  • Before you start, wash your hands! This headliner stains very easily because of its colour. In this video I go over the main points you have to tackle when removing the headliner from your Nissan 350Z coupe.

    Great video - so useful when you can see how each part is connected and what the clips look like and how they can be removed. Cheers

    Hi Antony, great video and well timed as i need to drop the front of my headliner tomorrow! You mentioned two clips at the front of the map light holder that secures the holder (and therefore the headliner) to the roof at the centre above the wind screen. What would be the best way of releasing this without damaging the liner or the map light holder?

    • @AnthonyJ350
      @AnthonyJ350  Před 8 lety

      +Tim Avery The clips are in the map light holder towards the front. You have to grab on to the housing and just pull down from the front. Don't pull from the back because it's hooked in. It will stay attached to the headliner because of the retainers in the middle. If you don't need the holder out just leave it in the headliner.

      oh my god, thanks. lol I was getting lost. I just picked up an 04' touring Z. I just replaced the fans. not fun, but not to bad either.

    • @AnthonyJ350
      @AnthonyJ350  Před 7 lety

      The Gixxer Did they stop working?

    • @arnoldboats
      @arnoldboats Před 7 lety

      Yes, sir. the cars thermostat. was replaced and the previous owner though that was the problem. I did some tests on the IPDM relays(3of them) , then the ECT sensor and ran a test on the fans last with a fused in line positive with a negative to the battery. everything went good, but the fans tested failed. I should have made a video, but didn't think about it until after. I plan on replaced the 13 year old alternator (it's only time, before it goes bad) . I'll make a video on that since I'll have to remove the fans and bleed some of the radiator fluid.

    • @AnthonyJ350
      @AnthonyJ350  Před 7 lety

      The Gixxer Ya I'm thinking about replacing the alternator in the next couple years as preventative maintenece. It only has 70000 in it but I should put one in with a higher output.

    great tips vid... but the roof is solid on the 350z.... this z roof has no flex... and i run 2x15s in my 350z
    you know what rattles... the sunglasses holder.. the rear view mirror.. and the stupid round circle heater vents on the door..( high bass tones on the vents..) low tones on the sunglass and rear view.

    • @AnthonyJ350
      @AnthonyJ350  Před 8 lety

      +specialformula14 It's not so much the rattle part, but I'm trying to maximize sound quality in my car. Go up to your car and knock on it. It sounds very tiny and hollow. When you're in my line of work, everything makes a difference, not for everyone though. Also have you ever felt how hot that thing gets in the sun on the inside, I'm hoping it'll act as a good insulator and keep the interior a little cooler.

      @AnthonyJ350  Před 8 lety +3

      +headcheesee Alsoooo, I added like 2 pounds to the roof. Just work out and lose 2 to 5 pounds and you can do this to your car too :D
