Mrs. Reagan was the epitome of elegance, class and hospitality. Diana Princess of Wales was such a beautiful soul.
Both inverted!
Mrs. Reagan was so soft mannered and elegant. Our beloved Diana was stunning that night.
I had just been born this day, not far away at Greater Southeast Hospital in DC. Kinda cool.
How Beautiful Princess Diana was. Just stunning.
I remember their trip. Diana was such a beauty!
Yes she was. And only a few years later she would be dead.
@@anacletwilliams8315 12 years later.
@@shahrulamar5358 Yes, exactly. Just a few years later.
I always loved the Travolta dress!
Ronald and Nancy Reagan and Princess Diana R.I.P
This was one of Diana's most stunning gowns accessorized by an equally stunning diamond choker. It was at this state dinner when Princess Diana had her famous after-dinner dance with John Travolta:

Nacy, look's so pretty,& so does Diana!

She always brillant. Forever Diana princess ❤️❤️😍😍

Imagine Diana as a First Lady 🥰
she would be a nut case......
@@heyyyguuurlthe only nutcase here is u yourself. Foool
One of the most loving, strong and unswerving marriages in the world of politics contrasted with one of the most scandalous marriage
Nancy always impeccable.
Always.
I always remember how Diana loved to visit the US. I think she felt more free from the at times vile British tabloids and she wasn't restricted by Royal protocol .
Not knocking the Monarchy ,just giving my thoughts on how Diana saw things
2:15 What are they chanting in the background?
Nice Video!
Bodo
dang Mrs Reagan was so teeny
I’m like the footage
Prince Charles checking his cuff links that Camilla gave him. Such an underhanded man.
when you think Three out of the Four are now dead ?
It’s crazy.
4 out of 4
What are the people chanting?
Not sure! so lets see how it goes health wise, as taking one day at a time now singing alleluia all the way
What were the protesters chanting?
And of course Charles checks his cufflinks soon after he is out of the car. That is a nervous habit that he continually does. You can set you clock by it. If he is SO worried about losing a cufflink, why doesn't he just where cuffs with buttons?
I don't know if it was just a rumor, but I had heard that they were given to him by Camilla.
What is Being chanted in the background?
Ira go away
Could someone throw me a rope. Thanks for 30k. You are the best!
What’s the yelling in the background about?
Princess Diana should have waited for Charles before greeting the Reagans. The marriage was really on the rocks at this point.
yes, I noticed that too, She looked uncomfortable, Like she really did'nt want to be there.
I noticed that Nancy kept trying to put her hand on Diana''s back/arm, but the Princess seemed aloof and put off by this gesture, I guess the Royals did'nt think the Reagans were worthy of physical contact !!, lol.
Oh I think you read way too much into things here. Diana was rather unsure of herself in those days, notice how she slouches when standing with the Reagan’s upon arrival earlier in day. Mrs. Reagan was an old hand at these diplomatic functions and her etiquette was always spot on. She did what was customary in those days. @dennis jones
They were all in it . The Pompous ways! The gween greeted the the president . That was story ! All by its self
I know she's wearing heels but damn Diana was almost as tall as Reagan.
@Steve Young, yes Diana was 5’11 in stocking feet, Kate is 5’10” in stocking feet
One Reagan, two Reagans. Apostrophes play no part in plurals. It's really not difficult.
😁 Grammar enthusiasts can always find each other in the comments. 🙋🏻♀️

