I knew as soon as I heard Trump's story about Meatball Ron with "tears in his eyes" begging for Trump's endorsement that this was a gift for Seth from the gods of comedy.
Ron can be a bit of a Drama Queen, himself... I can imagine that it was quite a little passion play.

I think t-Rump has a combo of horrible cologne & the fast-food sweats, and it makes everyone around him have their eyes water. So he thinks people are emotional, but really he just smells so bad their bodies are begging them to run away from him.

I've loved this show since long before the pandemic, but no joke... Seth feels so comfortable with the new feel the show has taken on, and it's just never been better.
He got rid of the stuff suit, he realized we just wanted him and not the clothes! I’ve been hooked with Seth since his snl days!
Same here. I’ve been watching from the beginning and he’s really come into his own these last few years. He’s said that he felt like he connected more with his audience during the covid era than he had in the years previous. I loved how weird it got with the moths in the attic and the sea captain and the mutating copy of The Thornbirds. I was so happy that when they got back to the studio that he continued to lean in to the weirdness and in-jokes and never looked back. And of course, I look forward to Corrections every Friday. Right now the show is like when Letterman and Conan were at their most brilliant.

With everything going on with all the crazy bullshit with the GQP, Seth is always there to keep us sane.
At the end of last week I felt a bit dejected and hopeless. I truly believe now it was because Seth was on a break.
