Thank You so much, I went out and checked My system and found My shitty pool builder had wired it up to 12 volts. I switched it over to 14 volts and it was a simple fix. I really do thank You for helping out Us DIY people at home. Your CZcams channel is very helpful and enjoyable to watch.
The video was very well done. I have a question. My pool remodel and therefore my pool lights are about 15 years old. I have the handy system with a hand held remote controller. The lights were 110 volts. The lights were the larger Hayward Colot Logics. 2 of the the three (the one in the spa and one of the two in the pool) stopped working and were shorting out and triggering the GFI. My pool man replace all of the lights last week with 110 v Pentair Intelebights. The don’t perform with the descriptions on the hand held. Questions: should he have used low voltage instead of 110v and can he program the lights to follow the old descriptions without the latest controls? Thanks.
I have a Pentair EasyTouch system, Intermatic PX300 and I cannot sync my lights. When I use the ScreenLogic app as you recommended, the lights automatically turn on when I select a color. In your video, you select the color and then hit the on/off. Mine turns them on when color or scene is selected. Any ideas?
I have 2 globrite lights and the new ColorSync controller that won’t sync. I replaced the controller thinking it was messed up. The new controller still has the 2 lights out of sync. How do I sync them up?
The light is probably going out. I just went through that and had mine replaced. Started with one looking yellowish when it should be white, then eventually quit working. By then another started looking yellowish as well. When I put some goggles on and went down to look at them closer it was obvious the lights had water droplets inside of them. Pentair service came out and looked at them and determined they were in fact bad. They were 12v Microbrite models.
Why can’t I change each light individually? You pay all this money for a pool and they install lights that give you 6 colors. Hell I can buy a light bulb that can do 25k different colors for 50 bucks. I wish Philips hue would make pool lights.
Very informative. Merci !

What is the clicking????
I would like to know that
That is the sound of relays
Yeah, he explained everything else so well but started without explaining/showing what he started with.
7:39 "stranded will carry more amps than a solid wire will"
No, sir, this is false.
Agreed. Amps are amps. Solid or stranded, still the same amperage rating. Stranded wire is more flexible for conduit runs.

Because Pentair. That's why. $400 for $4 of parts + cost of a ~100ft wire. Total rip-off. I'm designing my own.
