- Lori Vallow was questioned by the Chandler Police Department following the shooting death of her then-husband, Charles Vallow. Her late brother, Alex Cox, shot and killed Charles, claiming self-defense.
The medical examiner recently ruled Charles Vallow's death as a homicide, and Lori is facing a charge of conspiracy to commit murder.
Lori's two kids, Tylee Ryan and JJ Vallow, went missing in 2019. In June, 2020, their remains were found on new husband, Chad Daybell's property, in Idaho. Both Lori and Chad were taken into custody.

There is no insanity plea in the state of Idaho where she is being charged currently. She is only deemed incompetent at the time so she can’t attend her trial. It will come in due time and justice will be just as deserved and sweet.

So basically she was intentionally taunting Charles by refusing to give him his phone and walking around with it .
I’m sure she kept his phone on purpose so he would have to come back in looking for it, and he would be mad. It was part of their plan. But she made sure to preface that part of the story with, “and this is his M.O. He ALWAYS comes back in for something,” to make it sound like it wasn’t because of her.
If he was so mad and crazy and she was scared that he would hurt her, then why would she taunt him by not giving his phone back? Nope. They had a plan and unfortunately it worked.

Lori prolly told Charles she wanted to talk to him for a few min then Alex probably came around the corner and shot him. Lori prolly grabbed Charles phone and keys and walked out the door.

I can’t imagine having my husband - no matter how unhappy the marriage - newly deceased and being able to have a conversation, much less put on an act. This was cold-blooded, premeditated murder. I look forward to the restoration of her competence.

@@kkheflin3 - I think that the imposition of meds will get her there, and they’ll make her acting less effective. I do fear it may take long enough to sever the cases, which causes me concern. But, I’ve seen people with schizophrenic and schizoaffective disorders dial down very effectively with meds. Let’s remember that Idaho has a pretty low bar for competence. She can think she’s the priestess of the universe; that won’t stop justice. Hon. Boyce knows these are DP cases and he’s going to go over Idaho’s Rules of Procedure with a fine-toothed comb to mitigate appeal opportunities, IMO.
@@chelseaj2356 Excellent points. I have a strong background in psychology and education and I fear she suffers from a personality disorder rather than a mental illness. A mental illness such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder can be treated with medication. A personality disorder such as narcisssism or borderline or anti-social personality disorder cannot. As I am sure you aware those are deeply rooted in childhood and medication won't help with those. I personally hope they CAN detect a true "mental illness" but based on her performances with various types of law enforcement over the years we have observed I find it doubtful she suffers from a true mental illness which could be treated with medication. It will be interesting to see how this evolves.
I keep wondering if the goal of “restoring her competence” is cult deprogramming so they can act like “poor widdle Lori”was a victim of Chad’s cult, but the reprogramming isn’t working since Lori is just as much a part of the cult as Chad. So they just keep hoping that Lori will come around but she refuses to play ball because “I am the leader of the 144,000 and there is nothing you guys can do about it!”
How is it possible for two witnesses to a crime to sit in two rooms so that they can hear each other's every word?
When asked what kind of threats Charles made, she couldn't think of any.
She constantly makes inflammatory comments about Charles but is unable to provide any details. The same with Alex and Charles’ interactions - no details but totally vague. She’s just making it all up as she goes along. She’s not sad in any way. She actually sounds excited. Her story doesn’t come close to matching Alex’s story while he was sitting on the curb talking to LE.

By how she tells the story, she should have given him his phone, that the only reason he came back in & she withheld it from him just so Alex or her had time to kill him

Explain what you mean by Couldn't care less please? It just sounds very insensitive especially since they are the ones dead. Probably could have been worded better. Her behavior to me is sickening... She mentions protecting the children yet they are the ones who ended up dead also. Not crying about her husband of 14 years being dead is also strange to me. Like she is not upset because this is exactly what she wanted.

I have listened to all 3 of them, Lori, Alex and Tylee... Not a single one of them has managed to remember what he was screaming besides telling Tylee "If you hit me with that bat you're going to go to jail"... They all just remember the only things that justify Alex getting his gun... Because Charles took the bat. Interesting... And more about the bat and how he started swinging it.

