Thank you! I was making myself sick thinking about giving myself T shot but I followed your video and it was completely painless. in fact, the only painless injection I've ever had.
She did every thing wrong. Lol. Never use a 18 gage needle. The vials are pre-pressurized. No need to add air. Never touch the critical site of the syringe, which is the needle and needle critical site and the plunger. That patient has his fingers on the injection site while injecting. Nice way to have a infection.
Just did my second self injection. I’m surprised how easier it gets. Practice makes perfect. No pain from the “needle stick” either. Just learning to find the easiest way to put the rx into the syringe without sticking myself. I also was told put ice on the injection site to reduce swelling and make the area numb.
s it possible to give a shot without aspiration and an insulin needle? 1. Aren't you afraid of getting into a vessel (I did that once) 2.Aren't you afraid of getting under the skin instead of into the muscle?
Awesome instructions Doc! I've been doing it WRONG and much more painful for far too long! Thank you so very much for the "free appointment"! You're definitely my new CZcams doctor! God bless and take care...
It’s better to draw using a 25G or 27G, using a 18G on a multi-use vial can cause holes to form in the rubber seal and rubber to fall into the testosterone vial.
25Gauge is the way to go... no need for a drawing needle yes it's quick but it wastes so much oil (test)... this video was so bad I couldn't even watch. should be titled "how to waste as much expensive testosterone as possible..." Then she said to hold the needle like a dart!!!? and jammed it in as fast as he could. that is so wrong. I can't even tell you how bad that for your skin and scarring. you should always go in more carefully and never, ever like a dart. That's a good way to damage a nerve, or get scarring, or break the needle tip right off! You make a great Point as well. I was once given an 18 gauge to draw with an out of a 1 ml little tiny bottle. yes it works great and quickly but the rubber on the bottle didn't steal backup fully because an 18 gauge is like a harpoon, cutting into the rubber on the top of the bottle keeping it from doing its job and sealing back up...
25 gauge takes forever to draw the oil into the syringe. 27 gauge probably will not work at all. Too thin. I used to use 25g, switched to 22g. Takes less than 10 seconds to draw in, versus over 2 minutes.
Another quick way to inject the correct quadrant is to put your hand where your pockets are and approximately where your ring finger sets on the outside portion of the quad is a good area. My injections always go well and no blood or anything ejects as the needle is removed.
Remember, before you go on trt. Some men respond differently to hormone therapy. Many doctors are reluctant to prescribe 200mg or more test a week. What does this all mean? It means your 300mg could be another man's 150mg. Some guys feel okay with a test of 700, some guys feel okay with their test levels at 1,500. U.S doctors won't care about how you feel, only that your test ranges from 200 - 950.
@Yuri Bezmenov Was Right, my doctor has been prescribing me 200mg per week for years, but I've never seen what my levels are. He does blood work every three months and keeps prescribing it like that, so I'm assuming my levels aren't too high.
I started on 200mg/weekly. For me, it turned out to be too much. For some reason, I had horrible cramping in my legs. Decreased by half and started feeling closer to normal. Later increased to a little over half an mL (to marks more on the syringe from half (however much that is) and have been getting the better feeling and positive results without cramping and pain. My wife usually gives me shots in my glutes, but have just done the shots to the thigh muscles. No pain at all initially. A little stiffness kinda pain a few minute's after, but feels more like soreness. Hoping thatvmay produce the same effects as my wife and I have been on different sleep schedules and she hasn't been able to give me my shots as I need them. I definitely feel a difference in my daily life! More drive, will and desire to do more active things like workout, daily work, things around the house and just the desire to get put of bed. Wife says she notices an improvement in my livelihood. Though still dealing with some ups and downs in the bedroom department. Hoping that improves with the slight increase as well! This video helped me gain the confidence in giving myself the injections in my thigh muscles. Only the second time I've done them, Hoping that it's going to produce more positive results!
OK, I just finished my first TRT injection on 5/9/22 at 4:05 PM and it was pretty easy to do. Really no pain at all and that surprised me. I actually put this off for almost 2 weeks because I was so hesitant about doing this myself. So far, so good and I will update if I see any complications at the injection site.
@@jeremiegraveline4213 25g 5/8” is my preference for quad and deltoid injections. If you do not have a lot of fatty tissue in these areas, you can easily get deep enough into the muscle. My Practitioner said he used a 27g 5/8” for his delts and glutes but I think it would be too much effort to push the oil through. The 25g is comfortable for me.
@@jeremiegraveline4213 The needles came with my prescription from the drug store so you shouldn't have to determine that yourself; just use what they give you as it's probably an industry standard for TRT.
18 gage and 26 gage. I use much larger syrynge. You can draw up a small amount of air into the top of syringe that will push all the product out. Tip. Always draw back when needle is in looking for bood return. Find new sight if you hit vein. A tip is to remove the needle as slow as possible for less bleeding. Hold cotton swab over site after needle is removed for about 3 minutes.
I guess everybody does it differently. I've been self injecting for 2 years now and the way I've always been taught is to elevate my thigh just a little (so by putting my foot on a box, stack of pillows, etc), squeeze the injection site together because it's a LOT easier and I found it to be less painful this way, slowly insert the needle and when all the medication in the syringe is gone then slowly back out. I do this to avoid accidentally hitting a vein which I DEFINITELY have done before annnd there was SO MUCH blood coming out running down my leg so DON'T DO WHAT I DID! Of course do not forget to sterilize your equipment and injection site before you do anything 🙏
@@RocksNRuts4 I was able to know I hit a vein because during one of my last injections I could feel the needle hitting a stringy, kinda of tough texture in my leg and I knew it felt off because for intramuscular injections there should be little to no resistance on the needle. If you have to force it then choose another spot because that one isn't good. Of course scar tissue WILL build up over time which makes it someone difficult as well however its a different kinda tough. Hard to explain lol
I just did this with a 22 gauge needle, and it was virtually painless! It hurt way less than the ones nurses have given me! Thank you so much, I feel so confident now!

