I tried this video poker strategy to play longer and earn more points for comps. Jackpot vs Playtime

- In this video poker strategy session I played double bonus poker with a strategy to earn more comps (or points) rather than focusing on just winning jackpots. Of course, we all want a royal flush or 4 aces, but part of being a consistent video poker player is being able to maintain your bankroll and play for a long period of time. It's often the 3-of-a-kind that keeps me in the game.

To earn points for comps in Las Vegas and other casinos, you need to play for longer periods of time and have more "coin in" meaning pulls or money that you play. It does not mean that you win or lose, it means that you continue to play.
Disclaimer: Consult with the specific casino where you are playing for information on how they calculate comps.
My advice is do as I did buy your own double poker machine. I own the identical machine your playing on with the benefits of I have great entertainment cant lose any money at all saving a fortune over time when I empty my poker machine twice a year pays for my flights & holiday in Asia 2 months of year. These machines can be bought very cheap and are easy to maintain as digital with no moving parts.
That's one of the most unique ideas that I've seen. What a cool idea!
There are free apps on your phone that do the same thing with buying or repair. Agree though gambling in general is a losing proportion so best not and just save your money
I love my IGT video poker machine. It's from Treasure Island!
in *9*/7/5 Double Bonus, when you're dealt two pair involving Aces, hold the pair of Aces. However, in *10*/7/5 Double Bonus, hold the two pair for the extra full house payoff.
So confusing. I’m really getting into video poker but all the variations and paytables are killing me. I want to get good at one variation so when i go to the casino my bankroll can last and maybe win some money. but all these nuances are 🤯.
I thought holding the As was correct but i just looked this up and punched it in the hand analyzer and ur right. arghhhh!
@@ltnvideo If you want to start off on video poker, I recommend start with regular bonus poker FIRST. It has an easy strategy; you can play that game just like you would jacks or better.
Do you look around for a more favorable pay table?
@@vegasvictories Absolutely! If any paytable pays 99% or greater. I play $0.50 to $1.
talk too much just play
Agreed. Too hard to watch. No sub
What casino were you in that had this 10-7 video poker?
That was at the Four Queens.
I have an UX 10/7 DB play in Colorado that I love. I can play for hours and watch sports in front, deli behind me...heaven.
At which downtown hotel did you find this full pay 10/7 Double Bonus poker game? That is a great find!
At the Four Queens. I've heard that there are other places that have them too, but I'm not sure where.
@@vegasvictories You can find full pay video poker machines at Station Casinos and Arizona Charlie's, but they don't let you earn full rewards points when you play them.
@@vegasvictories They have them at ALL station casinos.
@scottarooni I just went and all I saw were 8/5. Maybe I didn't look all over. I was at Green Valley Ranch.
@@ttna77 Green Valley Ranch is very far away from me, so I'm not really familiar with their casino. Usually, the full pay video poker machines have "100% Payback" on the display, and they also don't let you earn full points on the play (I think it takes $12 coin-in to earn one point on these machines). I live near the Santa Fe Casino, and they do have 100% payback video poker machines, but they are few and far between. I also heard that there are no longer any full-pay Deuces Wild games (paying 25 credits for a four-of-a-kind) anywhere in the country. Lastly, 8/5 Bonus Poker, 9/6 Jacks or Better, 10/7 Double Bonus, 10/6 Double-Double Bonus, and 9/6 Bonus Deluxe are all considered to be full-pay, but only the 10/7 Double Bonus and the 10/6 Double-Double Bonus are over 100%.
First time here.but video is to short.i will check back again thanks.
Thanks for coming. I have some longer videos coming. I'm working on them.
Four Queens!
Straight Flush sucks. You never hit it and it doesn't pay well.
The odds aren't great, but it's fun when you get it.
Definitely just keep the two aces rather than the 2 pair going for full house. 2 pair and 2 aces pay the same should you not hit the full house. so better to just keep the 2 aces going for the 4 aces.
Do you play Ultimate X poker? Do you keep just the Aces when playing that variation or do you play differently?
@@vegasvictories It is always going to depend on the pay table. I always look for the far right pay line to be 5, 10, 15, 20 etc never a 5, 5, game like this one.
That is incorrect. On "full pay" double bonus, where the full house pays 50, mathematically the correct play is to always hold two pair, even when one of the two pair is AA. On other double bonus games, where the full house pays 45 (or less), then you should only hold the aces. Obviously, if you want to chase the four aces, you can hold just the aces, but in the long run you will get a slightly better return on full pay double bonus if you hold the two pair.
Strategy says hold two pairs, including two pairs with aces. Cost you money to throw 2nd pair!
i cant believe people watch people playing wtf
