one has scratched at it wanting back in the house when I closed the slider door and it didn’t rip!!!
