8:40 Trackhouse could merge with Kaulig - Sport
when you think about it, a kaulig-trackhouse merger would basically be a reincarnation of earnhardt-ganassi racing
How so?
I mean, Trackhouse bought out Ganassi so….
@@TheHighRoad1748 Trackhouse's got this weird ahh connection to DEI, and Trackhouse bough out Ganassi on 2021
The 1 car going a decade without a merger challenge: IMPOSSIBLE
How is Kaulig connected to Earnhardt or Ganassi?
god forbid chris buescher goes through a villain arc
the dude's the human equivalent of an f-650 supertruck if he ever picks a fight with someone then that person won't be able to race the next few weeks
Chris Buescher is the equivalent of a big Teddy Bear ❤
@@felixeur1276 Until he turns Grizzly. I almost want to see that... 😈
god forbid? You have to be kidding. Keep the BS god out of reality. what is a f650? Not another fat piglet on the road, I hope.
chad gable heel arc incoming
I think that's why he held back against Reddick. Buscher would stomp that middle schooler...lol
100% with Brad
This guy won three races last season and took RFK from a simple playoff contender to a Dark Horse for the championship with Trackhouse, 23XI, and RCR. We aren't even halfway through the season, let Buescher cook and RFK fans will eat well soon
And now they drive a LITERAL Mustang Dark Horse.
Don't forget 37 or 47 car from jtg daughtery
Silly Season is chaos and I LIKE IT
I think what Trackhouse did a few years ago was very impressive, but some of it was the leveling effect of the new car. Now the big money teams are getting it figured out, and in this business big money always rises to the top eventually.
Trackhouse is the big money team. They took the big sponsors and have Pitbull
If Chastain didn’t get a last place finish in the playoffs he would’ve won the championship
A Trackhouse-Kaulig merger should happen. Trackhouse can have 4 full time cup cars. Kaulig hasn't run well most weeks in cup. Kaulig and Niece could be the feeder teams in the lower series.
Kaulig was far more dominant when they just focused on the Xfinity series, in my opinion they should just go back and field a part time cup car for AJ at road courses
Kaulig Racing should’ve stayed a Xfinity team tbh
Agreed. But add Homestead to that schedule. Allmendinger is really good there.
AJ has been their only somewhat consistently good Cup performer.
@@EricEsteppand even he struggled to get top 20s it seemed like
Trackhouse as the cup team and kaulig as the feeder?
I think it’d make more sense for Trackhouse to buy Kauligs cup operatorion, and have Kauligs Xfinity team be their feeder team
I think the Trackhouse "woes" are overstated. Suarez is slow right now, but you can't erase a win. There is plentyof time to find speed before the playoffs. Chastain has been about 10th-15th speed often, but he easily could have won Daytona if not for Lajoie, and he was up front all day at Kansas until he randomly fell off on the last run. All Chastain needs to do is be hot going into the playoffs and I have zero doubts in his abilities.
Honestly it's frustrating not seeing Chastain win yet considering that there were moments in the season where he could've done so, but as long as he's consistent, I guess I shouldn't complain too much
Agreed. Chastain does this every season, he always seems extra aggressive in the first 15-20 races, going for dubs. Just hasn’t caught one this season, for one reason or another. Suarez is just in a funk, but he’s locked into the playoffs anyway.
I think Reddick apologized because Buscher is about 3ft taller and weighs 100lbs more than him
He looks like he weighs more than 100 lbs. heavier. More like 250 lbs. Give up the Twinkies and beer, Chris.
It's all muscle....
I said that to
Reddick’s a good dude. You can see that he just sent it and failed in that race.
Isn’t everyone?
While I’m unsure about merging, I could see Trackhouse buying Kaulig’s cup team, similar to how they bought Ganassi a few years back.
Could be
That just sounds a merger with extra steps
What happens to AJ Almendinger? Do they let AJ run Xfinity until Connor Zilich is ready. The Conner runs Xfinity until SVG decides to be done with nascar or if Zane doesn't pane out? Is Ross Chastain even the same driver he was a year ago? Daniel Suarez looked like he was building into a top 10 threat every week with the occasional running for wins, what happened? Will Zane Smith come to Trackhouse and have a resurgence like Noah Gregson has done at SHR? Trackhouse expanded beyond NASCAR, Remember the Moto GP Driver. Is that taking away from The NASCAR team that is Trackhouse?
so many questions and no answers HAHA
I think a Trackhouse-Kaulig merger would be best for both teams. Having 4 charters would really help out Trackhouse. And Kauligs Xfinity program would provide a better development pipeline to Cup. Makes sense to me
It's called silly season for a reason. Cause we make ourselves silly with so many speculations once 1 announcement has been made
I just don’t want Trackhouse Racing to loose their name. It’s fantastic and with time can become iconic.
