Some may scoff, but you’re absolutely right about cases being make-or-break. My first two sets of HAs were Oticon but I ruled them out this time because of the lidless case and went with Phonak instead. Not that Phonak’s cases are perfect, either - they now have at least three different cases for Audeo Paradise HAs each with different features, but it feels like all of them have something missing (like needing an external battery pack, for example). But across the industry it seems like cases have gone from just an afterthought to a clearly essential part of the package given the dominance of rechargeables.

@@TheRichb688 Clearly sound quality is important. But if I don't have a charger that protects my HAs from pets (or from falling out or being damaged in my bag, or wherever else I'm charging them if need be) then I can't hear anything at all... a company that makes great-sounding HAs should figure this out, too.
Please compare the best Oticon vs Phonak Paradise 90. I greatly appreciate your videos. Wish I had had that when I first started wearing aids 20 years ago.
I’ve got the flashing 3 orange lights of death. I’m not sure if it needs reset or sent to oticon. Ideas? Please. I am a disabled veteran on hospice. I’m 52 w Parkinsons. Hearing means everything to me. Thank you for taking time for making videos doc. I’ve saved ‘em all.
Does the smart charger now come with the hearing aids when purchased? I'm 41 and just got fitted for a set of them and pick them up next week.
Great tutorial, I love my Oticon hearing aids and all the added benefits. I do have one problem with my charger one orange led light blinks continuously when plugged in. Thanks for your help.

That's really good. Actually more surprised with the USB-C. Since Oticon is big time into Apple. I have opn s1. I also use old brick rugged android with the connect clip.
I just got the new portable Oticon charger which worked well for a week but suddenly stopped working yesterday .thank god i had the old charger which workes well.can you help!
Leaving the SmartCharger unpluged and not putting in the hearing aids for charge; how long will it take for the charger to go from 3 green to 2 green?
AirPods have existed since 2016 and had this feature for a very long time. Shame a hearing aid company cannot figure out how to make their products modern because they assume only old people use them. Been using hearing aids since I was 13 and changing batteries is annoying, whereas Airpods just work and charge smoothly.
I have the Phonak 90L and their powerbank charger at a cost of $5000+, But was having issues with the my new 90L hearing aids, so I'm borrowing a set of the Oticon More from my ENT and so far i like them much better. The sound is more clear and sounds more real and less sharp. The Oticons are easier to use and the domes are even better too. Ive had issues with Phonak's phone App with it disconnecting and not keeping my settings, But the Oticon app is great, connects easy to my Samsung phone and just works.
How much does it cost? I just got the new Oticon More 1 and my audiologist gave me the other one saying that option wasn’t available with Oticon as I was finishing a trial with Signa 7’s I think they were and they had the portable.
Anyway I’ll look at purchasing it separately now. Do I contact my audiologist?
How do you know if an ear mold is proper for you? I use regular dome.
Will this new charger work with HA designed for the desk charger (OPN S1)?

The same charger comes with the Philips 9040 at Costco. I suspect at a significantly lower price. Cliff didn't mention that.

The charging light on the right hearing aid is not illuminating, how will I know if it’s charging or if the travel charger is faulty? This is my first time using it.

I'm so excited to get mine. I'm hopeful that the lights are dampened by the case a bit. Currently I have to take my hearing aids out before ready for bed rather then right before so I can leave them in my office. Otherwise I'm staring into a very bright green light all night
The lights turn off after a short period of time.
Yes these green lights light up the room. I put them in another room. Since I am in a trial period, I am considering going with the battery option. I would rather carry small batteries than the charger!

