- We made a stop at historic Scone Palace and Moot Hill, site of the crowning of a number of early Scottish kings. The large, stately home is still an active residence of the Murray family who has lived on the property for over 400 years, though the building we see today is only just over 200 years old. We made this stop as our first location on Day 1 in Scotland, May 4th, 2024.

Scone Palace is wonderful, I've stayed in Aberfeldy and climbed Ben Lawers here. Lovely area!
Scone Palace was very interesting to visit, and we did enjoy our first night in the Aberfeldy area. We agree, it was a lovely area!