Tyler's actions defused the situation really quick. And the remorse he showed proves he did not mean to wreck anyone.
Well said. Tyler was going for the win. Nothing new in NASCAR. He fessed up to it. He is fine and will more than Buscher.
@@ricksmith1382admittedly I do think it was both their faults considering that it looked like Buescher ran into the wall before the collision
Chastain has had top 5 runs and speed. Just other factors keeping him from finishing there
Chris is a dang good driver we got to see how much cares about racing that’s his life and he has the right equipment now, hell I believe he would have made DH apologize!
Ross was on track for potentially 2 top 5s at both Texas and Talladega on the last lap before getting wrecked
A merger between Kaulig and Trackhouse would be a win/win for both organizations. Without Trackhouse I see Kaulig essentially being irrelevant even though it has charters.
Kaulig has fallen off big time in cup and even the xfinity series, they need all the help they can get.
Briscoe driving the 21 would be the beginning of my villain arc 💀💀💀
Why
@@jacksonrobison1901 The 21 is a very uncompetitive team
He’s about to be in that car.
Maybe Penske will kinda care about it again
If SHR rumors are true probably gonna be preece
Remember Joey Logano used to be a "doormat" for many years as he was constantly pushed around by guys like Kevin Harvick, Tony Stewart, Matt Kenseth, and Denny Hamlin. Logano finally stood up for himself and now he's one of the best drivers in the Cup Series.
Suarez knows he’s on the hot seat. I like the guy and he’s good for the sport, but he’s been struggling hard.
Suarez brings money and money matters
Frl i don’t understand what else he missing sponsors or the car js don’t got speed cus he has it all
Chris Buscher reminds me a lot of the way, Mark Martin used to race I missed that error so much pre-COT car can’t stand it
Yes, you did miss that "error"... hahaha!
Telling a clean driver they need to change is the biggest problem with the sport we need more mark martins and less joey loganos
And i would think neing s clean driver will eventually comeback around to you if you knock someone out of the way theyre more likely to knock you out of the way in a more important moment racing someone clean theyll race you cleaner in an important moment
You noticed Tyler didn't take his helmet off smart if you think you're going to get punched out
My paw paw said the same thing
Are you blind? Tyler did indeed take his helmet off.
@@ricksmith1382 not before Chris walked away
If TrackHouse is not getting top ten finished, and Daniel is saying they lack Speed, even though everyone is doing their job, even Ross struggles, that’s on common denominator, Engines from Hendricks’s. We all know they got upset when TrackHouse was racing better than 24,48. Knause maybe not be sending Them good engines. It makes sense to me. Same thing that happened to Stewart Haas n Ford. Just pointing it out now. Daniel was just being polite by not pointing the finger.
Besides the Trackhouse/Kaulig merge rumors, there's also a rumor of Chase Briscoe joining the Wood Bros to replace Harrison Burton in the 21 and Cole Custer rumored to drive the 34 car for Front Row next season.
Thanks for the information do you know where Burton will go
Back to trucks or Xfinity
Honestly Briscoe to the 21 might be a downgrade. Penske doesn’t look as good as SHR rn
@@John-kx3ng thanks I figured
I'd hope that FRM goes after Briscoe instead. Briscoe is more talented and brings more sponsorship than Custer. If SHR splits and Gene Haas leaves that sport, does Custer even have any sponsorship besides a few one offs with certain companies? I'd hope to see FRM go after the big fish in Briscoe.
Buescher is a great driver and he is a great ambassador for the sport but I also believe it would be a bad idea to piss him off he looks strong as a bull and he’s kinda quiet that’s the kinda guy that can hurt people so tread lightly
Suarez's seat is guaranteed for the same reason Danica was in cup so long. He is a sponsorship slam dunk and will, at worst, be a pay driver for teams.
Failed to mention Ross Chastain was wrecked on the last lap of three different races in which he would have finished no worse than 2nd in two of those races and was running 4th before McDowell created the big wreck at Dega right before the finish line. Ross would be around 5th in points if it weren’t for being involved in those wrecks that weren’t his fault but that’s racing!
I think a Trackhouse/Kaulig merger makes sense if that coincides with a new OEM. If you they merger now you’re a 4 car team but third in the Chevy order behind HMS and RCR.
I think I legit proposed the exact idea of Kaulig and TH merging on Reddit like a month or two ago. It makes so much sense. TH expands their Cup team, Kaulig is now directly affiliated with TH as the xfinity team to develop drivers for TH in Cup. I could honestly see a merger where they end up selling off one of the charters to be a 3 car cup team.
Trackhouse plus Kaulig makes sense.
