I'm Andy Behbakht, entertainment journalist and content creator with a big mouth. 2021 has...just taken me in some weird directions so I'm very sorry for the lack of content throughout the year. But as I'm pushing myself to try new things and wanting to experiment with my content creating online, I've been working on a video essay/collab with my good friend@siikedonnelly as we get into this odd situation with Diggle's Green Lantern storyline in the Arrowverse, especially this season.
I'm 100% fully aware that my editing skills are...well, not great. I'm also 100% aware that I'm probably doing things you're not used to with other CZcamsrs, which is fine because...I'm definitely still a noob at this. My theory is the ring is in a box bc it’s a gift from Ollie as he created everything in Crisis. And he’ll be the first or only Green Lantern of that Earth. New origin using Dig as the original and deriving the name from Green Arrow.
Ohhh, I like this a lot! I would actually prefer that, because it is also a very Arrowverse-y thing to do by using the comics, but also find their own spin on it.
@@AndyBehbakht haha right? And it keeps them safe from all those pesky rules about what HBO max or CW or movies are allowed to do with the characters and rights.

Here's my question about the Power Ring arriving in a box. Is it out of the possibility that the Power Ring came in a Mother Box involving Metron, New Genesis, and Highfather. That's just where my idea is at.
I love Metron, but don't know see how he or any Gods could or would send out a GL ring. They have no real connection to the origins of that lore. I know the Godhead stoey tried to make some connections, but it would change too much of the foundation of where the rings come from and why to really work. I AM for that level of change, so I like where your mind went, but I dont see the show doing that. If they were gonna go out of their way to explain a New Gods backstory to it, why not just do the actual story with the Guardians? Again, a story could be created, but its a lot of work for a payoff that doesn't make a ton of sense to me. But still, I'm a HUGE Metron fan so I kinda like your idea. :) thanks for listening and commenting
@@siikedonnelly Like the idea honestly spun out of the idea that this ring was meant for the planet of Mogo but it landed on Earth instead. Because if the Guardians and Oa are too taboo for the Arrowverse to even touch. That's where my idea is that Gaurdians did send it out but Metron and the New God's are hunting for it. Like the Guardians are still involved its just stupid Corporate interference that I honestly don't know. As we also know that much of the Arrowverse was built on the back of New 52 stories with Some recently notably Flash going into Rebirth stories. As it's a New 52 story where Mogo became the hq of The Lantern Corp with John Stewart as it's leader. (Its after the Lights Out Crossover event in New 52)
If it doesn't happen, it's because Warner didn't let them use the character. That's it.
