I think the secret to Garfield’s success is his saucy attitude. I have an unending love for him.🧡
Well said.....Lasagna sauce too!
The history about the elephants was horrible and made me so sad 😢 They understandably got tired of being beaten into compliance at the hands of their "trainers" to perform and were striking back in self defence trying to escape. I've always hated circuses and horror stories of the animals being abused. On a lighter note that Mr Weenie hotdog and blueberry fudge looked so good 😍 Loved the Garfield statues 😺 those traditional sweet stalls were very nostalgic. Thanks Jacob ☀️
It definitely sucks that happened. That’s probably why most circuses today try to avoid using animals.
We can be grateful we’ve at least come to understand why we shouldn’t be putting animals in a circus
No animals need be in Circus period !!!! 😡😠
Grow up.
@@Robert3377 By your standards it seems like riding a horse is animal abuse and unnatural too. And what about all of these dog agility compitions❤ on TV basically doing circus tricks?...
But somehow you ignore the thousands of elephants being machine gunned in Africa currently...
"We have landed here in Uranus!" THAT cracked me up! Couldn't stop laughing! Another awesome video! Jacob, you never disappoint.
He also said, totally dry and most likely not noticing either: „…launched to probe Uranus“ and „Uranus liquors“ 😂😂😂
🤣🤣😂😂
Be nice and kind treat people are you want to treats
No bullying
@@brentsteech5878 Who is bullying? That's what I'd like to know.
Hi Jacob, Garfield was born in a Italian restaurant, that is why he has a liking for Lasagna, love the video, keep safe on your travels, love you
Oh yeah, I remember that dentist’s chair. Torture chamber. I was SO dental phobic. I am lucky that dentistry has changed and I have had compassionate hygienists and dentists to bring me back into the fold. I love your smiles, by the way. Love your videos!!!
Cole Porter!!! Fantastic songwriter. He wrote Anything Goes, , You’re the Top, I Get a Kick outta You, Let’s Do It, I Love Paris & loads more that are now classics. You do find fascinating places...Good old Carpetbagger! xxx
Haha Mr. weenie🤣
Used to binge your videos every day during the first lockdown. They really got me through a rough time. Love to see you getting back out there, and exploring my home state!
AWESOME!!
We worked on a camera crew at that circus for about 10 years 🙌🏻 As a faithful subscriber I have been begging and wishing you would visit the kind gentleman who run the James Dean Gallery in Fairmount… their story has an AMAZING background. Clothing designers / artists / photographers from the 60s in NYC. They even designed Meatloafs concert attire one tour. Would have loved for you to seen it & share their story. Missed opportunity.
Kokomo is the home of Clifford the dog, and has a stained glass manufacturing facility WELL worth a stop.
Cool🌭🚗 So excited for that hot dog he forgot about the intro😂 Good one Jacob😹
Beautiful museum of Miami county
Aww! I love this video! Uranus is a cool little town. Loved that museum you went to. Also, it’s cool to see James Dean’s grave. And Garfield too. He’s a good character. Also hate how the circus abused animals like that. Well, thanks for sharing! Have a great day!
We know nowadays how horrific the elephants and all animals were treated that were forced into the circus environment. Thank God they are just about phased out. I aree with the poster below, circuses were nothing but centers of animal torture. Loved the Indiana Uranas and that fudge looked great.
Now that is a cool small town museum, and you gotta love glass blowing Garfield.
ZOLTAR says,..”if you eat a hotdog w/ hot chili’s ,..Uranus will be on 🔥 fire
I couldn't finish this one because of the part about the elephants. sad. I do usually enjoy your videos so I'll keep watching.
Re: the Blakeney grave: Shirley & Bill Blakeney were definitely fans of James Dean. I located an article online mentioning their presence at the James Dean Fan Appreciation Jeopardy Contest back in 2010.
Thanks for going to my hometown In Peru,Indiana !! I miss Mr. Wienies the tenderloin sandwich is great homemade shakes. Brought back memories haven’t been there in fifteen years. Oh yeah there’s a Big Boy restaurant in logansport, Indiana.
Thanks Jacob!
