Hi I am currently working as a Resident in Pediatrics in a renowned hospital in Karachi Pakistan and I want to prepare for my IMM and I want to give MRCPH part 1 as well. I have prior one year experience as an RMO in pediatrics. Plz guide me how can I prepare for both IMM and MRCPCH part 1

@@mostafaal-amin1049 Preparing for TAS is so tricky as the questions seem like they have no boundaries haha. Don't wanna mislead, Need to be totally clear before suggesting you guys 💜
hi! first things first...thank you for all your suggestions and prompts. Do you think that 5/6 months studying while working are enough? Or 5/6 months full time studying is the minimum?
If you're applying for both Fop and TAS then 5/6months should be enough. Even while working. Considering you take atleast 6/7days for each system+ revision =5/6months for intense hardwork and you're good to go. And if only for FOP, I would say 3months are more than enough. Goodluck💜
Thank you so much for this video. You really explained very well. Kindly can you please guide how to study pediatric guidelines. Like I find it difficult to memorize.
Paediatric guidelines is difficult to expain in one video. Because you don't need to study all the topics and u don't particularly need to study everything in a topic. It's very specific. I'll have to give a demo system wise if I want to suggest that which is not possible right now. Very sorry. But go through recalls u ll get an idea hopefully.
@@MRCPCHforbeginners thank you so much Dr Fatima for your reply☺️ Like you said k you have to do management for acute asthma and acute severe asthma in respiratory... likewise I wanted to ask can you please tell what other topics to do from guidelines.
@@marriamsaleem1263 okay in every system there are some guidelines and there are particular topics. And then not everything in those topics need to be studied because it's FOP. It's difficult to chart them all here, needs to be done system wise.
@@MRCPCHforbeginners ohk .. Do you knkw if there is a great difference between the content of Illustrated text of Paeds 4th edition and 5 edition .. I have 4th edition hard copy but know I see that there is it’s fifth edition
@@syedasafoorahfatima2414 I don't have any idea actually. I have been studying 5th edition since last year. Now they got 6th edition bt don't bother. Most of the things will be same, if there are minute changes you can discuss those parts with your friends later.
Can you please suggest how much paediatric experience is beneficial/preferable before sitting for FOP/TAS for someone with no prior paediatric experience at all?
For 1st part u don't need experience. It's not a pre-requisite by royal college. You can apply after internship. But for your own clinical knowledge u can do training . It ll help you definitely.
Walaikumassalam. For most systems I made a separate notebook actually. Only a few topics I decided to study from the book by sticking extra notes, which again I am thinking of copying in the notebook. Do whatever you find more suitable to you. If you're comfortable with reading from book, read from the book.
Hi thanks for making this video..I am.planning to give mrcpch part 1 in June...I only want to appear in 1 part either FOP or TAS..wat do u think I should go for first...FOP or TAS..I mean which one.should.be given 1st...thanks in advance
@sneha shiny I shared all the study materials in my telegram channel. Check the video where I shared the study materials. The books n everything and offcourse u can see the cover picture there
Assalam alaikum. Thnx for the guidance. But can u share the books with their authors' name? Plus can u share ur study plan like how much times a day, total duration and mainly where to start?
These are the books you must follow for FOP only. I have mentioned here illustrated textbook, Sop, clinical Cases fop and pastest. You need guidelines only for few topics so these should be enough for primary prep. After studying these you can go for recalls. I have just shared my opinion, you're free to follow whatever suits you dear.
The preparation is very individual depending on your own residual knowledge. 5months I would study only for FOP if you're a fresher. Don't go for both exams after studying 5months. You ll complete the portions in 5months, however I think give yourself time to process n relate to the topics more. Study atleast 4hrs! If you're aiming for 5months.
Hello Dr. Fatima, thankyou for your informative and helpful video. I wanted to ask how did you get hold of pastest account? Do you have to be a UK citizen for that? Can u guide us through the process too
Hi Dr. No pastest is simply an online subscription that you can buy. Nothing to do with citizenship. Although I don't suggest reading pastest for the MRCPCH exam now.

@@DrFe-zn2rv Thank you so much for your appreciation I am not sure if pastest provides mock now. But I don't encourage anyone to go for pastest now.
