the reverse blade stance with daggers in DD 1 was better :(
That Magick Archer holy explosion attack against the Griffin is more reminiscent of Mystic Knight Holy Furor.
Oh snap, you're actually right! I guess was too hasty as I saw magick archer = magick archer and I forgot about Holy Furor. Thanks for pointing that about bud!
idk if warrior savage lunge is returning because there's a much cooler moves called goring lunge that charge impales enemies, it's in a warrior gameplay video by kurt hawkman when he meets a pawn that has the skill at 13:41 of the video.
Upward strike also has a a similar move where he stabs in, uses the sword as a lever, and yeets the enemy in a throw. can't remember which video i saw that in.
EDIT: nevermind on the second one, it's in the same video as the first and its a combo finisher or something. at 4:22 of 'Dragon's Dogma 2 Warrior Gameplay and Skills by kurt hawkman.
Removing the paladin class was a great error
In anticipation of DD2(I never played any of the serries until today) I got DDArisen and have to say its held up nicely. First thing i was worried about was the rumor that it is Jenky like souls games, not even close. In DD The sword swings and movement are the perfect weight and they flow just right and most of the systems worked good in the short time I played.I'm sold that this game with new improved graphics and a modern overhaul will be the greatest adventure. My only hope is that DD2 has hot keys for some of the potions and explosive concoctions etc... The menu select, put in hand, back out of menu and throw is a little rough in the heat of battle. Someone please, let me know if I missed it in DDA and there is a hot key. One more question, Is there a Roll key, because this video makes it seem so?
Should i play DDarisen?
@@drxerxess it's not necessary IMO. But you might like it. Its about 12 years old now I think. I didn't finish it . It was more just to see how the mechanics worked to see if I should get the new one, I think it its $4 on Steam now. It's not like a dark souls game though physics wise. which Im not a fan of so I got it
Aside from the classes changes, I was impressed by the visuals in the sequel. It made the first game's graphics look bland.
I like how they made the game even more based, by adding slight improvements, but keeping the stuff that works 🥹
I love how the body parts of the monsters are shaking when you smack 'em in the first one
Dd1 was something else lol, no more roll, double jumping, reversed grip, delayed attacks... And 8 skills vs 4 skills now wtf only graphics are cool, if only they did a remake instead of this
It's actually 6, 3 for main and 3 for secondary weapon

Now fast forward 10+ years...
Same game, worse jank, worse performance, better graphics (not that i care that much), 1.99 $ for each feature above...
But you know what? Of all the things i mentioned above, none of them pisses me off as much as the fact that I can't start a new game, imagine, the game is almost 100$, and I don't have the freedom to start a new save in the game i BOUGHT.
no Offline gane ever done such spineless thing, they waited until people bought the game, none of the pointless "DLCs" were there before the release btw, they waited... rats.

The gameplay is like always, it's not like any other game, but guess what ? You can't medify your character mid game unless you pay 1.99USD
You cant start a new save unless you pay 1.99USD
You cant fast travel unless... you guessed it, 1.99USD
Oh btw once you are able to modify your character after tou paid the 1.99USD
You can't modify everything, for that you need to buy the character creator... i can't believe im saying this.

Btw im not telling you to stay away from it or anything, this is a good dragon's dogma game, but the tactics they followed are shameless, having said that, if u have a console, get it there, don't do like me, im suffering on PC
So i will write it down here my secret weapon to farm easy RP in dragons dogma . Making the original astolfo big but fighter pawn .