I feel bad for the executed elephants 🐘. They are smart animals and don't like being told what to do. They took it out on their trainers the only way they knew how to. I think they're more endangered by people in captivatey than they are in the wild.
Garfield was my favorite cartoon character and, why I grew to love cats so much. Their so funny and independent 🤣. I even had a stuffed Garfield with a bowl of spaghetti on his head. I enjoyed seeing where he was created.
The Sells-Floto poster was from the circus that called Columbus, Ohio home. It was originally called the Sells brothers circus, but by the time of the 19th century, they to went bankrupt and was sold to pay off debts. Sadly the only thing left is the home that was built by Peter Sells and is known locally as the circus house. Were it not for the house still being lived in, very few people in Columbus would know about it.
Like Garfield, my cats absolutely love lasagna!!
I used to live in the neighborhood that housed the Sells circus animals and performers. Allegedly they buried the animals in the area and you can still find exotic animal bones.
Can't believe you're in Indiana! If you're ever in the Westfield area and looking for food I recommend checking out "Big Hoffa's." A very cool pirate themed restaurant with some pretty tasty food and ice cream!
That town really plays off the "Uranus" joke well with the towns name and the subtle references around town.
Yes indeed. Must dive into Uranus and absorb the warmth and hospitality there!
Also check out the garage Indianapolis,Mass avenue, broad ripple ,caselton square, keystone , circle city industrial complex
Mr. Weenie, the father of Weenie hut Juniors
I love Garfield ❤️
Love your show you eat in 5 months what I eat in a year I smoke we both need to slack up on this for our health I'm older and I'm feeling it you got time
This is very interesting stuff. I have lived in Indiana all my life and didnt know all this stuff exists. This is such a cool video. Thank you Jacob for stopping here in the Hoosier state. Looking fwd to more adventures. 😊
Enjoyed the museums and esp. the URANUS Fudge/Candy place. These places are so 👍 well done, their food, treats, branding and attention to detail is outstanding. Pick ☝️ one: Indiana or Missouri Uranus! 🪐 🍫
always love jacob storytelling
Mr. Weenie has a hat on his head
I like the idea of Chocago style hot dogs but in practice it's just too much going on, on top of my hot dog. Great video as always Jacob.
You were less than a half hour from my house! The glass blowing Garfield comes from all of the glass works that this part of the state is known for! Dunkirk has a whole glass days festival, Muncie has ball state university from the ball family and ball jars, here in Albany we have the glass museum that has tons of pieces of old school Vaseline glass and cool stuff. I think they used the gas to power said glass facilities but I’m not sure. Pizza king is definitely worth stopping and trying next time you’re on your way through. Jim Davis lived not even ten minutes from my house for a lot of years if he doesn’t still. I can answer any other questions you have about the area or find the answer for you if I don’t now!
Have you ever seen "The Hudsucker Proxy?" It's a comedy in which Tim Robbins is from Muncie, and he sings the Muncie fight song ("Goooo EAGLES!") to Jennifer Jason Leigh, who claims to be from Muncie, but isn't. My questions is whether the fight song is real or made up...thanks!
@@maryblaufuss7533 no I haven’t seen it. One of the local schools is the eagles so it’s plausible?
@@taylorvorhees2796 Thanks for replying so quickly! So...the Eagles part, anyway is real, that's a hoot! I'm not really surprised you haven't seen it; it didn't do well at the box office. I thought it was hilarious, though, and that both Robbins and Leigh showed superb acting chops.
Dude I was dating at the time and I used to love a good running gag. We'd repeat a funny line from the movie: "Y'know, for kids!"
It's been fun corresponding with "A Muncie Girl!" (That's another one.)
Together in Carpetbagger fandom...👍😄
Pizza King is my favorite! 😋
RIP Charlie🐘💔😿 Love Garfield😻
Wonderful Video Much Enjoyed the Museums History of Circuses I've Always been Intrigued by Old Carnie and Circus memorabilia Sideshows Always Very interesting. Elephants and Tigers And Lions Should Never Ever be in circuses or Small Zoos They needs Lots of Freedom And Room to Roam. The Cruelty that they Sadly Endured is Heartbreaking and Should Never of Happened.