You talked about dehydration. Is there a way to put a descant into the charger so that it will be better at dehydrating the aids?
You could probably fit a small desiccant into the charger case.
My audiologist said Oticon said there is a limited supply of these new chargers and presently Oticon is only selling them with new hearing aid orders. If so, when will these be available to those who already have Oticon hearing aids?
Soon, but if your contact your HAP they should be able to order one when they place the order for someone else and then assign the serial number to you instead. I've done that for my patients.

any update about whisper hearing aid vs oticon more what will be impact of higher number of channel combined with AI vs low number of channel ?
Are you able to turn on/off the charging function so that you can use it as just a carrying case when traveling, when you don't need it to be charging?
Once the HAs are fully charged they do not continue to use up the battery. Thus, the result is the same as just using it as a carrying case.
I have the Oticon opn s1. Is this charger compatible and available for upgrade? I love the portability aspect.
I haven't tested it with the Opn S1s but I suspect that it would work.
I just got Oticon More and I chose this charger rather than the old charger.
Can you help me I need find out the sound I have Oticon Xceed 3 BTE UP so I heard very clear but to call really loud is feeling sound like talk to fan not fan sound so what you call it to fix it I what there 5 time is same sound I don’t like what I say to him
I just took delivery of my brand new Jabra Enhance Pro 10 HAs that includes the new portable charger rather than the traditional wall plug in charger. I was lucky not to spend $250 for this portable charger that gives me three days of charge.
This video is older. This charger is now included with Oticon Hearing Aid purchases.
Pricing on the Oticon system?
The biggest issue with these chargers is having the plug at the back. The plugs break when the top lid is opened and the charger tilts back onto the plug. The plug should be on the side of these chargers. This has been a huge problem for one manufacturer
This new charger is a big improvement.
I passed up on the rechargable Oticon more and went with the traditional replacement battery model. I couldn’t see carrying around a charger with me when I travel. Also, I live in a hurricane zone where we can lose power for weeks and it becomes a hassle to recharge hearing aids every night without electricity. Finally, I am severely hearing impaired and cannot hear the phone or burglar alarm without at least one hearing aid in ear when sleeping. I can’t do that if it needs to be in the charger recharging every night.

Depending on where you go, probably $275 to $325 per charger.

@@n206ja Thanks for this recommendation. With shipping from Germany to USA, it was $218. It is much cheaper than the $325 at Merit Hearing.

what does 3 flashing orange lights mean
charger is kind of cool, but if its accessories that are important then does oticon match the tv tuner and the roger select that phonak have? Also do they have bluetooth to android and iphone now?
Different hearing aid brands are not compatible when it comes to accessories. With Roger devices, sometimes you can use them with different brands. That is why it is important to identify what accessories you would like before you decide on a particular brand.
@@DrCliffAuD True that...although i think with Roger select if its another brand you need some kind of attachment. While i have your attention i'd love to see you do 2 videos. One on the difference between buying a base model hearing aid like the audeo life vs all the bells and whistles version. 2ndly a comparison between the best oticon and the best phonak right now, strengths and weaknesses of both

I have been using my Oticon More 1 devise with the iPhone Pro 12 for 3 months. I recently bought the iPhone 13 Pro and I have a problem since it does not recognized my Oticon More 1 and streming is no longer possible !!!!
I wrote to Oticon about that and in search of a solution. Waiting for their comments.

I love my oticons BUT the chargers are the the reason I am thinking of getting rid of mine.. I am on my 4th the first one worked great then It stopped work.. The VA gave me a new one and 2 months latter It died.. The new one lasted 3 weeks.. Waiting for a new one OTICON get you Crap together.

I just got mine and I'm already getting a 3 Orange blink system error. Worked fine the first few weeks. However, I'm now sitting on a weekend unable to get to my otologist. I've tried:
Switching cables
Switching USB adaptor.
Changing from Left/right
Leaving to charge overnight
I'm dealing with this now. Did you ever resolve this?
@@krislastrand5848 I did. I had to send it in for repair. Alternatively I was told letting the charge case run out and then trying to recharge it will work, but I've not tried it. Once I sent it in for repair I haven't had any problems.

Here in Canada (Montréal) I was told that Oticon has stoped selling this new charger because of a thecnical problem !! Is there any truth with that ?

Why do oticon hearing aids cost 6600. Dollars.
Ask your provider. That cost should come with some best practice audiologic care as well.
