🐆 CLOUDED LEOPARD ─ Saber-Tooth Cats Still Exist ! 🐆

- Saber-toothed cats were typically larger and stronger than modern felines, with a bear-like physique. They were known for their specialized hunting skills and were great predators who could bring down large animals. Their last representatives became extinct about ten thousand years ago, the reason for which was the decline in the number of their main prey, large and relatively clumsy mammals, such as prehistoric bison and mammoths. Nevertheless, at present, there is still a species of cat, in many features of their structure and behavior, similar to the extinct saber-toothed, and is the Beast of today’s video.

Please do some cryptids 😁
Let's stick to Real Animals for now 😄
Here in my native village midnorth east Borneo island They're two types pattern colour of this cloud leopard the dark yellowish n deep greyish in colour and they co-exist together n we often spot them in certain area in our rain forest jungle closed to our place n neighbouring villages usually they're not danger or threatening to us n we regard it as our jungle guardian n we opposed to kill or hunt it ☮️
How does it feel to live in paradise
When I was in Danum my guide related the only time he's ever seen one. In broad daylight, hunting macaques down on the river bank. And that day, he (my guide) forgot to bring his video camera along.
The animal is sacred.
@@fretwezel8138 It's quite wet and muggy most of the time I'd say.
Do they interbreed?
People overuse the word awesome, but the clouded leopard really is an awesome cat. One is struck with awe at it's exotic beauty and dangerous array of weapons and specialized physical attributes.

What absolutely perfect camouflage! They are just stunning.
Yes. Stripes, Spots and Rosettes.
Fun fact:
There's another feline species living in the same area as the Clouded Leopard, the Marbled Cat. It looks basically identical but only weighs up to 5 kilogram and is about the size of a normal house cat.
They have such an earnest look on their face. The coat patterns are amazing. These are the first things that strike me when I see the cat, not their long canines.
The best looking cats on the planet.
🤫
I think those canines are "pouched" like sabre cats of old.
Their cubs are so cute. Even as adults are so cute.
I was surprised how easy it is to play with the clouded leopard.
I hope we can protect the clouded leopards that are left 🙏 😢 😔 😞
For saber-tooth cats, they were hunting animals with thick woolly coats as well, so they probably needed long fangs to penetrate both the fur and the thick skin.
YOU ARE AWARE THAT THE TEETH OF THE SMILODON ARE OTHER SABRETOOTH CATS EASILY BROKE RIGHT 🙂💯🤙🏻😉GIVEN THAT FACT AND HOW MANY ARE FOUND IN THE TARPITS ACTUALLY INDICATES THEY WERE MORE LIKELY SCAVENGERS AND PROBABLY AMBUSH PREDATORS WHEN THEY DID HUNT THATS WHY SO MANY OF THEIR SKULLS HAVE BROKEN SABRE TEETH AND WHY A SKULL PERFECTLY INTACT IS WORTH SO MUCH MONEY 🙂💚🤙🏻💯STAY SAFE HEALTHY STRONG AND BLESSED
Yup. Just like Batman and Joker. They need each other. When one dies, the other will follow. It is the balance of natures. The other exist because their nemesis existed.
It is just the laws of nature.
If you look into it, cats today have evolved more athletic, more durable physical designs.
@Taji Erna yes. Predators need their favourite prey. They evolved to specialise in hunting one species more than the others. Without that prey species, the predator will begin to adapt to hunt something else and eventually evolutionary changes of their own species will occur.
Without the predator, the prey over breeds, becomes unfit and unhealthy. Ultimately over grazing their habitat and a mass starvation takes place.
Clouded leopard looks like a small version of Deinofelis (with shorter legs). Absolutely the most beautiful of the middle - sized felines (I hope that ocelot, lynx, bobcat, Caracal and serval forgives me)
And a longer tail.
@@johndoherty487 You are right. However deinofelis tail was rather long. Maybe a bit less than panthers but surely not a stump like (for example) Homotherium
Homo-therium is a cat I would love to have seen. It was more a "true cat" than a Smilodon. @@deinowolfhybridhero5101
I dunno. Cats don't forgive too easily. Anyway, my vote is on the Snow Leopard for being absolutely gorgeous. And a "bobcat" is a Lynx. Same animal.
Everybody who's knows them and watched them on trees and saw their beautiness can only love them. They are so special so cute. The nature did very well.
Indeed they are!
Clouded leopard are so playfull and so friendly to the people.
I wonder if this cats could not be fantastic playmates to playful dogs

