In this video I will talk through the foundations that I believe are the best for mature skin. I will explain why each foundation is so good for mature skin and the best way to use the foundations. I will also talk through the finish each foundation gives.

Good idea. I’ve tried so many and need some more recs.
Sometimes it's better to save up and get one or two of the high end foundations than buying every single drug store product that comes out. It's a common mistake I see a lot of younger girls do and I definitely did as well. Now I would rather have my high end that I don't use as much of in a single use and that I absolutely love using every single time.

@@lanaatkins3872 or buy an expensive one. Find your color range and then compare to what people are saying to what they are using in that color range and buy it in a dupe or less expensive foundation. If that makes sense, lol
Mature skin is almost always associated with seniors, which is also associated with fixed incomes, which is frequently associated with health issues, which can be associated with astronomical prescription drug prices. Need I say more? I don’t have $40 for a bottle of foundation, no matter how long it lasts. I can spend $15-$20 and then make it last- not use it everyday, etc. this aging process is not for the faint of heart…. I’ve never seen Nina’s channel. I’m usually getting tips from Milabu who does an excellent job of reviewing price points, reviewing dupes, etc.
Very, very good info for us mature ladies. I’m in my late 50’s and want to change foundations but still want the coverage I get with my Fenty Soft Matte. I actually have a sample of the Dior Glow so I’ll give it a try.
Maybe you can do a video for concealers for mature skin as well as powders? Sometimes I hate putting powder on because it takes away the glow or finish of the foundation.
The new Huda concealer is absolutely amazing. The Natosha Danona is equally amazing. I won't use anything else but I know alot of women in their 50's who swear by the Elf Camo or the Maybelline True Match

Thank you for doing one for mature skin. I have 2 of these Makeup forever HD and the last Dior you showed. I love them both. I am 61 and always use a damp sponge. Under eyes are a total different problem with like lines and darkness. I did get the Fenty yellow match stick and warm it up before using it. Love your videos!👏❤️

The Hourglass Ambient Glow is a gamechanger for me. It's one of those foundations I want to hoard so I'm never out of it.
I have mature skin and I’ve been looking for a foundation that makes my skin look healthy and hydrated so this video was very helpful I usually apply my foundation with a brush then I go over it with a damp sponge plus I do my foundation the way you thought me on the back of my hand and apply to my face in uniform loving that lesson and still practicing it ! Thank for this video it’s very helpful.

I agree. The Nars Light Reflecting foundation is a great option for mature skin. My mum is 59 this year and wanted a new foundation for the dry skin changes she’s noticing recently. I gave her one in Syracuse and the finish was natural and perfecting. My dad prefers her without makeup and didn’t even notice she was wearing it!! It really is amazing 😊
@@cocochanel00 that's so sweet about your dad! Yea that is a foundation that is overlooked. I think it may be because it came out when CT came out with her Beautiful Skin. For me personally the Nars one is so much better.😊
@@donnadesisto6225 That’s a good point… and it’s a shame really. The Beautiful Skin foundation is no match for the Light Reflecting. I bought the CT one first and thought I was in love with it until I tested the Nars one out. I wish I had tried the Nars one first because I could easily live without the CT Beutiful Skin foundation. It’s videos like Nina’s (and recommendations like yours ☺️) that will probably save me A LOT of money in the future!!! 🙂🙂🙂

This video is very needed I bought the Giorgio Armani after seeing one of your videos in the same shade that you use and it was spot on being in my early 60’s this foundation felt very silky even my husband even noticed the difference .Thank you always appreciate your videos 🥰
Thank you so much Nina, this is very helpful for a 75 year old who still loves to wear makeup. I have 2 of the makeups you recommend. My current favourite is the MUF as I have found my perfect shade. Sure I would like a little more coverage. The best thing about your recommendations are that they are readily available here in Australia. This means a lot as trying to choose shades on line & then the postage - a recipe for disappointment. Keep up the great work. Your makeup looks perfect.

I had to pause mid vid to tell you how friggin much this helped me! I'm 42 and noticing changes in my skin due to aging HOWEVER after binge watching your channel the last few days, I'm able to completely hide my so called "imperfections" to include hereditary eye bags! I can't believe it man. My main issue was not enough powder and concealer placement. "Underpainting" is how my mom taught me how to apply base back when I was a teenager! Been doing ever since and had no idea that is what it was called. I thought putting concealer on after foundation was just weird. I'm not crazy after all. Thank you Nina!!! Xoxoxo

Thank you. Great advice I will try. I use Double Wear Maximum coverage mixed with High Glass Skin Primer. It makes the make up Dewey even though it's full coverage. But after a few hours it looks cakey again.