Perfection! This method is painless and easy . My urologist told me a completely different way. My doctor said use a 1- 1/2 inch needle to inject on the top of my thigh, not on the side. Anyway thank you so much just help me out a lot
Dr. Daller method will not work as shown. If you follow this Instructional, please substitute the 30 gauge needle for a 23 gauge. Test C will not go through a 30 g needle.
I'm curious about the length of injection needle, it seems that the length you are suggesting would not leave the subcutaneous layer to properly inject into the muscle. I have been told by my doctor and nurses that you need at least 1 inch long needles to hit the muscle that is below the skin and subcutaneous layer.
I have been injecting into my buttocks area for years. I use a one inch 18 gauge(pink tip) to draw. I then use a 1.5 inch 22 gauge(grayish-brownish tip) to inject. I found that when I used a one inch needle it never went deep enough.
#22 needle works fine, injects easily in the location shown in the video, and for that tip, I am very grateful to Gulfstates Urology. *My* doctor recommended injecting in my hip, just like his nurse does it. I'm sorry, it's not physically possible to contort yourself around and give yourself a shot behind your back!
@ Robert C, I actually prefer the hip injection, it keeps my levels more even and consistent. I've tried the quad injections but they seem to spike faster and fall off faster.
I did my shot last week and my leg muscle made a big involuntary spasm right before the injection. I never had this before and was funny see the auto-defense of my muscle working in this way.
I AGREE. I have to use a 23 to get that thick stuff moving. I have pushed the injector through the rubber tip twice now because of pressure trying to get it out., Losing my testosterone. I don't know what kind they are using but I have never seen it. Oh and yes I use B12 also no problem.
A 30g needle is quite thin, they should have injected Testosterone instead of B-12 in their demonstration, as Testosterone is in a thick oil, and B-12 is water based-injecting them is very different when using a small gauge needle.
Wished my doctor gave me all this advice. I didn't know about filling vials with air first. They told me to pinch skin, but I see most videos spread tight not pinch. Thanx for the video.
Those things are dangerous. You should always go in slow. If you are over a vein or nerve and you dart the needle in like that you will have problems. When you go in slow the needle itself will move major veins out of the way or you will get a slight pain signal if you're too close to something.
Wow....all these witty, original comments in here about the blonde Dr.......🙄 This video is probably the best demo I've seen for TRT injection. I think people underestimate how important it is to have absolute certainty when injecting at home. Thank you Gulfstream. Appreciate this.
They apparently recently decided that it's completely unnecessary if you're doing it in the delt or "doctor approved" injection spots but yea I agree you should definitely pull back just to be sure
@@kylejasonpt doctor approved areas are usually the outer thigh, the center bicep or the upper glut (butt). Since there's no major blood vessels in those specific spots they feel there's no need to aspirate. I've been doing my shots for a couple months now in my outer thigh and haven't been aspirating. I'm 38 and just started testosterone replacement because of side effects from brain radiation therapy. Currently on Androgel and now debating switching to injection. Doesn't look that bad and you only have to do it once a week.
24 years old here suffering from hypogonadism and I just started TRT 2 days. The doctor recommended Androgel as well but ended with doing injections instead as after extensive research, gels seem to be inconsistent due to absorption rate/percentage, the posibility to rub off to other people and also because it has a higher chance of accelerating hair loss due to higher potential of increasing DHT. I am doing 200mg/week of testosterone enanthate split into 2 doses/week, equating to 100mg/dose.
This video was fantastic now even my 3 year old daughter is able to do her own testosterone injections. We are raising her as a boy and after few weeks of tantrums we final gave her her first shot and now she is totally on board. Thanks doctors!
Man..... I did a thigh injection for my first injection 3 days ago after watching this well made vid and I will never do it again. My thigh muscle is still sore like I hit a good leg day, but I didn't. Screw the thigh for injections. I'm moving to the glut from now on.
You're not lying. The nurse told me to pinch my thigh and stick the needle in. I use 18 gauge. I've been on these shots for 3 months. My thighs stay sore and bruised. Is there an easier way?
Why not inject subcutaneous...according to a Harvard study, such an approach increases test levels without the painful and bruising intramuscular method
Most practitioners are pulling away from quads due to possibility of hitting blood vessels and nerves. On a side note I get a tremendous amount of post pain from quad injections.
Once you hit one nerve, the body learns and it's so hard to inject again in that area!!! I only do the butt cheeks and it's a quick stick and push and done. No pain no hassle. Just gotta stretch the back first so you don't cramp. by twisting and then touch your toes.
I would never do quads just because I'm very lean at 95kg. It would hurt too much. Glutes are fine, just find the right area that works for you...I've always hit more blood vessels on my left side so I do right side all the time unless still sore/tender.