So why did Tylee say that the confrontation started in front of her, and somehow Lori completely skipped that and went to Charles putting JJ in the car... But Tylee said she and JJ went outside alone to the driveway...? 2 completely different versions of the events, and with Alex's version makes 3 different versions of events. This is mindblowing, fr...just wow! She left the scene of a murder, walked by his body, and Alex called her before he called the police....45 minutes after the shooting.
Exactly! Also, Tylee said that when she came out of her room Alex was already there in the commotion in the hallway. But Lori said that Alex came out of his room after Tylee came out. ???
exactly what I felt... Tylee said her mom told her to take JJ to the car .. mom says ... Charles took JJ to the car.. conflicting stories,, surely should have been a red flag for the so called smart cops.. if they had done their job properly .. many lives would have been saved.. Tylee was a bit foxed when the cop asked her when she heard the sound after her mom came out or before she came out.. She must have ben thinking.. what did my mom say about this?.. its clear she was tutored

I cannot wrap my head around the fact that this is the same day that her husband was MURDERED…by her BROTHER…in HER HOUSE!!! What a bunch of narcissistic homicidal creeps. I am really at a loss of what to even label her and Alex. The kicker is that I have been following this since day one and it amazes me every time I watch anything about it. Especially all of those innocents slain at their hands. Does anyone else pick up on that HUGE lie where she is describing the actual gunshot? It is totally different from what Alex told the cops while he was sitting on the sidewalk drinking his water. It seemed like they were really concerned with keeping that crazy Alex HYDRATED after he murdered his brother in law. So she purposely set him up to be murdered. She lured him there and then purposely took his phone to start a fight so her brother could come out and shoot him. Then admits that to this detective and they let her go! And then she went on to murder her kids. Those detectives have blood on their hands if you ask me!!!
Alex lied and she failed to admit she and Summer called Alex to go over that night to protect her. Of course, he'd bring a gun. All part of the plan.
The Det. Never asked her why she was holding his phone,and why she just didn't give it back to him so he could leave.

What a terrible terrible interrogation. And before you say that's an interview strategy, no it isn't. Because they never followed up and did even a basic investigation of she and Alex. They took whatever she said and fell for it Hook Line & Sinker. And there is rumors that one of the reasons they didn't do an investigation is because they were getting pressure from an LDS police officer. Awful police work!
Amen! Looks more like a counselling session than a police interview. She gets ZERO facts other than a made-up timeline. Is that what a victim acts like? I'm wondering what those victim support ladies have to say for themselves as well.
Didn't see her giving DNA or getting gsr test. Of course, she had time to wash her hands at home, at Burger King, at the school, at Walgreens buying flip flops and whatever she needed for the afternoon pool party to delay getting home and at the CPD restroom. I still want to know about the 4 casings the cop counted on the floor. Yes, he counted four on the body cam but they later said 2.

I know, right? She stole Charles’s phone and created a situation where he couldn’t leave without it. According to her own story, he was trying to get it back the whole time. If there was any truth in her story, she could have given the phon bacK and de-escalated the whole situation.
Now 4 of the people in her story are dead, and she is in prison. She wasn’t going to be able to come up with a believable story on why the kids needed to die, so that was done in secret. And the social security checks for the kids kept coming in.
I fail to comprehend how this sorry excuse for a woman/wife/mother could even contemplate throwing a pool party only hours after the man she’d been married to for 14 yrs, died. She dwells in a bile duct…🤮

Ugh. It's all about her. She's the victim. Now at the point of the tape where she is just sitting there. Am noticing she has mannish arms (sorry had to say it). And what was that little fake cry crap? The saddest part is am looking at the date of the tape and realizing that less than 3 months later is when Tylee, who she kept bragging about, was killed by her and Daybell or whoever did it.

Huge inconsistency with the stories. When asked if Alex had the gun on him during the fight, Lori says that her brother never left the room. However, Alex says he went to his room to get the gun. A bunch of liars.

