I love this song.
I'm a huge fan of the original song (and also a big country fan in general) but I find a lot of these covers by country singers to be sooo respectful to the original song. This gives a country spin to the song and rewrote a lot of lyrics but in my opinion the songwriter truly understood the meaning of the original song and just put it in a more country setting!
For those that don't know, the original, "Dancing in the Moonlight" was written by Sherman Kelly after a horrific experience that hurt others and almost took his life. This experience haunted him. Instead of allowing evil people to destroy the beauty of the world he believed in, he escaped that memory and the world created by some evil people, into a world of hope, beauty, and love. From this, Dancing in the Moonlight was born. Though it is a horrible backstory, it is also inspirational to know that you are the master of your Universe and to never let evil win when deep inside the power of good and love is always so much stronger, so use it. I love this song and this new version is beautiful. Well done!

Yes, a terrible night in the Caribbean; yet used this experience & turned into a global hit of the 70's. Not sure how I like this new version. My first reaction, 'No, and why. Why the change of lyrics to adhere to country music'. I enjoy Chris Lane's voice, yet a child of the 70's..I'll try to keep an open mind. I do Appreciate bringing attention to the Classic of King Harvest & so many Wonderful memories touching my Heart. Glad to see a new generation enjoying the Harmony to new & cherished memories as the generation of the greatest music of All Time, 70's & 80's. Amazing Song 🌟

This song and music video is absolutely incredible and it looks like so much fun. Both Lauren and Chris’s voices are amazing and both of their voices really complement each other. I am just smiling from ear to ear with joy because I just always get so happy and excited every time Lauren drops a new single. I love her as an artist and as a person. Lauren is such a great and amazing soul inside and out. I have met her twice in my life the latest time seeing her on tour in New York City back in February. If you haven’t seen Lauren perform live before I highly recommend that you do it.
