I love green tea but a lot of claims are very exaggerated, and a sign of something having improvements is not 'proof'. You can read more here.

How the fuck did you teach me so much about tea while also telling an intricate story about relationships holy shit this is amazing
Holy shit this was a ride
Let me get this straight: You comment something that is unrelated to the fact that I have two HEAVENLY HANDSOME girlfriends? Considering that I am the unprettiest CZcamsr ever, having two handsome girlfriends is really incredible. Yet you did not mention that at all. I am quite disappointed, dear cae

Oh my god I thought this would be some funny wacky April first video but its actually a fantastic and touching metaphor like the rest of your channels videos. Also its a great guide to tea, would recommend.

The April fools is that the video isn’t wacky.
One of the ways my husband told me he loved me was trough tea. He knew I loved it, he didn't know much but he bought me a high quality teapot, everytime he was out and found an interesting tea he thought I might like he bought it for me, brew me a cup when I was sick, upset or sad and he kept a growing collection of cute mugs. What a lovely love language ❤️
"Everything is about tea. Except for tea. Tea is about love."
Thank you for this great video Mattias. You never cease to amaze with your content
this by far is my favorite thing you've made. the awkward horrific comedy of every awkward pause. the weird indie horror look of the main character. and the strange wholesome message at the end. it means alot, thanks man
1:37 😂
stfu he is not indie horror he is a sweetheart and hes trying his best and hes being very brave about it
the acting in this is absolutely immaculate, I can feel the slow but ever creeping gloom and resentment rising from your character as they not only teach us all about tea, but goes into their own life, taking pauses to reflect, having slight cracks and less enthusiastic tones in their voice to convey this. its like they're aware they're talking to a camera and trying to put on a good face for us all but slowly loses the will to do so. this is storytelling at its finest, and my god do I respect it, keep at it my good man.
Edit: Watching the end really made me feel whole within this story, it was such a sweet ending of the reuniting of love as he picks himself back up and rekindles his love not only for tea but his girlfriend. absolutely amazing.
I dont think he was acting he said what he had to say and animated it
*AS A BRITISH PERSON* this was just a documentary on Tea - I have no idea why people were talking about the "relationships" aspect of it, it was all just tea for me...
Ikr the writing is so packed with these nuances and subtext it’s amazing
You didn't even finish watching the video before leaving the comment? Attention spans really are crashing..
there's something so captivatingly beautiful of the way you do your storytelling, under the guise of something else, but not in a deceptive way, it makes metaphors and allusions so much more impactful and funner to think about.
along with the way of speaking and writing being surprisingly genuine and human feeling, so many writers and speakers fall into the trap of writing like... some academic and way too uptight book, but I feel like the best way to convey any sort of emotion is with this style of speaking and writing that manages to be both deadpan and completely full of emotion and understandable feelings, it's great.
I love the awkward pauses where a bit of emption slips thru
My mom and younger sister are both obsessed with tea; they'll drink it almost every night, and spend loads of money on new, different varieties to try. I'm personally not a fan of tea, like at all. I kinda like the smell of some types, but to my pallet, it just tastes like water with a bit of leaves in it, which is essentiallyall that tea is. Despite this, I'll still occasionally have a glass with them, as I can at least understand why they like it so much, and am still able to appreciate it to some degree with them.

I've never liked tea. I've always found it bland and boring. However there was one time an older lady from my former church had invited me in for tea and to chat. We had a wonderful time catching up, and the tea she made was actually very good. That was the last time I saw her. Soon afterwards she became ill and passed away.
Have you ever like, trying to make a tea that taste as good as her tea?

I agree with what other people have said about how touching and subtle this is but I also want to say that I love the character designs. The clothes and profiles are just really cool. Also, the narrator's sunken eyes and wide smile gives you a bit of apprehension, but it's not clear if they're just tired or hiding something else. It was excellent foreshadowing because it was so understated and something that you could have seen practically anywhere. It reminds me a little bit of what I look like when I don't sleep well because of my insomnia, even.
Man I love this video. I’ve watched it so many times I even showed my mom (who is an avid tea drinker) and she liked it and agreed with you.
Thank you so much, and say hi to mom!
This guy gave me some creeps at first. But after some time he got me invested. And now, I've learned something new, something beautiful
And it's all in learning how to make a good cup of tea

One of the things I love most about this channel is that how it makes a video, that teaches a great deal about life without it directly saying so,and you could tell it's coming from personal experience combined with creative humor which makes it absurdly great.
I mean, who am I to tell, but if this isn't the most brilliant subtweet ever,I don't know what is.
I think you meant subtext?
"This tea is nothing but hot leaf juice!"
"That's what _all_ tea is, Uncle."
"How could a member of my own family say something so horrible?"
i could practically hear iroh and zuko say these lines lol
“Delicious Tea? Or, Deadly Poison?”

Genuinely one of the most cinematically beautiful videos I've ever seen. It's not at all subtle yet it's completely unexpected the way you used tea as a framing device--or I, at least, did not expect it. I loved it. Thank you for creating a product which I love. It made me get up and make myself a cup of tea and throw some leaves into a bottle to invest in cold brew for the morning; my cup is seeping as I finished the video and typed this. You made me realise some of my favourite teas are not high quality but that's okay, I trust you. I hope you find something you love, Mattias.
Green tea ice cream is great. Also the main character looks like he came directly from a horror video game.
Another really similar type that is really nice is mint ice cream. If you can find the good kind at least and not the one that tastes like bland mint gum
@@MossyMoht just wanna remind you that you aren't alone. Mint ice cream is supreme (especially mint chocolate chip)

I want an entire series of this little bug dude getting real with us through with how to’. Also I’m gaslighting myself trying to work out if I just heard cold peach & mango tea used as a metaphor for morning sex. I just binged a heap of your work and what I love is that you trust the audience to take the story & underlying message that _they_ hear. Every video there’s comments where it seems everyone has perceived it differently, but they still all reach the same end-point: they love it, and it held meaning for them. It affected them.
That’s truly a gift. Real art.

