at the times when you shut the music off and we could hear the ambient sounds, that was nice.

I try to do that but often I’m only getting wind noise. I agree though…. Nat sound adds so much! Thanks!

I was just there a couple weeks ago. The newer loop to the North is no joke. VERY rough, stumps absolutely everywhere, and many hidden behind greenery that like to surprise you. Turns are very tight as well, made it difficult in some places for my double cab Tacoma. Took some damage to a running board that came down on a hidden stump. Time for rock sliders I guess haha. I completely underestimated it going in. The scary part is if you were to break anywhere in that North loop getting your vehicle out would be near impossible. Turns are way too tight to be towed out, and even getting another vehicle in place to attempt would be very difficult. The original loop was nothing in comparison.

FYI. You should always have a strap too. Don't use a winch for pulling with another vehicle. If you use your winch line, winch it. Pulling your winch line with another vehicle can sink an outer coil of winch line into the center and make a mess of your winch.

That trail around the park is a bit more rutted up now, still doable with a stock 4x4 but can be challenging for a newbie

I haven’t been up there this year but that’s good info to know.

That frontier was going easier than the gladiator if he would have turned to the passenger side like gladiator did on last attempt he would have gone through. His back tire was getting pinched between two tires.

I hear it’s changed a lot since I’ve been there but I think the key thing to bring is a buddy. Have straps to pull you off an obstacle or out of the muck. It may be closed this time of year but anytime you go be sure to have recovery gear. A winch is great but you’ll be fine with recovery straps, another vehicle and using common sense. Let us know how it is if you go soon!

@firstpathfrontier I'm sure, yeah it's closed as of right now cause I was reading on it, so you can just bring your road legal vehicle and trail with some buddy's as you know off?
