I hate that Mia forgot a few words but she recovered like a pro. I really like her authentic country voice and hope she can get her foot in the door in Nashville!!

Alot of times when people forget lyrics to a song they're performing they instantly go into shock and freeze up. You can tell shes built on confidence, she kept the ball rolling, kept the vibes going while doing small dances during instrumental breaks at those parts and overall did a masterful job, very well done! 👏

She was on top in my opinion. I think she could have won this competition. But, she will still be heard. Her voice is a winner. She'll be climbing up somewhere. Hope i get to see it.

She's been the first contestant sent home after forgetting her words. This year alone Emmy forgot hers and KB completely messed up her piano chords and both didn't handle it great. They also were the far weaker performers up til now. Honestly the voting this year is absolute bonkers. People don't seem to value skill, musicality or vocals at all. It's all about "what genre do I listen to" and "whom would I like my son/daughter to date/marry aka whom would I like to date/marry".
@@ann-kathrinfischer6763 They need a separate country idol. America does vote for their favorite genre. The country voting block is strong. Probably will be Will or Tristan. The voice is the same. Adam Lambert and Jennifer Hudson both lost. That says it all. 🤔
@@karenhardie1132 Adams and Jennifer both had FAR more musical variety in their seasons though...it's truly become a pure popularity contest. And I like country but honestly Will and Triston are a dime a dozen singers (though Triston definitely has potential to be more).
@@ann-kathrinfischer6763 Yeah, I wish a different genre would win now and then. Don't see it happening. It is a popularity contest. It's a great platform to be seen. Gospel, broadway, r&b, rock, soul are not popular with the masses.

Does anyone know what actually happened here? I feel like she was way off. Was she sick or wanted to go home or something? Like she forgot lyrics several times and didnt take any of the notes that Shania gave her. She just seemed like she just gave up.

She doesn't have a strong enough voice to compete against this overwhelmingly talented group of singers, but she's such a sweet kid and I believe with the right manager and voice coach, she can be extremely marketable, along with successful.

Basically all of the singers voted out so far are better vocalists than the remaining contestants. And I say that objectively as a professional singer and vocal coach. Mia was the last of the more polished singers and yes this really wasn't her best. Some of the ones left do have a lot of potential but still have work to do, some are a dime a dozen - good but I could name you a lot of pub singers in that same bracket

@@LargeMarge8671 her memaw is dead. And tbh she sounds nothing at all like her. I understand the “hate” from her having connections. But obviously those connections didn’t get her anywhere before idol so I see it as she’s earning it herself.
@@SilverStrumer a lot of the contestants shed tears. If Emmy was nice enough to turn around to hug her she could’ve atleast gave her a little side hug. It just made her look mean tbh. I’m not even an Emmy fan never even voted for her but I just thought it was weird Mia basically rejecting her bc she was rejected. Roman & kayko was happy for all their fellow contestants when they got sent home 🤷🏻♀️
I didn't even know she forgot the lyrics until Luke said something. I feel bad for Mia because that comment must have been embarrassing for her. She obviously already knew she had forgotten the lyrics, so it didn't need to be said.
