I don't pretend to understand the anime behind these figures but the build quality looks great. And the bonus is that there's not the awful plague of Funko Pops anywhere to be seen!
I have some pops, but only ones that interest me. No superheroes.

I really enjoyed this video. It was really nice to see a fair bit of the stock which a lot of videos don't do. It was so nice to see Bleach and Fullmetal Alchemist figures they never appear in videos!

Akihabara never gets old to me...When I visit one day I literally think I will go crazy from shopping all day looking/buying all types of amazing figures!
"I'm hungry and it's cold tonight....." Lot's of Maid Cafes in that area to help with that! lol! But seriously, thanks for pointing out where Tengoku (aka: Volks Hobby Paradise) is. And you had me smiling every time you showed a figure I have, which unfortunately for me, was almost every shot. Thank you for the vid!

There is some used stuff in here though if you are looking for that, like around 2:30, people can rent these boxes and put their stuff in, all of this is 2nd hand.
The amount of things to do in Tokyo is beyond human comprehension…
If I plan a vacation to Japan🇯🇵, Here below is my favorite Japanese toy :
1.Super Sentai (Power Rangers), especially the Megazord
2.Kamen Rider
3.Ultraman
4.Mecha just like Chogokin, Transformers, especially Gundam
Monster Hunter for me.

I love japan
I really liked the Mandarake in Akiba, I think it was the top floor that had older figures and collectibles which is what I was looking for. Also Akiba Zone is easy to spend a couple hours in. I'd say those were the best places I went to.

but the liberty figures were pretty cheap so many beautiful dbz figures for 1200 yen per peice

When I try to collect the whole series it was hard to get all so I had to tour all around to get it😂 And when I get the last one I felt really happy😆

Of course nothing beat being really in Japan.
Cave music + Japan exploration is the perfect mix, I actually turned on some Dodonpachi music from my phone (with headphones of course) when I was there last year it was awesome.

This is paradise, in fact Japan is a Paradise. It's kind of sad that our country isn't like this.
Very cool video. I never really shopped for figures specifically while I was vacationing in Japan two years ago. The main reason of course was that I had limited spare room in my luggage. But figures are literally everywhere in Akiba like you said. I was surprised to see a small selection at Yodobashi and even a small section at Tokyu Hands. Nice music - Mushihimesama - I play that game during my lunch breaks!

Seriously though cool video Jim, the amount of figure shops there is insane. Would be great to see all the shops in Radio Kaikan and the Kotobukiya shop too. Mandarake has an excellent selection but it might be far too cramped in there to get good footage.

Not Many 18+ figures in the shops you visited from manufacturers like Native, Orchid Seed, Alphamax, Q-Six, etc. It would be cool if you could visit shops like Jungle, Mandarake, AmiAmi, Nippon-Yasan, HobbyLink Japan, Hobby Search which are the major shops that people that live overseas purchase figures from online.

There's also a BookOff chain in the area if you want cheap secondhand books, comics, figurines and video games.

More game shops in general. As for figure shops: Robot Robot in Akihabara Radio Kaikan and Golden Age Toys. And any others you know of that sell used figures. I'd love to see some Gashapon videos too.

Would you say Tengoku has a good range of second hand figures? Or am I better off trying a Hard Off or Hobby Off? I´ll be looking for some inexpensive toys from series like Ultraman and Gegege no Kitaro.
Yep, tons of second hand figures, but Hobby Off is always a safe bet too.

I enjoy anything honestly japan just a interesting place to me. Although i always wanted to see music stores in japan esspelly metal ones... since i did seen some youtuber talk about a shop that has loads of metal music cds that you can name.

Also I'd like to know your thoughts on the modding scene? I read that Japan passed new laws to make it illegal. Personally I prefer the real thing and think it's almost stealing/offending the developers when people hack and mod things like playstation classic etc. Great videos thanks for the insights

The only reason I'm not going to blow my budget on figures the next time I go to Aki is because I don't have anyplace to put them at home.