Hands down, a must have and favorite of all time is the DIOR BACKSTAGE face and body foundation, used with the Tarte Timeless Smoothing Primer. HOURGLASS ambient soft glow foundation and GIORGIO ARMANI Luminous glow foundation are backups.

I’m officially in my fourties’ and all off your recommendations I 110% agree ,
This is great! When I was younger, I didnt have to do much foundation, maybe to conceal a breakout. Now I have sunspots, discoloration, and I need full coverage more often, and powder to absorb the grease. I keep several shades because I will get 5 shades darker in the summer. High blood pressure medication means I only need to be in the sun maybe 20 minutes instead of all day to get dark! And that's it, time for sunscreen foundation! Seems like I have to go back and buff it out of the wrinkles.
And lipstick, lips fade into the background without it.

Brilliant video! Some great suggestions and at 50 I’m beginning to need to consider what I’m using more on my face. Would love ve to see a video about colour correcting crepey under eyes. My skin in general is not too bad for 50 but I just can’t seem to colour correct without making my under eyes look creepy. 🤩🙏🏽🇦🇺

Armani Luminous silk is an absolute holy grail foundation for me, I will forever repurchase. I've probably tried a hundred different foundations and nothing even comes close.

Back with an update! Love love love the Dior Forever Matte! Not only long lasting but I was able to find the most perfect color match...I think ever! 🤔 And on my mature skin, it looks fantastic. So I will be investing in a bottle. Thank you for the suggestions. 😉❤

I think it would be great if u could do a before and after video of you using proper tools and not using proper tools such as blending brushes and sponges. Wetting sponges and not wetting sponges. Primer verses no primer etc....I would love to see real time differences. Love u❤️❤️❤️❤️
Now that I am in my 40's I feel like the heavier foundations like Estee Lauder DW and Mac Studio Fix which have been my fave for years,feel a little heavy on my skin now.I really want to try the Dior face and body foundation so bad,just cant decide on a shade,so nervous I order the wrong shade.Loved your pics Nina!

Thanks for this video! I’m a little bummed that you didn’t mention Pat McGrath’s foundation. It’s wonderful on my mature skin. It’s medium coverage and very skin like. You can sheer it out as much as you want and build it up. What are your thoughts about it?

Really like this video since I'm in my 50's and always wonder what foundation would work for me. Can you also do one but with drugstore foundation? Concealers are also a bit of a problem for me since I don't want too much of a brightening effect under the eyes and I need something to hide my undereye shadow. This was really good. I'm 50 and I don't have a lot of lines, but my skin is dry - it looks super dry when I wear foundation. Very good advice in terms of the order. I'd been underpainting (or trying to) and now I get why it looks so cakey, heavy, and dry. Thanks for the tips and recommendations!

My daughter is a makeup addict, lol, and ordered a foundation that was too dark for her; it was an expensive "designer" makeup, and I tried it. It made all the lines under and around my eyes, without concealer, and decreased the jowl lines. I can't say the name because that would be advertising, but it's a round bottle and a large silver dome top.

I was hoping you could please share with me the most lightweight natural coverage one from Dior. Is it the Dior backstage one? Also, I recently found out Dior is gluten free ( I have gluten allergy). Hi Nina, Thanks for this,it's really helped me..I have an issue with any foundation I use and that is that,on right side of my face..on the hollow below my cheek bone.. I have a large cluster of open pores..I know, really weird..but no matter what I do the pores are even more noticeable with foundation on.
I've tried so many different types of foundation, power & liquid and most are high end.Its got to the point I stopped wearing it.

I am extremely dehydrated. I take medication due to permanent damage from stage 4 cancer. Any suggestions for skincare and makeup? I cleanse, put serums, moisturizers nothing seems to help. It feels like it's shrinking and tight. Please help if you have skincare recommendations that could help.

Hello - I am new to your channel and I have mature skin but with a lot of hyperpigmentation. I have seen some of your videos regarding skincare and really enjoyed them.
Can you let me know what skincare would work for a gal like me that has hyperpigmentaion and ends up applying too much foundation to cover it?

I do that method where I go back and forth. Because I always intend to do a light makeup and it always ends up like a full makeup. So I start with a basic eye. Then I do base and under eye concealer only, then i go back to finish eyes. Then reassess my base. If I think I need a little more coverage, I use the GLOSSIER Stretch Concealer due to its thin sheer skinlike finish. I let it sit for a couple minutes, then pat in. If I still have discoloration peeking through, I just leave it. I realize that it's more noticeable to me than anyone else.