For those of you that need the advice… I am 1 year and 1 month on testosterone FTM I use a 22G needle I do it on my thigh. I pinch my skin try to relax and I never feel it not even entering! Hope that helps! Still a difficult thing to do since your body wants to fight off your instinct about not stabbing your self basically lol GOODLUCK!
@@asdghkii Bad advice. You're basically collecting a deep tissue sample using a 22. 25G is much better and similar injection time anyway. You want to cause as little scar tissue as possible. Other spots I use a 29G 1/2 inch like the delts. Very easy spot.
If you can find these gauge needles in 2023 you're set ... but the 18 draw and the 28 injection needles have been impossible to find. I've learned to draw and inject with a 22 ga and it's a bit more painful but tolerable.

You can push it through any gauge you just cant suck it up. It would take ages! To push through a 30. I prefer bigger needles and a quick push through than thinner and have the pin wiggling inside and im pushing pressire on the plunger. I prefer 24g and using a 3ml syringe so its less travel in pushing down. All personal preference. You are also less likely to be "in" a blood vessel the larger the gauge
yea, i used that area and hit a vein. use the opposite way to squeeze the skin and muscle, go more to the center then stab like a dart. less painfull and no blood
30g needle for test? That'll take 3 days to inject. Plus you didn't aspirate nor did you leave the needle in for a few seconds to stop the test from coming back out. Not saying you did it wrong, just not as through.
Looked great, except she mentioned a 30-gauge needle -- love that size, but even with a 25-gauge it's hard to get the liquid through that small a needle - and the one shown isn't long enough to get into the muscle.
They are clueless. Way too short and way to fine at 30 gauge is ridiculous. Good luck shooting oil through a 30 gauge it's to slow and mega pressure needed. Even 25 g is slow and hard to push out. Clueless. Waste of time show people wrong ways
As soon as I saw him put the syringe in his leg and I saw the red fluid, I said, "That looks like B-12 not test!" I get B-12 AND TRT at the same time! lol
Kitchen sinks are known for having the most bacteria in a house because people rinse raw meat in them and bacteria feed on the food that goes down the drain from leftover dishes. People also tend to clean bathrooms more often than kitchen sinks since they view bathrooms as a dirtier place. So I don't think its a problem to have these items around a bathroom sink or utility sink.
Is it possible to give a shot without aspiration and an insulin needle? 1. Aren't you afraid of getting into a vessel (I did that once) 2.Aren't you afraid of getting under the skin instead of into the muscle?
30 gauge by 1/2" needle for an intramuscular injection? You better be very lean, or you're not going to reach the muscle. 30 gauge is a little small to push cypionate through. I've always used 25 gauge x 1". Also when taking the needle cap off, keep your wrists together to prevent needle sticks. You can practice this technique with an old style Bic pen.
I know it's a year old...but I just happened to see this video - YIKES!!! Gentleman, some pointers from a sports med/Tele-Medicine consultant doing this for 13 years(and doing test shots for over 20): •30 Gauge for T injection-blahahahahahaha! Try it fellas(don't)! Good isometric exercise for your thumb muscles! Also if you're inexperienced you will likely bend the syringe either when inserting into the vial or when attempting to administer the actual injection! •And testosterone "Sy-pony-ate" - Lol! I have a pony named Sy, and she ate..._____!" Geeez. It's spelled CYPIONATE. Correct pronounciation: "Sip-eon-ate". •Modern day vials (post 2002-2005)come pressurized; so do not "draw in extra air" or inject "extra air back into the vial". That's a good way to over pressurize the vial and lose a bunch of test on the subsequent injection as you withdraw the pin from the vial! You will also dull the head of the pin as you RE-insert it through the rubber cork-top on the vial. Don't do this! Draw with 18-20 Gauge. Inject with 23-25 Gauge(if using classic IM needle/syringe). If you are using IM, you want to draw with the 18, unscrew it, screw on the 23 or 25 Gauge pin, inject with THAT ONE. 18G is like a knitting needle. DO NOT PUT THAT HARPOON IN YOUR FLESH! Optional/Experienced: If you are lean, you can use insulin syringes (orange caps). Even then, DO NOT USE 30 Gauge. 