I have been watching this over and over since it came out and I just cannot get over how well written your work is. Love all of the stuff on your channel and this is so far my favorite. Can't wait for more amazing videos, thank you.
You have the perfect, most relaxing voice, Matthias. You could talk about the history of the ketchup bottle in the most mundane and inaccurate fashion and I would be immediately soothed.
I would listen to that and be genuinely interested

This is really helpful. When I was a 'tea beginner', I failed several times to find actual good tea at the store. I tried many flavored ones and miserably failed sometimes. Thanks for making such a good video with interesting stories.
Honestly, this resonated with me a lot especially given all the hurt and resentment felt, all the character trying desperately to enjoy something for themselves but also because their special someone likes it. It reminded me in a way of past relationships and the hurt i felt through being put down or made to be lesser, struggling to just enjoy something simple without having to feel lectured or inferior. Idk i know this is a bit too deep and personal but it hit a soft spot, good job dude

This video was oddly unsettling and calming at the same time
You shouldn’t use those small tea strainers, they don’t allow the leaves room to expand properly so you won’t get as much flavor and aroma. It’s better to use a large strainer (like think the kind used in those infuser mugs) or brew in a pot and use a small strainer to filter out the leaves when you pour.
in the pot tea does have the note of dependent on time, if itsa group and its removed from the pot relatively quickly then theres not the over brewing risk that it can have.
Thats one of the most inspiring and clever short videos ive ever seen. thank you.
I just stumbled across this video but I wanted to say that this is now one of my favorite CZcams videos I've ever seen. I love the animation style you did here. Great job!👍
Wow this was a very fun emotional ride that ended up actually being wholesome. I love your voice in all your videos because it is just perfect at going from calming to angry and back again in a matter of seconds seamlessly.

Obligatory "same here" echo on a surprising number of the specific things you listed
Some things have a very short shelf life when it comes to attention, but a select few may linger a long time. Might even be cyclical. Something holds your interest a while, then fades, but eventually revives itself. And in some cases, later on returning to an old interest can be almost like seeing it new again.
In any case, don't feel bad for tiring of things you once loved or for wanting something new. They made you happy for a time, that's the important part. Onward to the next passion!
This is normal, people just don't like describing their hobbies as passing interests so it's not discussed much. Not a sign of ADHD, and it would be far more unusual if you picked 3-5 interests and only focused on them your whole life.

you can do better than this. TEAched is not a word and it's ok if that's a part of the pun but if you couldn't find a good word here's a different pun you could have used "I'm glad to have such a great TEAcher, I can already feel the sTEAm on my glasses" or "Thank you for TEAching me about this topic, I can already feel the sTEAm on my glasses" and you might think I don't know a lot about puns and that shouldn't be making such a big deal out of this but I thought I could be of help too and you're saying that I'm being egotistical because you think I just wanted to say that so that I could feel BETTER than you but I'm not. Mattias just hasn't unlearned the snobbery lies yet (I'm a tea snob, I've heard them all).
Just trust your nose and your taste buds; you'll learn to tell the difference in your own time. And there's nothing wrong with liking cheap tea, if that's what your taste buds want! Or your budget.
Snobbery is a bit of a theme in the video, you should just drink what you like
this video feels like overhearing my parents fighting downstairs, so thanks i guess
the animation and simply everything else is terrific!
Oh my God this video hurts. It's great! I made it to the end! But I really didn't think I would. It is uncomfortably good at projecting the pain of feeling judged by somebody you care about.
So this video has two themes, "relationships" clearly, with this creature and his ex. and it keeps going back to this "its not good tea" thing, this sort of weird way people have high standards for things when it doesnt really matter. Which makes me wonder are the teas allegorical for relationships? The "you deserve better" line makes me think so, along the lines of "if youre drinking tea hoping this will solve all your problems tea is not going to help" but what is it saying specifically?
You are walking an exquisitely fine line man, well done, thank you!
Okay, I was genuinely looking for actual tea advice but this is better than what I was actually looking for! So, thanks!
I am so glad that you, your's channel, your's art and your's videos are exist because it's such a light (light like from sun, not like light as a feather) and humane experience. It's takes to the deep of human soul, shows it's, reflects and gives some answers, some points. It's such a meaningful and cryingly cathartic experience.
It's such beautiful art where you can't add anything and you can't cut off something. It's just as much as it needed. It's really is a mastery, like some paintings, or music, or books and etc.
Only one word comes to mind, and this word rather is too banal and became in our time too pompous. But for me this word is accumulating mastery/hard work, talent and understanding of what you do to extent when what you produce can give really meaningful experience not only for mind but for feelings. Word is "Genius". I find you a genius. Your art (videos as a whole) give me a feeling like art of Renaissance masters that gives off bright and gentle light and kind humane compassion feeling.
Your art to the core such a humanistic act, I see something like that really rare and I say it again - I am glad that you and your work is existing. You give such strength and hope for my heart and mind.
Thank you.