Would of Loved to See the James Dean Museum I Loved the Heartfelt Visit to His Resting Place.
Garfield is Adorable because hes An Orange Chubby Tabby Kitty I grew up on Seeing His Cartoons On Saturday Mornings And Reading Garfields along with other Comics on Sunday.

I ordered the blueberry fudge from Missouri Uranus. The size was good and my blueberry loving friend loved it.
You should go to the Winking Lizard in Columbus, you get a giant glass mug there
As a Grandview native. Anything local I'm all for. Do ittt!

from the bottom of my heart ‼️‼️❤️
I was afraid the jokes about Uranus were going to just be repetitive & crude, but they were actually quite clever & funny, like the candy corn in the fudge & "The Mayor's #2"! No groaners here! Even the sign saying, "We're off to probe Uranus," made me smile. The cheery, in unison greeting when you walked in the store made me grin, too. Seems like a fun place to work.
Hello Jacob! That hot dog looked good, sure was a mouthful! You find the neatest attractions!
It’s a hair dryer Jacob. They still use them but not as funny looking 😂😂😂😂 I loved Garfield’s sarcasm
Uranus fudge factory 😂😂
Can't believe there's a Uranus, Indiana. You can't have a Carpetbagger video without stopping at at Hotdog place for lunch.
Never knew this town was so close to home! Lovin' this tour!
Another great video of the circus museum. Thanks 😊 Bob Calderon
Uranus puns never get old!! My sister lives right next to Uranus street. So of course she tells people to drive up your Uranus. 😆 🤣.
Yes, the Jr. High Boy's favorite tourist attraction...Uranus! Ha ha. Interesting trip through Indiana, never been there.
We just went there today it was so much fun for the kids.
I've never seen Uranus so clean and spacious!
We visited Uranus today and told the staff about you Bagger!
Butterfly🦋effect...💯✔️ Also, that blueberry fudge looks heIIa yummy...🤘🏼😋
Please stop by Mansfield, Ohio and check out Elektro the Motoman … star of the Westinghouse Exhibit at the 1939 New York World’s Fair, which, coincidentally, opened 83 years ago today.
You should check out Mianus Ct as well!
Eats the hot dog: oh I forgot to do the introduction 🤣
Priorities, don'tcha know! Heck, if a really good hot dog were placed in front of me, I'd forget everything else.
Those awful puns... had me laughing all through your visit
I live in Peru! So cool to see you show my towns history!
I lived in Peru for my childhood, my jaw dropped when I saw he was at Mr. Weenie lol. Never thought I'd see it
Poor, poor Charlie 😪🐘🐘🐘🐘
Always different. Always fun. Thank you Carpetbagger.
Poor animals, I hope they are in heaven getting to role around in the mud and water
I just had a random thought that I was hoping you would consider. Have you ever thought about going to different Renaissance festivals across the country. I think that would be awesome!!! Thanks for listening to (reading) my idea. Take care.
Would you rather have Garfield 'Blow glass", or "Blow gas?!"
Ah Uranus
I been to the James Dean museum and grave twice live about 90 miles away from it it’s very interesting they have a festival every September for James Dean
I was just at Mr. Weenie In Peru Thursday, and had the Chicago dog also. Such a great place to eat 😋
Great museum . Loved Garfield he was so Cavalier. Those are great statues of him. Of course Uranus . That fudge looked really good Keep Safe ❤Keep Well ❤
There where Big boys in Michigan, also Sander Ice Cream.
I have seen the James Dean collection there, it is pretty interesting. When I went to James Dean's grave a long time ago people left coins on his grave.
Oh my god you're in Peru! My hometown! I have always had a Mr. Weenie shirt! Love it Jacob!
We had a cat named Garfield if we had lasagne Garfield used to come looking for the dish so he could enjoy Lasagne as well.
Okay but there's a James Dean museum in Fairmount a few blocks from the other musuem....couple of great guys run it, also by a gas station down town there's a bust of JD which is one of 2 in the world...the other is in Cali. The house he grew up in is also right down the road from the cemetery. Ahhh so much missed in Fairmount!
