Installed Booster Plug on my 2005 K1200S. Really smoothed out the engine. Close to 15 years and had no issues.
They put the temperature sensor as close to the intake valves because that's the temperature of the air they want to measure just before it goes into the cylinders.
Building Motorcycles Weird!! My hats off to you sir. I can't believe I learned something today!! The first thing I did when I got my RT was figure out what the heck was going on with it NOT wanting to idle.... This fixed me right up and I've fixed other BMWs with the B Plug as well. THIS THING WORKS!

For what it's worth...I put a Booster Plug in my previous 2006 R1150GSA (sold at ~117K) and then transferred it to my 2nd (currently at 91K). I didn't buy it to fix any particular problem, I was just looking for a little added performance. It has never given me any grief.
I mounted one on my bmw f700gs and it makes wonders😜
I also own an '07 K1200GT. About 2-3 years after I bought it, I started having the same issue...poor idling, bucking like a horse while just trying to maintain speed, high revs during shifts, dying at stop lights...you name it. After 3 or 4 trips to the dealer and 2 MAP updates, the problem persisted. One day I was pondering what to do with a little leftover 2 stroke gas for my outboard motor and decided to put it in the bike. After all, can't make it run any worse, right? To my amazement, the bike started running much better, almost like new. On the advice of an old mechanic, I started adding 2 ozs of Wenn's Marvel Mystery Oil to every fill up and it seemed to have fixed (or perhaps masked) the problem. Any ideas what's going on? The bike has been in long-term storage for the last 7 years but the plan is to bring it back to life next summer. I think a Booster Plug will be on my to-do list. Thanks for the video.
That is very interesting! It must be messing a bit with the O2 sensor and changing the mix a bit. I LIKE IT!
The reason it runs lean is to meet European controls. Common problem on a lot of modern bikes, including Honda. Not sure if the Booster Plug will fix the problem, not in the long term. The ECU has a memory.
I fitted one but also run an AFR gauge so can monitor the mixture in real time. It didn't do much at all and the lean running problem I had wasn't changed at all. It's a bit of a tiny improvement but mainly people believe it's worked with they spent a lot of money on it for what it is. What they also fail to realize is any changes to fueling, the ECU will spot and adjust over time anyway, so it's only a short lived change if at all.
I have that hesitation 😅 on my 2006 k1200GT
