Mirabella :: NeSpoon :: Sicily / Italy :: 2024

Mirabella Inbiscari is an old small town in Sicily. In the city where there used to be a lace school, and in the collectionsof a local museum, I came across a characteristic decoration called "riccioli e rose". The inspiration for my mural was a beautiful doily with this motif.
I am very grateful for the invitation and the extraordinary two weeks spent at Mirabella Imbaccari with Daniela Macri. Thank you to Angela Terranova and her family for their care and personal approach. My thanks go to all the organizations, especially La Fondazione Horcynus Orca, La Fondazione INCONTROcorrente E.T.S. and Foundation MeSSInA and people involved in the creation of my mural. Thank you to Major Mirabelli Giovanni Ferro and Vice Mayor David Granato. Finally, I am very grateful to the people of the city for their extremely warm and cordial welcome.