Buildings that encompass Roman-style architecture use the Latin alphabet, which only had 23 letters at one time, not including the letter U. The “U” sound still existed, but it was represented with the letter V. That's why you notice it on the old Libraries, Townhalls, Courthouses and Museum buildings.
You never tell me when you’re in Indiana. 😭 I’ll tell you the perfect attraction to go to here.
New game,..every time Jacob say,..”Uranus take a shot,..seriously,..u won’t make it to the end of the video!
Greetings from Anderson, IN! Uranus has only been open for a couple months now
I wish I would of knew of these placed when I lived in Indiana! Really cool Carpetbagger!
FINE, now we gotta go get hot dogs tomorrow. I HOPE YOU’RE HAPPY!😂😉
33:39 Fudge from Uranus
"The mayor's #2"
Please Jacob, tell me you get that joke!
So many interesting sites here! Too bad you couldn’t see the James Dean museum
9:20 my grandfather worked with Emmett Kelly Jr on the c&o railroad in Peru.
How many times can 1 man say Uranus and not crack up laughing. Sorry I’m such a child.
The hair things were to dry the hair as ladies got rollers in their Hair such as permanents etc and the wires were to regrow hair was told that electrical stimulation was a miracle lol quack medical. If you're looking for more small museums eau claire has logging and chippewa valley history museums they're pretty neat. Also we have Irvine park and zoo free of charge they're very nice . Please revisit Wisconsin eau claire is a fun little town 😀
Lol quack medical... But on a serious note, I don't think some of these quacks were too far off. Nowadays there are legit "shock therapy" treatments for stuff like muscle pain and paralysis.
@@9Tailsfan yeah right this was supposed to grow hair lol 😆
Nick's in Anderson was one of my favorite places to eat. It was the greasiest of greasy spoon places.
Last time I was in Uranus I got a Hemorrhoid!
P.S. I’d never buy Fudge in Uranus !
On is a hair dryer and the one with all the clips is to do perms I love Garfield my dad's favorite in the newspaper 🗞️🗞️🗞️ that fudge looks so yummy 😋😋😋 have had a wonderful day today see you tomorrow 💐😘😘
The machine with the wires with clips on them is an old fashioned permanent wave machine to curl straight hair and the other ones are hair dryers
Garfield smoking a bowl out in public!
I live in Reynoldsburg which is 10/ 15 min away from Columbus!!!!!!!! COOOOLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!
the carpetbagger is a legend! thanks for another one >.< best energy!
it is weird to think a cat likes lasagna, but I must say I remember having a cat in the past, Virgil, he would eat pizza and one time grabbed it out of my hand and ran away with the slice
Seriously tho ,..I’ve had cats that would eat anything! Lasagna,..has almost all the food groups,..beef ,noodle, sauce! What’s not to ❤️ if you a 🐈⬛
Had a cat once who was addicted to angel food cake. Lasagna? Sure, why not? Usually has meat sauce as one of the layers, after all.
Lol now you can say "I was in Uranus!" Oh and the hair salon equipment. Two of those chairs are for hair drying. The other one looks like it's for curling hair.
ROFL 🤣 Uranus...too funny!
Love it!
15:28 I think that's to heat up the tubs they roll in your hair to curl your hair, I think that because of Saturday morrning cartoon taught me that :D
Uranus stretches from Missouri to Indiana.
Thanks!
Thank you!
Your welcome. I enjoy your videos. Always fun! Thanks for sharing!
Swayzee was my 1 thru
8th,, grade school‼️‼️‼️
My cat use to love spaghetti and she lived 21 years
If you have a chance you should stop at rocket fizz in Columbus. They have a lot of glass bottle sodas and interesting candy.
I'd definitely recommend the Avery's unicorn yack gross soda.
It's actually raspberry orange cream soda.
If you think Indiana is weird for a place for a winter storage place than try Baraboo Wisconsin
Enjoy Columbus! Did you see Googles celebration of Route 66?? Happy I followed you on that adventure too! Safe travels!
Ah yes! Anderson! I LOVE Anderson! I highly suggest visiting The Lemon Drop in Downtown Anderson, My Dad and I visit this restaurant a lot! I am from Fishers, IN so Anderson is not far from me!