28 at the thinnest (smallest diameter). They do not make insulin pins longer than 5/8", the next length is 1.0" which is IM (intramuscular) by definition and not SC (subcutaneous). Also insulin pins are not adjustable, so you will shoot with the same one you draw with. Another reason not to RE-insert the pin into the vial stopper to "inject air" (like she does in the video). The thinner the pin, the easier it dulls and the more likely it is to bend. Note 1: The bigger the Gauge #, the smaller the actual pin diameter (I.e. The NEEDLE, as opposed to the 'syringe' which technically refers to the 'case' or barrel which holds the fluid/drug). Note 2: Most testosterone preparations use sesame oil or grapeseed oil as the excipient (solution). Both are fairly viscous and 30 Gauge...is...NO Bueno! 28G or less cuttoff. Good luck!
Random thoughts for comment: Do you agree a 28g 1/2" insulin syringe at 45 degrees should make it IM in the delts (not fat)? Or is this probably subcutaneous? I saw this demonstrated on another video. Why hasn't anyone made a table with IM locations and suggested 90 deg insertion needle lengths for adult skinny / fat? It's nowhere on the web. That's why people are so lost and confused. My thought process for needle lengths (near or full insertion) is 1/2" for delts, 5/8 to 1" for lateral quads, 1 to 1.5" for ventrogluteal and dorsogluteal injections. I've done the dorso, ventro, and delts myself and your comment about bending the syringe concerns me because I never watched for this and don't understand the issue with this. One additional note on the 28g versus the 22g. I'm thinking the 22-23g would leave more scar tissue. What do I know? Thanks for the pressurized vial information. The insulin syringe demo said to push extra air in to draw test oil easier through the 28 g needle. That made sense but didn't account for possible future leakage during needle removal.
@@drewmonroe4942 Hey Drew - you're understanding of what length pins are needed to inject into the various body-part and or specific muscular groups you mentioned are all good and reasonable. I do think ½ inch length is enough (although I prefer 5/8") to hit intramuscular in and around the shoulder (side and rear deltoid heads). That's if we are assuming a decently muscular and healthy male with a sufficient amount of both mass as well as a low enough body-fat level (although that shouldn't be a concern because not even obese individuals hold subcutaneous fat in and on the actual deltoids). Also - consider the volume of injection...if we're talking normal 1mL or cc injection volumes at max, then ½" pin should be fine because even if the pin doesn't penetrate through the subdermis and completely into the muscle(thereby leaving oil depot in the sub-Q space), there will be just a small quantity of fluid stuck in the area. The result will be the "lumping" and "welting" that are common when using insulin pins for IM injections. It will be annoying and likely hurt for a few days, but it will still be absorbed all the same and no harm done. But still - why be a masochist, just go a bit deeper with the 5/8" or even the 1.0". I have found clients who are not previous advanced users of AAS, who have done few to no IM shots for any reason prior to their Testosterone Replacement Therapy, have zero issues with a 25G x ⅝- 1.0" pin for injection. Just make sure to use the technique recommendationdeecrivee in the next few paragraphs. All of my guys have been strictly taught to use an 18-20 gauge pin to pull/draw with, and they switch to a fresh 25gauge that they use prior to injection...EVERYTIME. Luer lok syringes/pins are best because the pins are screw/unscrew on and off easily (not to mention quickly and safely). Protocol: Order 100 18-20G x 1" or 1.5" pins (when I say pin, I mean "needle only") along with 100 5/8" 25G syringes (full packages barrel and needle together). Total should be

