Me after watching this video: This is how a book review should be done. Period.
You did such a good job with putting across your thoughts, so detailed and insightful. I will be reading it soon. Also, loved the life metaphor you brought out in the 'Disliked' section. It's so true, I feel that especially now.
Aww you're always so kind! Thank you so so so much, Ayushi 🥺🥺❤️❤️
@@TheMelodramaticBookworm Mucho amor! 💜
I have this book since last five years but still haven't gotten around to read it...
Loved your detailed review 👍
Thanks so much, Shaloo 😍😍
I totally agree with you. This book is beautiful and one of my favourites, but the thing is you close this book and feel tinge of disappointment. I don't know why that is. But you know what...the lowland is a 5/5 . Lahiri did an amazing job. I would love if you review it🥺🥺🥺❤️
Yesss! Totally understand that disappointment! 🥺 Some books are just like that I guess...
Oooh I have that book. Will try to read and review it ASAP. Noted 😍😍😍
@@TheMelodramaticBookworm ❤️❤️😭😭 you are too niceee❤️❤️
The way you were able to put down all those takeaways and thoughts from the book is commendable! It's one book you'd appreciate more after you leave it. I, for one had experienced it first hand. 😄 And, one minor correction, it's Interpreter of Maladies that had won her the Pulitzer prize in 2000, and not this book. May be you'd like her short story collections better than a full length novel.🥂🤗
Thank you so much 🥺🥺❤️❤️
Ah thanks for pointing it out 😍
I did end up enjoying Whereabouts tho 😁
I am in love with your reviews!!!
Thank youuu! 😭❤️❤️
Hello 😁❤️❤️
Helpful😇
Glad it helped 😊
Mam can u help me to do a project I'm ENGLISH LITERATURE Student studying 3rd year I have choosen this book and I choosen a title CULTURAL DESPARITY in this book THE NAMESAKE can u help me to do a project in CULTURAL DESPARITY
I don't think I can remotely help you do it. 🥺
I think there is very less plot and a lot of unnecessary detailed explanation of crockery and house. I understand that's plot building but it's too much.
I agree but also disagree just a little. I think the reason there was so much description about the crockery and the house was because of nostalgia and because that house is home to Gogol. But I do agree that it was a bit too much 🥺

Yes you can read it
@@harshithabharadwaj5040 Thanks!
:)
As Harshitha already said, absolutely yes. But not basic beginner IMO.
Is it a thriller type book
No it's domestic fiction 😊
Found this book a bit boring
To be honest, I didn’t enjoy reading this book at all ! Just couldn’t relate with the protagonist: Gogol !
I understand that! :)
Honestly this book disappointed me a little
Aww 😔