That beast is just an embodiment of strength, grace and beauty! In a word - a CAT!
Smallest of the big cats. Largest canines relative to its skull and body size. All cats are at least reasonably good climbers, this one is the best of them all in the trees.
There's a lot of cool things to say about the clouded leopard!
Hi, I've studied these beautiful cats and they have two or more differences in their anatomy than other cat species ..they have a special ankles on their back feet similar to a squirrel that can hindge backwards...this allows them to hang on to a tree branch by their hind feet up side down like hands and can use their front paws to Hook prey on the Forrest floor five feet or so below them ..their jaws can open up wider than other cats to around 180° allowing the extra long teeth to catch prey around their neck and head for a quick kill .... truly a unique species of cat like no other and we can examine these features of the saber tooth lion to see the similar species of the clouded leopard are extraordinary! And are enemies of small primates like monkeys and in past history early humans...by the saber tooth lions and leopards , some ancient human skulls have shown teeth marks from large cat species that they ambush and grab a human at the the skull where it meets the neck so they had hunted early humans as their pray... that's scary ! From being their pray to now studying and trying to preserve their spieces!
I'm hopeful that they will still exist for our grandkids to marvel at...💔
Not me I hope they’re gone so future generations may Frolic amongst the rainforest with the bearded pig and bear macaque
I actually got a semi writing that comment Must be the bear macaque that did it to me
They will?
@@josiffexplosiff1 what is your problem. Just because they are carnivores???
Wow! This is incredible. Very nicely captured 👍
I think Clouded Leopards ARE our modern day Saber-Toothed cats. They’re BEAUTIFUL,and we must protect them at all costs!🐆❤️🔥 #cloudedleopards
Beautiful cat that needs to be preserved for many future generations. Step one, stop destroying natural animal habitats! Humans do not need to take over every inch of this planet. Step two, reduce the human population...nature might take care of that step.
I went most of my life without knowing the clouded leopard even existed and I’ve been watching animal shows ever since I was old enough to sit up and watch TV The first time I ever heard of them was on a show on Animal Planet called Growing up clouded leopard and I’ve been hooked ever since💯🐆💙🔥
I've believed that Clouded Leopards and Snow Leopards are the most beautiful cats on the planet for at least 2 decades.
U mean this guy? czcams.com/video/a4LwHQnHkig/video.html
Such a beautiful species! They're gorgeous.
Couldn't agree more!
Sadly that's part of the reason they are endangered.
Yea too atttactive for their own good. They'll alaways be hunted for their coats and they way they look. Its very ignorant.
There, my friends now
More than worth being rescued from extinction! A very unique fascinating predator with high potentials! Just great! ❤ 👍
Absolutely!
Everything is more then worth being recued from extinction caused by us ;)
Clouded leopard still found in North East India but they are in endangered
Er ist so Bild schön ,und er hat
ein sehr Süßes Gesicht .❤😄
Eine ehrfürchtige Raubkatze .❤
It's also known as the "yawning" leopard, the "ham fisted" leopard. the "slender tongue" leopard and the "long tailed" leopard.
Such a beautiful creature!!! Just found your channel and really love the great information and style….. I think you will have great success!
Thank you so much!

What a beautiful cat!
Anytime I see the word saber tooth I think of the yellow ranger “saber tooth tiger!!!” 😩😩🤣🤣😂
Im from bangladesh and here in our chittagong hill tracks we have a small population of clouded leopards😍🥰
I think the clouded leopard is the most interesting animal in world. Thank you for this fantastic video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
What this video failed to mention is that Saber tooth fangs are not exclusive to the Clouded Leopard, and it wasn't exclusive to the most famous member of the saber toothed family (Smilodon). There were many different species of prehistoric sabertooth cats, and saber tooth fangs were not just found among cats. There were saber toothed salmon, deer, and other prehistoric plant eating animals. Today, the Saber Toothed Era still exist. Not only do they include Clouded Leopard, but also the walrus, musk deer, warthog, elephant, and certain species of deep sea fish, all of which grow incredibly long and sharp canines,
The Babirusa. The Narwhal.
@@michaelpardo8403 but its the same concept that only a handful of animals have. The Narwhal was omitted. Also the Babarusi.
@@michaelpardo8403 - You're right they aren't canines. Canine refers to dogs. Saber-toothed animals are animals with sabers (elongated teeth), sabers weren't or aren't always used in a predatory fashion to kill.
I learned about Sabertooth rats
@@carsondouglas8600 - You can always add them. lol
Smilodon looking at Clouded Leopard from heaven : Aww what a cute nyaa nyaann
Dude, you masterfully executed the narrative for this. Much appreciation for your candid presentation. Especially the subtle suggestion in its conclusion which calls upon the consciousness of its viewers to question their values. The gentle yet obvious and straightforward gesture towards the outrageous direction human beings continue to lead. What kind of superficial bullshit will one day our Saber Tooth in all his glory is soon to be diminished to nothing but concrete walls and a lollipop keeping him alive. What a way to thrive. God bless us all.
Mixed Feelings Here...Thank you!
you forget to tell that the zookeepers are playing with the clouded leopard
Continue to to educate us keep up the good work ❤️☺️☺️💕
I looked this heretofore unknown cat “to me” while a likely descendant of sabre tooths The video overstated the case when depicting the take down of mammoths.
Qué animalito tan lindo. En Suramérica hay otro gato muy parecido. Cuidemos a los animales ya que son como nuestros hermanos.
Ngl that first scene of the saber-tooth taking down that other animal had me like "is this real??" That's some damn good CGI
The clouded Leopard has been a favorite of mine since I was introduced to it in Beatie's "Bring them back alive" in the 1940's
All of nature's treasures will be gone in less than 100 years due to the endless greed and cruelty of humans.
You spot on!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Genosid animal species
You are a human right ?@@rachmondhoward2125
Those saber-like teeth were easy to break and were an impractical hindrance when hunting small prey. They served exclusively to hold prey.
Very beautiful feline indeed. Excellent video. Many thanks.
Enjoyed the video
Thank you very much for this video showing this amazing species which I did not know of its existence until now.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome Clouded Leopard
Most beautiful cat I've ever seen in the wild! 👌
Are those cute little meows seriously the way they sound?