What are the peoples shouting outside?
Ira go away
Diana sure didn't want to hold hands with Nancy or be touched by her!
someone must have taken footage of Diana dancing. what I wouldn't give to see it.
No @j v. Travolta himself said he wishes there had been but there were still photos ONLY. He was beyond excited that Princess Diana had requested a dance with him.
Rolls Royce silver shadow
In my opinion, the Reagan presidency was the Camelot years, not Kennedy.
👚💛💛💟💜
Please delete the apostrophe from "Reagan's" in the video title; it shouldn't be there.
The screams of I.r.a go away
You're mistaken about the protesters. They are pro-IRA protesters who oppose the British occupation of six counties in northern Ireland (which continues to this day). I believe they're chanting "IRA -- All the Way" which can be clearly heard when the couples are standing on the red carpet.
Formally, their titles and styles are _Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Princess of Wales_ . Her formal title was never "Princess Diana" because she is not a child of the monarch.
Daniel Jr Queen Elizabeth is the correct way to refer to our queen. Princess Diana was never correct.
@@brontewcat Daniel Jr was referring to the former Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon who held the title of "Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother" from 1952 to 2002 at the time of her death. _Queen Elizabeth_ by itself can be ambiguous since the name can be referred to any of the two regnant "Queen Elizabeth"s or the three consort "Queen Elizabeth"s throughout the entire history of the UK and England.
RaymondHng The poster said it was inaccurate to refer to the Queen as Queen Elizabeth. I was pointing out it is acceptable and accurate.
I take it you were not a massive fan of hers, were you?
@@brontewcat When the title _Queen Elizabeth_ can be referred to the current monarch or the former consort or even the Tudor queen, then it is ambiguous and, therefore, not accurate. A term can never be accurate if it is ambiguous.
Ronnie & Nancy holding hands. Chuckles & Di not despite being almost Newlyweds. Spells trouble for their future.
At this point, they had been married over four years. Apparently, the real breakdown began after the birth of Prince Harry (Sept. 1984) so at this point in Nov. 1985, the marriage was on the rocks, and it was showing.
Sounds like protesting 1:35. Sounds like "IRA go away ! " ?
I think it's "IRA -- All the Way!". The IRA hated the British royal family. In fact, just six years earlier, they had assassinated Lord Mountbatten in Ireland. He was a member of the royal family (his sister was Prince Phillip's mother), and he was very close to Prince Charles.
The BRF has never been as popular since and won’t be.
35years ago today
Oh the days when they made armed services women wear long skirts when at formal functions. How bizarre. I too remember when the royals came...it was so exciting.
per cui lo 🧚👼🛣️
They Said President Reagan Because Nancy ; His Career Has Been Changed 1967
What?
What are they yelling besides IRA?
こりゃ気も狂うわ
I don't see the purpose of this visit. Charles and Diana were not and still not a head of state.
Obviously there are many things you don't understand, Edna Kelly. Prince Charles has travelled extensively on behalf of his Mother, Queen Elizabeth. Several members of the Royal family do the same on a regular basis.
The RF was NEVER so exciting in many decades as when Diana joined the family. The Royals are huge celebrities and heads of state are not the only people accorded such lovely welcomes to the White House.
@@anacletwilliams8315 Of course, as do many important people travel extensively for other Heads of State too. The questioning was not inappropriate.
What are folks screaming ?
IRA
@@joecole4208 Thanks.
Feb 6, 2022: Oh my gosh! Yelling and chanting at a diplomatic function? (America always reveals her true colors at the appropriate time.)
I believe they were IRA (Irish Republican Party) activists.
Yes and my British countrymen always seek to find fault with anything America @Katryna McIntyre. It is unseemly to have one’s nose so far up in the air. It was a lovely and historic event.
old big ears Charles
Better than having a big mouth
Diannia Is Not As Nancy As Glory
In English please. We don't understand Mandarin.
Diana wasn't impressed with them. They were so old to her.
i mean... what did she expect, it was a political meeting not a fashion show. she seemed kinda uppity and snobby like most royals. not something americans have taken a liking too for about 350 years
@@Jklopoppcorn Nancy adored Diana.
@@wandaborowy9400 how do you know that? It seemed like she greeted her like everyone else who comes to the White House. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure she enjoyed being in her company, but most Americans have a trivial fascination with royalty because we don’t have any monarchs here, but that’s pretty much where it stops, we don’t have any deeply rooted respect for people just because they carry a title or where born into a certain family, Americans don’t bow or curtsy before royalty for a reason
@@Jklopoppcorn In book I read long time ago.
Princess Diana liked the Reagans very much. Mrs. Reagan attended her wedding.
Lets see: Charles - ugly, awkward and boring as usual. Well atleast he can speak a few foreign languages fluently (German).
Diana - looks like a tall lanky dude with an 80's George Michael hairdo.
Ronald McDonald Reagan - warm and charming
Nancy - actually quite attractive, charming and graceful.
The true heroes of the show were those protestors shouting "IRA all the way!"
love you di, sorry you had to meet reagan 🤢
