YES! I've loved music all my life. Remember favorite songs from way back. But as I found out after one of the founding members of KISS, the music teacher at my school asked me to try out for our HS ROCK BAND. One of the 2 songs was Old Time Rock and roll, Bob Seger and I used my parents copy of Live Bullet when I practiced prior. Day of, the Drummer and I drank a couple bottles of Wild Irish Rose đŸ€ą then I proceeded to sing the entire song in the wrong key. 😆 I had no idea and that kinda killed my Rockstar aspirations so I never took any music courses in college but wish I had. It's truly my first love and the love will always be there. Yet like most of the relationships with women I've had in my 50+years I have NO IDEA what's really going on, just know I like it. RICK is slowly changing that. So THANKFUL he popped up and has been a part of my day since

In “Judith,” vocalist Maynard James Keenan is addressing his mother Judith Marie Keenan, who suffered a stroke and was restricted to a wheelchair for the rest of her life.
Judith died in 2003, three years after the release of Mer de Noms. Following her death, he scattered her ashes across one of his vineyards and named one of his wines after her, honoring her memory with his Cabernet Sauvignon, Nagual del Judith. A nagual is a protective deity in form of a plant or an animal.

i subscribe to this channel a few days ago after seeing "what makes this song great?" for U2's Still haven't found....and i found out that everything that i love about songs or albums is what Rick's describing in these videos...i worked on radio, on record stores and music magazines..my father was a musician (piano player) i'm 49 and since i was very little my father taught me some things about sound, production, playing and writing...since then every time that i listen anything i try to go into these aspects...but Rick being a producer he analizes much more deep and with more knowledge...and for me those details are substantial...and whats more important: he does it with such passion that even if you don't like or know the songs you're ending interested because how he talks and explains those details......it's a real pleasure for me being part of this channel and learn from the enormous amount of knowledge experience and musical taste that Rick has to share with us...thank you Mr.Beato for being such a teacher and for the energy and (again) passion and efford that you put into each and every video!

@@rmr5044 Oh, wow. I didn't know anyone replied to me. Wonder if I accidentally deleted a notification...?
I'll answer. It's funny because of the switched lyric. A lyric in its original meaning means a lot more than thanking any God. To be in defiance of a God, it makes sense to me. If I were an atheist, it might not make me nauseous, because I hate God. Although repeating the lyric created for a radio or television edit is funny, it's still sickening how censorship works. Brian Savage's "lol" in that he finds it maybe endearingly funny isn't what makes me sick, by the way. I don't know if that's what you were asking...?
I feel the need to laugh even though it's disgusting. Just like the original poster. But my thoughts on the changing of the lyric are of more than simple irony. Original content is slim pickings. So, changing it to suit the rest of the audience is controversial to me because of the defiance. Changing the meaning, changes the idea, the actual feeling. Thanking a God is old hat, while telling God to get lost is something the lyricist was aiming at...
      If you understand my litany.

A few things to clear up here. The guitar was tuned in C# standard, the verse was played with inverted chords on the E and A strings together at the 5th and 7th frets. Billy didn't use a digitech whammy either, he used a fuzz/octave pedal set an octave up and the bass rolled off on the guitar, I think, from memory he was on the neck pickup for that section