ASPIRATE. Injecting oil into your glute or quad you should be pulling back gently on the plunger to make sure you’re not in a vein (it’s not a happy ending if you inject oil into your vein). Injecting 2ml or less you can self inject your deltoid, typically you don’t need to aspirate in this site. Glutes or quads you must aspirate. Also I would recommend a longer blue needle for quads this small needle is too short but would be fine for deltoids. Stay safe guys ☝🏻

It’s better to draw using a 25G or 27G, using a 18G on a multi-use vial can cause holes to form in the rubber seal and rubber to fall into the testosterone vial.
im not even given a 25g for injection, lol
25Gauge is the way to go... no need for a drawing needle yes it's quick but it wastes so much oil (test)...
this video was so bad I couldn't even watch. should be titled "how to waste as much expensive testosterone as possible..."
Then she said to hold the needle like a dart!!!?
and jammed it in as fast as he could. that is so wrong.
That dudes test was through the roof when she was rubbing his quad 😂
What gauge needle did you had ? Thank you
@@jeremiegraveline4213 25g 5/8” is my preference for quad and deltoid injections.

Having her do the injection would augment my testosterone level naturally.
Of course do not forget to sterilize your equipment and injection site before you do anything 🙏
did u type that right? if u inject how would u kno ur in a vein? u have to put in, then retract the plunger n look for blood....
@@RocksNRuts4 I was able to know I hit a vein because during one of my last injections I could feel the needle hitting a stringy, kinda of tough texture in my leg and I knew it felt off because for intramuscular injections there should be little to no resistance on the needle. Of course scar tissue WILL build up over time which makes it someone difficult as well however its a different kinda tough. Hard to explain lol

I just followed the instructions precisely. They are not kidding....no pain. Thank you for the tutorial. Talk about easy. Piece of cake.
Thank you. I used your technique along with the Auto injector/Needle Guide sold by Spark Hormone Therapy. ABSOLUTELY PAINLESS!!!!!

Those things are dangerous. You should always go in slow. If you are over a vein or nerve and you dart the needle in like that you will have problems. When you go in slow the needle itself will move major veins out of the way or you will get a slight pain signal if you're too close to something.

Well done. Is this oil based cypionate? I didn’t know you could go 30g needle with oil. Thought 22-24 was thinnest.

Sinks are known for the most bacteria, I don't care how clean it looks....definitely not thinking to lay these items around a sink

This is a good explanatory video. It is quite specific and very useful for personal health injections. Thank you. 2Feb20.
Gentleman, some pointers from a sports med/Tele-Medicine consultant doing this for 13 years(and doing test shots for over 20):
•30 Gauge for T injection-blahahahahahaha!
Optional/Experienced:
If you are lean, you can use insulin syringes (orange caps).
Note 1:
The bigger the Gauge #, the smaller the actual pin diameter (I.e. The NEEDLE, as opposed to the 'syringe' which technically refers to the 'case' or barrel which holds the fluid/drug).
Note 2:
Most testosterone preparations use sesame oil or grapeseed oil as the excipient (solution). Both are fairly viscous and 30 Gauge...is...NO Bueno! 28G or less cuttoff. Good luck!
Random thoughts for comment:
Do you agree a 28g 1/2" insulin syringe at 45 degrees should make it IM in the delts (not fat)?

Hey Drew - you're understanding of what length pins are needed to inject into the various body-part and or specific muscular groups you mentioned are all good and reasonable.

@@ForeverLittleBear thanks for the reply. The only thing is the 18 is to draw & the 22 is to inject 💉
I just never understood why I can't just use the one. Thanks 🙏
Stay safe guys ☝🏻
not only glutes and quads but with every spot. weird thing is that doctors and nurses never aspirate. they even do not learn on their education (at least where I am.from). very odd.
@Milo Milo why take the risk? I have had several times aspirated a good amount of blood.. if the oil hits the bloodstream fully it can be deadly
@@VincentATurba That's a lie......
So the needle she used to inject test is 30 G, an insulin needle?
"how to inject testosterone" *shows B12 injection*....
That hot blondie is my testosterone i ever need in my ××××
I mean if you know anything about the Test injection it's exactly the same.
This was the best description!! Thank you.
Mr Long is getting long
Never do quads; glutes is still easy for self injection; and it’s really pain free.
0:56 Cypionate is pronounced sip-pee-oh-nate not sigh-pony-ate
Hahahah I thought the same thing 😂 I love the way you showed the pronunciations
