You guys seriously don't think that MvCi and Capcom got enough shittlaking already?
You are completely killing any chance left for the future of this series. Most people won't be excited for a potential new MvC because you successfully persuaded everyone that "it would be shit anyway". I mean it's not the first time Capcom (or any company) made a lackluster sequel, before resuming to make great sequels (like in the case of DMC or RE), but the "fanbase" not being this extremely insulting towards the devs and to the reputation of the future of the series definitely helped in getting themselves together.
Criticism and some "punishing talk" can be constructive, but you are going way overboard with these reactions to some 7.5/10 game that probably just lacked a proper budget.
I'm so glad you posted this. This makes me remember why I love the Marvel vs Capcom series. It was a celebration of both Capcom and Marvel. It reminded me how much heart was put into the previous games in the series.

@@carlbloke8797 I know I'm a little late with this but you are so right.i grew up in the 90s hardcore marvel fan and to see the characters I grew up with drawn in anime when anime was getting big in the us it just seemed natural for marvel characters to be drawn in anime.capcom and Disney need to get back to the basics and realize why one of the reasons the mcu is so big is because the marvel vs capcom.people that wasn't into comics that played this game went on to invest into captain America iron Man X-Men people that wasn't into fighting games but into comics made them want to play some street fighter and looking at mvci it was just disrespect.but I can only wish.
Meanwhile MVCI is just like “well Marvel movies are nice!”

I really like that beastman guy with the metal claws and yellow outfit. Seems the people drawing him like him too since he's a big part of almost every piece of artwork.

I had a dream that at E3 Capcom announced a Street Fighter V Arcade edition style upgrade for MVCI called"Rise of the X-Men" that includes all of the previous dlc along with 12 new capcom characters in 10 new Marvel characters(7 of them being X-Men).

I absolutely love, love, love Bengus' artworks and his style. I still don't understand what happened in SFV, or why CAPCOM even approved it... I just hope that it's to do with time constraint and such, and not that Bengus has lost his touch or being affected from an injury or something.

Nirat Wootipoom From what I've heard, the art in SFV is speed drawn. So it's probably a mix between time constraints and the artist not being very good at this particular style of art.

I own the SF 25th Anniversary book... even got it signed by Akiman. Having access to those digital files is much better than having to go through a book though.

Tbh, graphics was bad and music was just hit or miss. Also, it had very bad UI. But, everything else was on super high level.

MvC is what created my interest in art. I went to my local swap meat and someone was selling marvel super heroes vs street fighter for the ps1 and I was able to buy it off for $10. And holy shit. The intro, the art, the game. It also made my love for fighting games grow.

This is for those who despise 2D fighting games with anime/comic style. For me these ones look much better than fighting games with characters done with 3D graphics.

In Retrospect, in the 21st Century, the *most valuable asset* in terms of Video Game development is *TIME....* Could you imagine what Marvel vs Capcom Infinite (or even MvC3 Vanilla/UMvC3) could've been like if given more development time and an actual Budget? It honestly boggles my goddamn mind that a *HUGE Intellectual Property* like Marvel (that generates BILLIONS of Dollars per year) can't even be bothered to lend even a Fraction of that to other silos of their Business Model (just look at the newer Marvel Cartoons animation and get back with me...).
Voltan MvC3 has pratically the most development time of any mvc game with mostly new assets and art style. The level of detail mvc3 vanilla and ultimate have are a testament to how much time was given and the massive budget that was placed. It wasnt AAA game budget but it was still large considering a fighting game of its time, especially since they couldnt get any assets from the older games, which is rare in the series.
But other than that i agree with what you are saying.

Carl Bloke Nah. I think it was good and actually fit him. It was more a matter of getting used to it since it was different than most of his previous voices. You are free to dislike it though.
I agree, his voice is pretty good once you get used to it. Everyone gives him sh*t, but it's better than his depiction in Spider-Man 3.

That's what I've been saying. Disney got Fox (or however it works) now, so no reason to re-re-release MVC 2 (maybe even with MVC Origins for 3-pack) on current consoles and Steam. Unless they're waiting for the next console generation, I guess.
Unlike Infinite, 2 made them money and it's already HD-fied, so they don't gotta do much.

A good point made, about what was wrong with MVCI, was that it "wasn't a celebration anymore". If they knew they were gonna have a neutered MVC, I think they should've just made "Capcom Fighters". Do everything they were going to do, but just use Capcom characters. Have fun with it and go wild. That would've been neat and they wouldn't have been hamstrung by a lackluster Marvel selection.

And for the "same artist" question, yes. Almost 90% of the in-game artworks and promotional art in XvSF, MsHvSF, MvC1 and MvC2 was made by Bengus/CRMK.

I didn't really had a hard time finding these at my local Publix supermarket earlier today and i got to try them out for the very 1st time.
They're....not that bad, it definitely is going to take some getting use to when it comes to its taste (lol that Cheese Pizza taste hangs around inside my mouth for quite awhile). Hopefully, I'll grow to really loving these Cheez-Its in due time. Wish me luck Max and thanks for mentioning them during that Mario Party 4 Yovideogames stream man. This gallery, to me, feels like something of a testament to the amount of love put into MvC3.
Infinite doesn't even have concept art for all of the characters in the game.
I legit got a little misty eyed while looking at some of the older artwork.
God I miss this era of capcom from the mid 90s to early 2000s, there was this certain type of magic in those games that can never be replicated today.
