Freeze the skins first everytime you finish a banana. Thus tenderises them. When you have a batch, they shred easily and can be added to bulk a curry, a stir fry or as a spaghetti alternative.

I suffer from migraines and recently found out that banana peels have significant amounts of tyramine and could trigger a migraine for migraine patients who are sensitive to tyramine. I don't know if tyramine will leach in to the tea, but thought it was worth mentioning. Thanks again!

Mind you, there are a few varieties (Original, Gold Blend, Master Blend and decaf). Most Irish, if they drink Barrys, go for the Gold Blend (red box).

I saw a video on making banana syrup from banana skins -- used in cocktails, I think. IIRC, it was just putting the right proportions of sugar and banana peels together in a jar and leaving it for a certain amount of time. Then straining it and apparently it's delicious. I don't drink cocktails so I was thinking of it for French Toast or waffles.
BTW, as someone who lived in a part of the midwest U.S. that specializes in barbeque, your coleslaw looked all wrong. Should be crispier, shreds rather than chunks. Yours looked like overly mayonnaised potato salid. Crispy coleslaw gives you the crunch needed for pulled pork (or chicken) barbeque on a bun.

For those on blood pressure meds, be careful with your potassium intake since it lowers blood pressure and if you are on meds that lower blood pressure adding too much potassium to the mix can drop your bp too low and too fast. To go with the theme... There was a song by Henry Hall decades ago called 'I Like Bananas (Because They Have No Bones)' that I also think the 1930s-60s comedy band leader Spike Jones covered (was on a compilation album of his that I used to have. )
I think it's right up your alley, Barry, in spite of some dated references in the song (do you know who Jimmy Durante was, for example?)😂
I remember eating a banana, skin and all in college, just to mess with people, so I know that they are completely edible. About time someone figured out uses for the 'leftover bits. '😉
I'm always lurking, seldom comment, but for what it's worth, I watch every video, and hit the 'like' button religiously. Keep up the great work!
