"Can't hear you"
Finnegan has reached the pinnacle of smart-assery. I love it
Kevin lmao fr🤣🤣
Same 😭😁😭
5+ years later...still great!
Watching this now and seeing Finnegan visit his dad brought a tear to the peepers!
Man i miss old road kill… 💔
why? is he dead now?
Yes sadly he passed away
@@shawnadams1558 yeah and i see the sold the store, too. rip
@@maxwell431 I believe they sold the old store awhile ago.
38:14 Rest in Peace Mr. Finnegan. Really must have been one heck of a man to have his son love and respect him so much. Regards to your family Mike. T.G.I.Finnegan's
I’ll never forget watching this livestream in class hiding my phone under my desk.
amen brother
it was 2 am in my country, it was the first time i watched anything live. never gonna forget
What a great episode. Especially the look on dad's face when Mike pulled up as he was getting the mail. 😇 and the classic "sorry I can't hear you. " as he's tweaking the throttle linkage 🤣🤣🤣
Man, this was a great episode. R.I.P. Mr Finnegan.
He ain’t dead
@@peytonsmallwood4616 yes he did. Finnegan’s passed away in 2020.
RiP Stanley G. Finnegan
A great man that probably never expected to have a following online but here we are. We are fortunate to have been introduced to him and I'm sure he will be fondly remembered by many for a long, long time.
From the very first moment we get to see what a hard working, Intelligent and fun gentleman he is and from what Mike says thats just the beginning. He is an example we can all strive to match.
Finnegan always says best day on the job and that truly shows how much he and all of us enjoy cars and the experiences we gain from them
Nothing better than getting the email notification for CZcams w/ a video from MotorTrend......and it's Roadkill episode. Nothing.
Love the old episodes, I'm glad the algorithm is pushing them. K now, the relationship between Finnegan Jr and Sr was heartwarming, and I'm definitely not a softy, but it was so real and warm it really touched me. Talking cars, that Imperial you helped fix is a well rare and weird car, esthetically speaking it's a child of the era, so a love it or hate it kinda deal, and I happen to be the second person to like it 😅, it has sort of a small waterfall grille, and a sort of hybrid horse drawn carriege "trunk" / regular trunk, which are both weird but "subtle" enough (subtle in huge quotes!😅) to make it an intresting design. I remember photoshopping one slammed on 70s lowrider wheels, Tru Spokes, Star Wires, Astros, Cragars etc.. and lowered on nice rims with a thin white, really helped its wedgey shape gain some meaning. Unfortunately those cars have a lot of electrical problems and a real $hit engine, so to make one into a custom and being also able to enjoy it, would most likely require an engine swap and lots of harness work, and since their value is on the negative side only a true fan would have the necessary motivation, and to the day I've yet to see one. The fact that most didn't survive the crusher might be another reason though.. Anyway, great episode, thanks for the entertainment 👍🏻🖤🏴☠️
the algorithm isn't just pushing these old episodes, they are able to be watched again. at one point they were privated now they are open
I never doubted the guys for one minute.
Man I love re-watching these man I’m 19 now and I still watch it
Rest easy Mr.Finnegan it was honor to have known you even it was only through video clips.
rest in piece Papa Finn.
Rest Easy Mr. Finnigan. God Bless Mike and his family.
You guys are awesome!. Best version of the Crusher EVER!!.
For you starting it at the show and then getting yelled at is like getting invested to the party and told to leave cause you are having fun.
These shows have to run a pretty tight program in regards to how much noise each stand makes. The reason being that trade shows have had issues in the past of stands trying to outdo each other for attention with everything from loud music to all sorts of odd things. But the show should have been more lenient seeing that the show was pretty much over, so it wasn't that important at that point. I'm guessing that Hotrod did not ask for permission, which was kind of dumb, seeing that it is easy to get permission for such things as long as they are planned.
