I came here to listen to the V130 before I buy it, now I'm not so sure after reading comments about the bridge and intonation problems. My 2nd choice was the V132, has anyone had experience of that model? Not related at all, sorry, but all I can think of is how much the guy on the right sounds like Trump lol. :)

the v130 definatly needs a different tailpiece. i changed it to a compensated wraparound from an epiphone and it really changed the sound and string tension for the better. cost me 13 bucks including shipping.
also i could not get it intonated using the wilkinson bridge with strings thicker then 9s.... now it is perfectly intonated with 10s and has plenty of room left to adjust for thicker strings.
everything is else is great :) plays and sound super nice, and stays in tune forever.
however i did not enjoy playing it with the original tailpiece. it is a must-change! especially if you want intonation and no buzzing of the strings at the tailpiece.
man i really hate that wilkinson tailpiece.

@@mattyburrows9059 man their tailpiece is even worse. Just get one with pre intonation or no intonation at all. You will be fine and more comfortable.
I have a gibson junior which just has the bar without any intonation per string and every string is perfectly intonated. So there is that. It just needs to be slented.

@@vapporiesat3125 has the neck got a scarf join or is it one piece on these? i was debating a gibson junior but have you seen the neck join under the scratch plate..its shocking..the HB has a much better join and they do a fat neck version and that is what is swaying me..i know people had issues with the neck scarf join on the normal neck version but not the fat version .not to mention the gibsons headstock thats at 17 degrres and wrong coz they dont stay intune and they also love to snap there too.. www.mylespaul.com/threads/dc-junior-confusion.427114/#lg=attachment378535&slide=0

@@mattyburrows9059 i will can the neck tomorrow but i think it is one piece.
That 17degree angle might add to the tone tho. It gives more string tension, especially near the nut.

Too much distortion doesn't show how good these guitars really are
