The Disciples Minister and Jesus Christ Prays for the People | 3 Nephi 19

- The prophet Nephi and the disciples of Christ go out to gather the people of Ancient America, declaring that Jesus has appeared unto them. Baptisms are performed and Jesus returns to show Himself again.
Children and adults speak of miracles and healing they witnessed and received at the hands of Christ.
The people who hear their personal testimonies of Jesus believe their words and gather to the place of Christ’s previous appearance. Their numbers are so great, the disciples organize the people into groups in order to more effectively teach and minister unto them. Those who believe in Christ and repent are baptized.
Angels descend from heaven and Jesus appears to the Prophet Nephi and the people again to minister among them and pray to the Father.
3 Nephi 19: 1 - 25
1 And now it came to pass that when Jesus had ascended into heaven, the multitude did disperse, and every man did take his wife and his children and did return to his own home.
2 And it was noised abroad among the people immediately, before it was yet dark, that the multitude had seen Jesus, and that he had ministered unto them, and that he would also show himself on the morrow unto the multitude.
3 Yea, and even all the night it was noised abroad concerning Jesus; and insomuch did they send forth unto the people that there were many, yea, an exceedingly great number, did labor exceedingly all that night, that they might be on the morrow in the place where Jesus should show himself unto the multitude.
4 And it came to pass that on the morrow, when the multitude was gathered together, behold, Nephi and his brother whom he had raised from the dead, whose name was Timothy, and also his son, whose name was Jonas, and also Mathoni, and Mathonihah, his brother, and Kumen, and Kumenonhi, and Jeremiah, and Shemnon, and Jonas, and Zedekiah, and Isaiah-now these were the names of the disciples whom Jesus had chosen-and it came to pass that they went forth and stood in the midst of the multitude.
5 And behold, the multitude was so great that they did cause that they should be separated into twelve bodies.
6 And the twelve did teach the multitude; and behold, they did cause that the multitude should kneel down upon the face of the earth, and should pray unto the Father in the name of Jesus.
7 And the disciples did pray unto the Father also in the name of Jesus. And it came to pass that they arose and ministered unto the people.
8 And when they had ministered those same words which Jesus had spoken-nothing varying from the words which Jesus had spoken-behold, they knelt again and prayed to the Father in the name of Jesus.
9 And they did pray for that which they most desired; and they desired that the Holy Ghost should be given unto them.
10 And when they had thus prayed they went down unto the water’s edge, and the multitude followed them.
11 And it came to pass that Nephi went down into the water and was baptized.
12 And he came up out of the water and began to baptize. And he baptized all those whom Jesus had chosen.
13 And it came to pass when they were all baptized and had come up out of the water, the Holy Ghost did fall upon them, and they were filled with the Holy Ghost and with fire.
14 And behold, they were encircled about as if it were by fire; and it came down from heaven, and the multitude did witness it, and did bear record; and angels did come down out of heaven and did minister unto them.
15 And it came to pass that while the angels were ministering unto the disciples, behold, Jesus came and stood in the midst and ministered unto them.
16 And it came to pass that he spake unto the multitude, and commanded them that they should kneel down again upon the earth, and also that his disciples should kneel down upon the earth.
17 And it came to pass that when they had all knelt down upon the earth, he commanded his disciples that they should pray.
18 And behold, they began to pray; and they did pray unto Jesus, calling him their Lord and their God.
19 And it came to pass that Jesus departed out of the midst of them, and went a little way off from them and bowed himself to the earth, and he said:
20 Father, I thank thee that thou hast given the Holy Ghost unto these whom I have chosen; and it is because of their belief in me that I have chosen them out of the world.

I was just about to comment the exact same thing! That is my favorite part of the this video. We never see a laughing, happy Savior. This video series displays that in a remarkable way.

4:00 When Christ comes up behind Nephi and calls him brother and laughs, you can truly feel the love and affection he has for us. Despite never seeing him, never living the time of his ministry, its as if you feel his warmth and love to this day, stronger than anything on earth. The brother of all, and someone you can always rely on to be there.
How wonderful that these people had such pure faith in Christ and His gospel, that the Savior was able to show greater miracles then the follower’s in Jerusalem were given. This video reminds me that as we, as individuals, show greater love and obedience and faith in following Christ, we are promised greater power by the Holy Spirit to overcome the world. This is our divine destiny as children of Heavenly Father-to one day return to live with HIM again, because of the Saviors atonement for each of us.

I've never really thought much about Jesus praying for me but this video really drove the point home for me.
Beautiful to watch and enjoy seeing how much love the Savior has for His children on earth
It is interesting to note that the young woman who was healed of her blindness by Christ is now the one leading her family. All of the filmakers of season 4 did a fine job of adding these little details of things unspoken, but yet say so much and add to the story.
When I read the Scriptures the thought that always struck me, is they must’ve had a tremendous amount of faith. That you are basing your faith off of the testimonies and teachings given by The Holy Ghost and prophets of God. The hope that you can remember everything you’re taught for a lifetime by them. I think it’s a true testament to how strong their faith really was.
We truly live in a day of real abundance. A day where we have the fullness of the gospel at our fingertips. I am so grateful that we have full access to the scriptures, all of the apostles and all the Prophets that have ever been. Are father in heaven truly loves us. And has given all of that to Armas for the second coming.

I am forever grateful the Book of Mormon is another testament and the record of Jesus Christ and His visitation to some of the “other sheep” in other lands after His resurrection. To watch these remarkable videos is like being there with the people and hearing His voice, His instructions and seeing His smile of love and joy. Thank you for this gift of videos. I cherish watching and feeling the Spirit testify of this truth.

This video moved me to tears for some reason. Maybe because it reminded me of the time when we'll all say and know, "He has come. He is here!"

You really get a sense of what it was like to live in such times, and to have the Saviour to come minister and teach families and individuals the Gospel. What a joy it must have been one moment in time that he appears among the children of men and that we may be blessed that he will come again and work mighty miracles

Videography is really good. Good production values. One thing only I would suggest: give the Savior’s voice a special effect to make it a bit ‘celestial,’ “the sound of rushing waters.” 🙏🏽💛
A thing that I find interesting is that Jesus wasn't able to perform such great miracles among the Jews because of their unbelief (according to the very chapter this video illustrates).
This tells me that one needs to have faith for miracles to happen.
Yet people claim there is no evidence for God working in people's lives because they haven't seen it, probably, if the implications are correct from here, because they don't have faith in God at all.