@@AB-80X sometimes, it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission :) but yeah, getting yelled at was avoidable, along with showing up with a box truck and "not having the tools" to pull off an air cleaner assembly to avoid starting a fire...and not having decent jumper cables (all my cars do, a product of driving old junk when poor). they say they don't invent drama for the camera, but a lot of what they run into is just plain avoidable...
@@alertgasper motortrend tends to be fairly well scripted.
When Finnegan pulls up and his dads reaction…… I’m not crying your crying 😭
RIP Mr. Finnegan
Freiburger is a smart guy and he's willing to try new things I like the attitude I was teaching Vietnam veterans in 1972 in trade school for auto repair ended up doing it for 45 years professionally still working on my own hot rods
12:11 legends say that was the first Karen ever created 😂
Best version of the Crusher EVER!!
Best Roadkill episode ever!
GREAT VIDEO MIKE AND DAVID!!!! I LOVE CRUSHER CAMARO AND CRUSHER IMPALA!!!! I LOVE MY HOT ROD FAMILY!!!!! SO MUCH FUN!!!!! GREAT VIDEO, GREAT EDUCATION, AND THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!!
You guys are awesome!
Best episode yet.
Rest easy Stan!
Absolutely love these guys and the show
productivity across the world dipped during those 3 days...
Really enjoyed this episode while eating, finnegan’s Parents are so cool. Thanks for sharing guys
17mpg and 10.07 so long as you swap out the rear end gears when you get to the track lol
14:52, when in doubt, BACON!!!
This is my favorite Crusher Camaro combo. That LS7 was wicked.
Long live Mike's dad
I was so sad to hear of his dad passing away. It sucks.
This episode makes me miss my Dad!
I remember the first Hot Rod magazine article on the Crusher Camaro. My dad had a subscription and I read each article when it came in the mail. Here I am about the age my dad was when the first article came out still watching the Crusher saga. Wish my Dad was too.
that's magical the trip, the ca, the stories.
I really enjoy watching your channel!!!
Perfect timing, just finished exams…
Me tooo!! just finished a midterm and got me some carne asada fries. come back home to open up youtube and see a new ep of roadkill. awesome..
Ear to ear smile everytime I watch this.
When friburger and Finnegan mock a lady screaming at them
Rest easy Finnegan sr such a beautiful moment in this episode
Miss roadkill for sure. Wish you guys would come back to CZcams..
Awesome car boys !!!!
RIP Mr. Finnegan. So sorry for your loss Mike
omg this was 9 years ago :O waow, time flyes
Best car you’ve ever worked on
I love this episode, surprised your dad, r.i.p. Mr Finnigan 😢
THIS ONE WAS ALMOST BLASTPHEMI LEVEL....EPIC.
I love their reaction to getting yelled at. "I can't hear ya!"
+Michael Tarantino I would've revved it to 5 grand and blown her skirt off.
+Michael Tarantino it goes to show you though that for the most part these shows are yuppie bs
I would of licked both those chicks asses
+David Carrafiello Enjoy !!! lol
And then they would have ripped a juicy fart
Finnegan meeting his dad was so heartwarming.
love how now that he's famous dad comes around
him doing a burnout in front of his parents store was priceless
@@woah_itsivan9065 Oh no! Thanks for letting me know, I was not aware of that. My condolences to the family, you can clearly see that someone passed on who was dearly loved.
If NASCAR is annoyed by you working on a hotrod right next to them, then those idiots have lost sight of what THEY are supposed to be about.
Very true but not its all corporate owners not the same car enthusiasts as befoee
bigkarl24
That's the problem, it's all about sponsorship and money, and less about cars and racing. NASCAR is a big stage for advertisement.
But It was worth it to see the lady telling them off @ 12:17 "vroom vroom, I can't hear you". LMAO
Tuyj
Andrew Wesley jyyuuuugccj
"You need to cut that off!"
*Revs Engine*
"Can't hear ya, sorry"
WIN!
*opens throttle* "can't hear ya" pretty damn funny, . Love the show. I feel like you guys are so genuine
Brit Gilpin she deserved it too!
