@@HudsonHenryPhoto I know you're not a fan of the battery grip for the Z6ii/Z7ii, but it does add another USB port which offers power and leaves the camera port available - the Unleashed works fine in this mode...
@@HudsonHenryPhoto Has anyone found a dummy battery that actually works for the Z7II ? My older Case Relay dummy battery charger works just fine on my Z6. Oliver from Foolography says you don't have to keep the trigger connected via the USB C port and that you only lose a small amount of functionality if you disconnect it. Probably what you lose, is that which you most need / want...such is life. Using a dummy battery seems the most rationale way to power a Z7ii long term, if we can get a system that works.
Do you still also recommend the Wolverine round magnetic filters from Kase? I don't know if I should go for the 82 or 95mm for my Nikon 14-30. The 95mm are probably better against vignetting at 14mm with 2 filters attached but they are huge for hiking photography and my other lenses ...
Hey Patrick. I can't imagine going back from Kase's magnetic system. If you even slightly consider 112, go the rest of the way and get 112. Nikon is clearly dedicated to the 112mm format even if they aren't good enough at marketing to broadcast it. Right now the 112mm threaded HB-97 Hood, (included with the 14-24, but sold separately too) fits your 14-30, all three 2.8 S zooms, the 50 1.2 and I'm taking bets it will fit the 100-400 too. :-) 112s are so thin and nice to use, the case they make for them slips right in my bag with 6 filters without taking much room and now 82mm filters feel tiny and prone to vignetting. Yes, even a Kase thin 82mm does vignette a bit at the wide end on the 14-30. Given where Nikon is headed with the 112 standard, I'd urge you to consider that instead of the 95 though. :) You'll never look back. I've got more here: www.hudsonhenry.com/kase
Just received my Kase Wolverine 112mm kit! Great shipping speed and brilliant product! Thanks Hudson! Weekend is looking better already! 👌🏻👌🏻
Thanks, Hudson. Placed an order for the foolography unleashed V2z. Looks compelling. One less battery to charge.
Great video as you always did!
Awesome as always
Brilliant & informative as always
Thanks Hudson. Great reviews. I ordered my foolography V2 last week. I wish there was a way to add usb power when it's installed
Yeah, agree on that. I tried to figure out a way with the unleashed folks and it's really complicated...

Good point Carl! Maybe the battery grip for night or timelapse work... Hmmmm.
@@carlmarch603 thanks. I did not think of that. I wonder how many other brands have this advantage

Unleashed kickstarter lists the Z9. Any word on if the original version will work with the new flagship?
I'll complain if it doesn't, but I can't tell till I have it in my hands to test for sure...
@@HudsonHenryPhoto Sure hope so, really love them on the Z6ii and Z7 after the update
If i have the Kase magnetic ND filter set, is there a way i can mount this adapter to use the square/rectangular NDs?
They really aren't designed to work together.
