beckylink absolutely. She’s a top five all time female country singer, number one for me, but no one can deny she’s as good as whomever the country crowd deem as best. I’m a metal fan basically so... She definitely doesn’t seem to get the recognition she deserves. She has a unique, powerful, and classic voice. I always considered Karen Carpenter to be the best female singer, but Sara Evans is right there, if not better. I just really like her. My mom used to listen to country in the 70s when I was a kid, and Sara Evans sounds like those classic country singers - real country.

I agree totally about Taylor Swift being grossly overrated but disagree about Carrie. Carrie Underwood has a helluva voice and I have to admit when Bo Bice came in 2nd on American Idol I was disappointed but Carrie's voice is exceptional. But I LOVE Sara Evans and yes she is most underrated. Her voice is impeccable!!

Honestly I wouldn't consider this pop country! This sounds nothin close to the pop trash that Miranda lambert and Carrie underwood sing. I'd consider this song in particular the equivalence of Texas country compared to traditional country! It doesn't have the true traditional style, but it's the closest thing out there bein written today to it!

What a beauty
Let me tell you, I have seen Sara in concert when she came to Seven Feathers Casino in Canyonville, Oregon with my mom. Grew up listening to her pretty much my whole life with my mom being the one who introduced me to her.
Sara shook my hand on stage and let me tell you, in a day and age of auto tune and lack-luster talent, she is a saving grace in country music. And when she sings live, she can belt it better than most. Makes me glad she is my all-time favorite country singer. (And yes, I already loved her before said concert).
Thank you Sara for speaking to me through your music and helping me see a better light in the world, as well as helping strengthen mine and mom's bond through the years through your music. ^^ ❤