Powergaming what? I can't see your comment
Spat water all over the place laughing at that one. So badass
Sow cool
I love how Mike is reving the engine as she is yelling at them. "What? I can't hear you"
"Sam got his phone taken away by the teacher yesterday because he was watching the live feed."
Best reason ever to use your phone in class.
Better than playing fortnight
Yes!
these guys are so badass. helping strangers and getting helped by strangers. love car people helping car people
hahahah the lady comes up bitchin and finnegan raps it out to about 6k hahahahaha so classic, 'i cant hear you'
best part of the show
I'd do her
i love how your crew covers each other. birthday? get your ass home, i got it. you got a meeting? i'll take it from here. and those dudes you helped in that hotel parking lot? they're never selling that car now. you guys are the cat's pajamas.
+electrontube The bee's knees
+The Stig moms spaghetti
+MindBlowerWTF knees weak arms are heavy
there's trans fluid on his sweater already
On the surface it looks calm and ready
8:07 "We were probably going to just dump it back in the car at some point." 2 years later and it's sitting a 69 impala. #becauseroadkill
The girl with the ratrod god damn
+jacob stebbing she was mint
+jacob stebbing She was baddd!!!!!
200 cars.Wow.
+jacob stebbing what time?
I got a bulge in my pants wowzers I just made a mess in my trousers
You guys can't make these episodes fast enough. I love 'em all
I think I'd rather have the Crusher than a new 2014 Z/28.
Stephen Bagnell probably a lot more than just 1000
fvxv
No that Z/28 is fucking mean, it will tear up any track you put it on... Kiss a Porsche good-bye at a stoplight, and make a GTR look like a SUV when cornering.
I love Chevys I don't like the crusher look at the car face off the cruiser had to kept spinning out and -2 secends faster worse then a EL camino
My uncle, Kevin Gass, a field rep and NOS tech for Holley, drove the crusher in the pits at an NHRA even and said he didn't think it was even fit to be driven around in that situation, let alone the highway.
So uh... how do I get a T.G.I.Finnegan's Country Market T-shirt? So cool.
DEBOSS GARAGE you go to Arkansas and buy one
They sold the store.
"I can't hear you" possibly the best moment in roadkill's history!
I'm 13 and I learn so much from you guys about vehicles
lmao the 12:10 when the lady screams at them to not start the car and he just reves it louder and says I CAN'T HEAR YOU
Hi bud pii iei8doro
Finnegan at 12:16.... "can't hear you" made me seriously laugh so hard! Love this show!!!!
Warmed my heart to see the passion moms had when talking about her son. Cool, indeed mom.
Even the Finnegan's dad looks cool... this "show" rocks!!!
That moment when Finnegan reved the big block right in the face of the lady was fucking epic! Can't begin to tell you how many times I've watched this.
This one even went all sentimental! The pit stop to visit Mike's dad was a really great detour, you could tell it meant a lot to Mr. Finnegan. Roadkill keeps outdoing itself.
Not gonna lie, the 200 cars hot rod chick was pretty hot.
+Mad Hatter I 'bout died when she asked, "Do y'all like to party"?
There's only one way that would have ever ended, if it were me. Lol.
kingcrimson234 I can imagine :P
Mad Hatter hell yeah she was, like an old school pin up girl, and she builds cars. and sh would have totally thrown some yum yums their way.
does someone know her name?
FACTS
the dad moment is a tear jerker. I hope I can make my pops proud like he does...
Another epic episode...that was awesome. I'm amazed that it's still knocking down 17 mpg and the consistency at the track was impressive too.
The kid that got his phone taken away for watching the live feed is going to be Editor-in-Chief of Hot Rod Magazine down the road :)
I was wacthing and my teacher was so cool he actually put it on the projector for the entirety of the project
Watched this episode so many times now. This yellow Camaro is officially my dream car.
Pepperoni Pizza 🍕 i would go stuper bee, monza, pig pen, ratsun, or muscle truck
***** mines the leaf blower monza im still looking for one for cheap to buy
wade mckenney forgot about the monza! ya put that in somewhere too
LOVED IT! Great video whole way through. The ups and downs of demanding car builds. Very cool outcome. And Finnegan's dad was priceless.
