    For the driving dodger, feeding visionary or illusive finisher, the Optik 3 combines features best suited for those quickest around the crease. An increased offset, dual-strut sidewall and optimal face shape strike a perfect balance to catch, carry and control with brilliance. Additionally for those who initiate the offense, a shortened throat rewards players with unmatched top hand control.  Now with 20 sidewall holes, the stringing options are limitless.

    I’m a big fan of finding the balance point of the whole stick with a ball in it and cradling at that point, which is usually close to the throat but not on the plastic. Also, I’m a big fan of woven topstrings as I’ve found them to be the most versatile.

    I've used a couple Optik 2.0's for a few years and I love the head, it forms a great pocket, it has a good face shape, and you can move the pocket anywhere it feels like. The only thing I never liked was the scoop. I personally think the scoop is trash but besides that its a phenomenal head that'll last many years, so I bet the 3.0 will be just as good if not better.

      how’s the scoop from the 3 compare to the 2? i have the 2 as well and i must agree, the scoop is trash.

    Can someone please help me! I have a Maverik Tank head(I play d pole), and the plastic is starting to look “stressed” and I fear that it will break. I really like the stringing, but I do not know how to re-create it and I kinda suck at stringing. I have pictures of it and I can take more, please reply to this if you can help. I am not sure how I will send the pictures but I am determined to figure out my stringing job. Please help!

    As a general rule how do you measure the length of string for your side walls and top string?

    • @redstarlacrosse
      @redstarlacrosse  Před 3 lety +1

      I hold one end of the string, stretch my arm all the way out to the side, and measure to the middle of my chest. That always works for my top strings, and sidewalls.

    What’s the pattern you used?

      @redstarlacrosse  Před 3 lety

      It’s at 10:10 . It was just an Ok pattern, but we changed it already, and now it’s strung to the inside.

      @@redstarlacrosse My son just picked up the Optik 3.0 - I'm just a lax dad and not a creative stringer. Any way you could share the new pattern you changed to? I can't find much on the web on stringing the Optick 3.

    What's the specific thing your kid likes in his sticks?

    • @redstarlacrosse
      @redstarlacrosse  Před 3 lety +2

      No one specific thing. Just, the right whip, hold, and pocket placement.