Děkuji ti za to! Vysoce ceněné :)
I loved everything about this video: your narrating voice, the music, the scenes, and...this magnificent creature!
If the African Lion is considered the King of the Savannah, then the Clouded Leopard is the PRINCE of the South-East Asian Forests.
Then who is the King of the South-East Asian Forest? The tigers?
@@clarkesmith. the Bengal Tiger is the Queen.
@@keltdevangel1 so who's the king?
Great show--I've never heard of these guys!
Sabre tooth had similar early descendant like Clouded Leopard.
Wonderful, thank you

*Cuando vamos a la selva muchas veces los vemos colgados de los árboles, todavía hay muchos en mi país*
Hermoso gato, excelentes sus colmillos y piel, completamente adaptada al medio en el que viven. Me encanto el video.

The island of Madagascar also has a predator distinct relative of a sabertooth tiger
That was an awesome video they are absolutely gorgeous beautiful amazing 😊
Thanks for sharing it, it was interesting, educational, and informative 💖
Glad you enjoyed it
This cat is the beautiful cat i ever see.
Such a beautiful animal!
(눈‸■)Such adorable little critters, if they went extinct it'd complete travesty, and serve nothing more than to further mark us humans as monsters.🍵
This is my favourite cat of all I always loved the cat tnx for video 👍🏻👌❤️
Most welcome 😊
So beautiful
Great video.
Glad you enjoyed it
A very impressive cat. It's beauty and physical adaptations are extraordinary.
They have a very aware and curious look on their face, kinda playful and mischievous look. Probably the last thing the chicken thought too..haha.
Great channel and awesome footage so good it almost didn't look real.
Or maybe I cleaned my grasses, either way Winning!!!
Glasses.
Thank you very much!
Very beautiful . 😍
When we go to the jungle we often see them hanging on the trees, there still plenty of them in my country.. 😁
Voiceover for this video is very professional and amazing 👍

Wow diidn't know about these cats, amazing..
I'm a cat man and these guys are among my favorite
I'm a cat 🐈⬛️ man 👨, too
We need to make some hybrid mixes of these with every Apex predator cat in the wild. Every big cat.

Wonderful video thanks a lot
Thank you too!
Absolutely beautiful animal
Gorgeous kitty!! I want one!?
Super cute
Luv ❤️ the monkey 🐒 giving the "the bird" @7:22
When I was little I remember a hunter came home with a similar cat in the Eastern region of Ghana. At a village called Banso
It is a sabre tooth cat not a tiger, you got it right in the end though. That is one stunning looking animal.
Saber tooth kitty kat!!😂
Like most felines,do clouded leopards also has retractable claws?
Is there any Clouded Leopard Hybrid Cats?
Instead, Bengal, Serval and Savannah, Chausie, Caracal are making gorgeous house cats.
Some should try for Clouded Leopard likewise.
What a wonderful cat
They are so cute
So realistic looking!
Just about to watch the video now, but if I can put my vote in for a Cat to be covered in a future episode, then I would ask for the Margay - a very interesting breed also with reversible ankles, so they can go as fast down a tree as they can up
That is a cool cat!
The most beautiful of all cats! Thank you for this program!
Thank you too!
They are beautiful cats.
Indeed they are!
We LOVE The Clouded Leopards, and most big cats (& little ones) and these cats have a special place in our heart! Glad to see that actions are being taken to prevent the poaching of these MAGNIFICENT cats! My wife and I say, "Way to go!"
