New autoimmune treatments

Recent immunotherapy findings are pointing towards more targeted treatments for conditions like psoriasis, vitiligo and alopecia. Autoimmune conditions like these were previously treated without knowledge of the body’s two distinct T cell types.
Now with this knowledge under their belt, University of Melbourne senior research officer Dr Susan Christo says experts can create future treatments to be more effective.
