    I'm curious why he isn't recognized as much for his work on The System Had Failed. People only mention the early stuff. If people missed that album, it had him and Vinnie Colaiuta. It was missing Jr., but that is a sick Megadeth line up. Vinnie is the best drummer to ever record a Megadeth album. Chris arguably the best Megadeth guitarist.

    • @sonnic1995
      @sonnic1995 Před 4 lety +3

      That's in part because they don't play songs from that album too often. They basically have the same setlist every time, they only change it when a new album's coming to fit like 3 or 4 songs from it. I know everyone wants certain songs, but they should totally swtich some songs at some shows to make an bigger "tour setlist" At the time of the album release i'm pretty sure he got recognition.

    • @itsalwayssomething7490
      @itsalwayssomething7490 Před 4 lety +8

      @@sonnic1995 yeah, its frustrating. I've seen Megadeth over 20 times and in the last ten year they play essentially the same set. I call it the nostalgia set. All their "hits." I would love if they switched it up for long time fans, but I get that they are constantly play shorter sets and have to fit in their bigger songs.

    • @sonnic1995
      @sonnic1995 Před 4 lety +6

      @@itsalwayssomething7490 Basically. I mean look at other bands like Iron Maiden, when the Final Frontier was released, at first they had a long ass setlist, mainly new songs (it was a somewhat long album), they got a lot of backlash from the fans that wanted the same classic set list, so they changed it to be more like half new and half old... Then Book of Souls an even longer album also has like half and a half setlist for the tour... but megadeth only changes like 3 songs on every tour. The biggest setlist change in the past 20 years was when they played the entire Rust In Peace and then Countdown... Overall it's kinda sad that the fans are the ones "ensuring" no new album will ever get 100% played live. (When it comes to good albums tho)
