- The all new Bonafide PWR129 fishing kayak has me so excited. Here are a few things that didn't fit onto the Walkthrough video I filmed for Bonafide Kayaks.

Looks like a heck of a kayak!
I seen you in Atlanta today with two kayaks! I waved as you turned off of logans circle!
Looks like a smart piece of kit, hope you enjoy it Gene 👍👍👍.
Nigel (Chicago)
Hope to see ya at some hobie bos or bass master kayak series
Can't wait.
I noticed you guys drilled a hole for the motor pulley. Hans mentioned not needing to drill any holes, will that be something that’s rectified?
Also, of the “rod holder” on the back of the seat would be a great spot for YOLOTek PowerStick
Looks nice and that price is pretty damn legit.
Good stuff ! Is that camo paint or actual color of the plastic, probably a stupid question?
Do you think it's feasible to run a stern and bow motor? I was thinking of adding the bow motor for the spot lock feature and keeping the stern motor for travel to spots.
It wasn’t designed to run two motors but I’m sure it can do it.
Looks awesome! How about the Leverage Landing Net or any net. Is there a specific place designed for the net storage in this boat?
Nope. Everyone puts it in different places
Hey Jean, does the lid for the power fit the SS 127?
Ok thank you
I’m wanting to get back in kayak fishing. I see that you and Chad Hoover both use a motor on your kayaks. My question is would you get a pedal or paddle kayak if you were not or don’t plan to add a motor? I’m looking for two kayaks for my son and myself to fish lakes near me in Columbus GA. Prefer stability and comfort and something easy to paddle. Any insight or comments on what you think is a good call around paddle kayak? I’m considering demoing a Bonafide SS127 and RVR119. I mainly fish lakes like Eufala, West Point, and Harding/Oliver.
Peddle
Hey bud , what switch panel is that you are using ? Looks pretty trick!!!
It’s a switch panel made by Auxbeam.
Hows the stability compared to the SS127? Stoked to get mine next month!
Very noticeably better
If you install the back motor NK300 , do you still foot control with a rudder? Let say I have NK300 in the back and MG up front, how do I foot control in this case?
If you install a stern motor all you need to do is disconnect the steering cables from the rudder and connect them to the motor and you are ready to go. Then just stow the rudder because your motor will be your rudder.
Nice kayak I am looking to get a kayak but can't afford a high dollar kayak which one would suggest
The first one just need to be one that you can afford and one that you've tried out. Be friendly to other kayakers in your area and they will let you try them or check at your local paddleshop.
What if you run a 24v motor. one frt and other back. Waiting for mine to come in!!!!! What is set height floor to frt. of set? Thank you! Dealing with health get up to stand why asking. Have a 127 so hope a little taller.
It’s a little taller. Maybe an inch or two. I’m waiting on the production boat to measure due to possible changes
Do you know if they will have a peddle-drive system for it even though it is meant to be motorized?
What kind of kayak trailer is that?
It's an On The Water Innovations trailer
Yeah. I like to know also!
Sorry Gene, BUT GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wish they would make this in a 40-42 inch wide version I would be first in line.
If you make it that wide it will slow it way down. This kayak is stable by design. Because of the Tri-hull design it is as stable as a 40+ inch kayak without the drag from a kayak that wide.
@@GeneJensen what does it run with the xi3 currently. My nucanoe unlimited does 4.5-4.8 loaded to the gills now. I like the unlimited but the Native/Bonafide plastic is 2nd to none and the nucanoe has left a little to be desired in the quest to save weight. Also does your GLS-10 box for your livescope have any heat issues in the apache box? Looking at options to make mine a stand alone deal as you have to travel.
Ok.... Real world top speed with the Xi3 motor?
6mph
But I’m the damned paterfamilias.
Nice review.
This boat has an ok price (at best) but over all this boat is a fail and a waste of money.
No swivel seat =huge fail.
No PDL = huge fail.
Native Titan X is THE best fishing kayak, hands down, no contest, case closed.
Yes, it's too expensive.
Yes, it's very heavy.
So is every other fishing kayak, might as well have all the best features and designed for literally everything you could ever want/need.
The titan X costs twice as much as this kayak and also weighs almost twice as much. They are targeting different market segments. If you are in the market for a pedal + powered kayak you shouldn't be looking at this one so that point of comparison doesn't make any sense.
Idk man, this has built in rudder system and foot steering stock. Look at Nucanoe and you can immediately see the value in this rig. Attached a mirror and a battery and go. I love this platform.