So weird, she acts like a teenager; inappropriate giggling and the story in some ways is so lacking in factual details. All should have been red flags.
And the interviewer is kind of “helping” her tell the story instead of getting at the facts. Once you get assertions of fact from a witness THEN you can compare stories and see where there are lies.
At 26:27 when that detective walks out and Lori takes this deep breath and she slipped and automatically smiled. That was relief. She did it. She’s not in handcuffs and she can be with chad now. Then she goes into that meditative state. I wonder if she is teleporting to tell cad Ned is dead!!?! 🤦🏼♀️

Omgsh! She had her kids killed because they knew too much and the true story about the bat and the murder of her husband. I bet they were threatening to tell on her because she has their Dad killed. She's lying through her teeth. You can tell. She's making up a lot of this story. Unreal. I'd say after this police interview. She got scared that they were going to find out the true story. Two months later the kids were dead. She's a real piece of work.
after her husband Charlie was killed, she was ordered to take a competency test and she passed. Even her nephew says, she is not crazy, she is sane and should stand trial.
She was so worried about her kids why didn't she just give him back the damn phone to get him out of the house if that's what she wanted to do was get him out of the house like she said she should never have taken his phone when he came in or she should have walked out with it and gave it to him problem solved. Three different versions. Tylee never said Charles swung at her. Tylee said she fell . No mention of this by her mum. Alex said a different version. They waited to Ambush Charles. Maybe Tylee was told that Charles was dark . All Charles wanted was to pick up JJ and leave. She grabbed his phone to cause trouble and to offer an explanation of why there were shouting. She stole is phone which is a crime. She knew Charles was never physically violent. She probably hit Alex with the bat to cover up the murder . I hope she gets what she deserved . Plus to put this all into perspective Tylee was murdered 3 months later . Alex was most likely murdered, or he committed suicide, the day after Tylee and JJ were exhumed.

Notices that Lori shifts her tactics here subtly with the female cop vs her giggly flirting with the male cops - her she keeps telling the female cop how evil Charles was (LIE) and what a great mother she is (disgusting since she murdered the children later on) and talks hair styling etc. Lori is a malignant narcissist- not “crazy”

This video recording is soooo much better then the other ones. It’s 2021 and all interrogation rooms should have this level of recording in them and focus on the suspects and not from far away or facing their backsides with poor audio quality. 🤦🏼♀️
This officer needs more training. How pathetic they failed Charles the children and Vallow families.
The lies are so obvious. If my brother shot my ex husband I would remember every detail and immediately call police. The last thing I would do is leave the house. I would call a friend to take them to school I would be too shaken to drive or leave house!

Here, they swept all the evidence under the rug, accepted the lies and inconsistent testimonies and went their merry way.
And even before he was murdered, if they had done their JOB which was to ENFORCE court orders, like the mandatory 72-hour evaluation order for Lori, maybe the kids and Charles would be alive now. Instead, those incompetent idiots were tipping her on how to avoid it.

I’m not sure why it took the kids dying Tammy dying for them to look into this after Alex was dead and it was to late ! I mean her demeanor and posture and even her “story” is so obvious that she is lying . Just watch her and you can tell this is a obvious set up !!!!! She’s obviously charged now but they all could have had their lives saved if it would have been stopped before hand ! I mean for one she let Tylee stand there for most of the fight and right at the end she made her leave I wonder why because she knew he was going to get shot that’s why herself walked away for a second so she wouldn’t potentially get shot ! interesting that Tylee said her mom wasn't yelling but Lori says she was screaming.... So sad that Tylee protected her mom when her mom didn't protect her later on. Also, you can hear Tylee talking in the other room in her interview so Lori was probably hearing everything she said. Kind of odd
I thought that was odd too that you could hear Tylee giving her interview through the wall. And Lori opened her eyes and tiled her head that way, like she was listening to see what Tylee told them. 😠
That's why Lori was so quiet and barely moving, she could hear everything Tylee said so that she could align her story ( by making excuses) later on

I wonder, did Tylee slip up? She had a long pause when asked where Lori was when the gun shots went off, did they forget to prepare her for that question? Being coached on what to say only goes so far... Until you get asked a question that you were not prepared for. It could be something that seems really insignificant or it could be something huge that they missed. If Lori wasn't happy with her interview answers.... That might explain what happened to her.
There should NEVER be a way to hear other people's interrogations. This is the worst police department I've ever seen. They are incompetent.

My divorce was far from amicable, although luckily we've become friends over the years- but I can promise you even though there were points when I would have been happy to shoot him myself... Had someone else shot him in my living room I would have been freaking out! Even if she doesn't care that he's dead, the situation itself would lead you to flip out. Oh wait, I forgot...