They have the best job ever.
Can you believe it's been 8 years sense this came out. Seems like it was last year.
That meeting with father saying Son of a bitch is absolutely epic moment ... More than starting up the Camaro for the first time.
You need to find that buxom hot rod girl and do an episode with or about her !
You are disgusting.
No, my aromatic farts are disgusting! I will fart in your face!
lol says the furry
Petuko typical fury freak
I'm sure that would end his marriage
Am I the only one who noticed the dog poster in the back seat at 19:06? Lol
its from the live stream they did, if you watched it you would also see the dog poster sitting on the couch
NOPE I SAW IT caps f u
Don't worry I saw it to
Kimbal MackinnonI kept waiting for it lick it's chops until I realized it was a little too big and wasn't moving. XD
+Kimbal Mackinnon I thot it wuz the dog.
One of the best episodes yet.
Roadkill. best show ever!
They should trademark a puddle of transmitting fluid as their symbol
Transmission
+Christian Norris or any puddle of fluid for a car
+colinda jaspers I think Land Rover owns that trademark...
really
+Pzgraf lmao
shhh...I've been waiting all goddamn day for this. I saw this morning on FB and said, I'm saving this for quiet time. The boys are too good to waste over screaming kids and morning head. Wait till the end of the day. And 38 min....AWESOME. I already know it's gonna be good.
It really is the coolest thing that you guys took time out of your busy day to help a fan with his car. It says a great deal about you, hot rod guys and true car enthusiasts.
i like how they close the highways in texas due to a little snow. meanwhile in indiana, it was -40 with 8 inches of snow on the ground and everybody including me was going on with out business like any other day. i love seeing people who have never seen snow or don't know how to drive in it.
We get weather like yours every year and people still don't know how to drive in it that live here. It drives me fucking nuts when the roads aren't even that bad and people are going 15-20mph in a 45.
06Duramax97Powerstroke oh i know it. i was stuck behind someone who wanted to go 10 mph on an exit ramp one morning after it snowed.
Not quite 40 below but same deal here in New Jersey. 15 degrees and 8in of snow here, not a big problem for me.
CMTreptow it only got that low 1 day here. it supposed to get below 0 agin next week
indeed. i like driving in snow :D
when I was 13 years old, my mate's dad had a bright yellow 68ish Camaro with open exhaust.....here in the UK thats incredibly rare. One day we were getting a lift into town and the guy floored it off a stand-still and POWW !! ..........I still imagine that as the fastest car in the world, amazing punch.......this episode of RK couldn't do anything but bring those days back to me 40 years later .........thankyou roadkill, you guys rock
When finigan pulls up on his dad and sees that smile 😊best day at work ever
24:46 best reaction to seeing his son 😂
Amazing episode guys. Love what you do. Keep up the great work
We've all been reading Hot Rod forever. But David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan have morphed the Editor's duties to include Roadkill!! Kudos guys, this was the "missing" piece of the pie, and it was pure genius. Keep it Real, Honest, and Interesting!!
awesome episode guys! the surprise for dad was funny. keep it going!
just started watching road kill a few months back, it's good to see a win once in a while. Dam fine car
It really would be so cool to meet you two. Roadkill is MOST definitely one of my all time favorite series on YT and you two get to live my automotive dream in every episode. God bless guys! If you ever come to Pittsburgh, let me know.
This is the kind of thing that I wanna do for a living, sometime I'm gonna go to a tech school and learn everything about motor mechanics as possible.
It's the cash that's the problem
+HazardousFromage true.
And finding the ability to have the time AND money for it. Usually it's one or the other.
Invite hot rod girl to more episodes. She needs to be in every episode.
just make her part of the show
That pin-up, rockabilly chick was smokin, I'd marry her in a heartbeat.
She wanted to party. lol
Very cool interactions with people. I like the bonding you did with your fans.