Also, big fan of Pristine. I checked them out after you showcased your Checkers or Wreckers Ross Chastain car. Have won several auctions. Thank you.
I think the main difference between Suarez and Chastain at this point is that Chastain is willing to make the dumb aggressive moves for position that Suarez won’t.
As for why they’re in the mess, I go back to the spring Darlington race last year. They fell off a cliff once Rick Hendrick got mad, and they haven’t recovered since. My guess is they’re still technically a tier 1 Chevy team, but in name only.
Ross did Dominate Nashville and Phoenix for two victories somehow even with with the reigns being pulled by Hendrick. Even With less speed Chastain continually runs much higher than Suarez week in and week out at all the tracks
@@eriklatham9384 Mostly because he takes risks that others won't. He makes hay on restarts and is so hard to pass that when he gets a decent position, he can usually hold onto it. Nashville was, I think, a race that Trackhouse had circled on their calendar, but he definitely wasn't faster than Blaney at Phoenix. If he actually gets fast cars again, he'll be a menace. Suarez is good, but he's too cautious to get the most out of his equipment.
Buescher would literally hurt Reddick, I'm glad he's a professional lol..
I don’t think any of the Supercars guys can race Chicago this year as I believe they have their own race on that weekend. Stoked to see Cam racing Cup at Sonoma. 😊
Kaulig & Trackhouse would merging together make more sense to me and the odd man out would be Daniel Hemric and Spire would get to keep the #71 charter for 2025. Daniel Hemric would go back to Xfinity Series driving the #10 and Connor Zilisch would replace SVG for the #97 and plus Trackhouse would love Kaulig to focus on Xfinity Series program.
6:10 hate to burst your bubble Eric but the Chicago Street race clashes with the Supercars Round at Townsville, so it almost certainly won't happen this year
I think the problem for Trackhouse is that teams like HMS and JGR have a better understanding of the Next Gen car than others. RCR is another team that has really declined since Kyle Busch's last win
Merging with Kaulig and having a 4 car team is good on paper, but is Trackhouse spreading themselves too thin, like Kaulig Racing has done themselves?
All this silly season news is more hectic and chaotic than the first part of this season.
And being a proud Aussie, I'm super happy some of our blokes are over there flying the flag
Kaulig needs to get AJ back in cup. He's a proven winner in that 16 car.
I think Suarez seat was hot even after the Atlanta win due to me expecting him to struggle
If you merge, you dont spend as much or have to wait until seasons end to start making changes. New team from date of merger so contracts are null and renegotiated ect. So we have no idea who the 4 drivers will be or if theyll even wait until next season.
I don’t think Logano is that aggressive. He will race you, how you race him. I think your Matt Kenseth bias is coming through. I’m not a Logano fan btw, I pull for Gragson.
I think Christopher Bell will win this weekend at the all star race and that's not a prediction it's a spoiler because joe gibbs racing has been great on short tracks this year
You never know, Alex Bowman could sneak up and steal a win without warning.
@@ARRON_THE_ZEROTH maybe we'll see about that til Sunday
They’re basically RCR cars. They run ECR engines and get setups from RCR.
I hope Suarez can turn this season around, a win is good but still needs show more den one win💪🏼🇲🇽
DA FAMOUS SILLY SEASON SILLINESS AND RECKLESS SPECULATION is in full swing!
We are barely half way through the season and silly season is getting crazy
Matt Kaulig and Justin Marks form a great friendship right there
Thanks Eric for all your updates, greatly appreciated 👏 🏆 🏁
Brad - Chris should keep being chris so i can win some races
Buescher reminds me of an older driver that was highly respected in the garage, Mark Martin.
Not sure how you can say SVG isn’t ready for Cup. He’s taking it easy in Xfinity and was leading the Cup race at Taladega on an oval for a few laps & would have been top ten if not for Ty Gibbs killing the outside lane as they were driving around the outside of everyone.
yeah i still get the feeling he is not fully racing yet, just getting as much oval time as possible, and as the races and gets close to the finish , starts to see what he can really get out of the car, but hey thats just how i see it
Thank you for the video.
Christopher Buescher can be my Wingman ANYTIME.
Track house is still so young as a tam let’s not forget.
Kaulig also gives them an Xfinity program. The merge makes the best out of a crappy situation for both!!
Track house joins a new team I don’t see that happening
I had a feeling kaulig and trackhouse would merge. Kaulig just hasnt had the success they thought they would. I wonder if the xfinity series side would also be apart of this merger. Also that could mean that 1 shr charter would be sold. We also dont quite known whats going on with JTG Daugherty, with possibly tad and jodi leaving. Silly season is getting interesting
I am excited for cam waters
Like to see him do well and would be happy for him if he did but I'd say he is out of his depth. What has he actually Won?
@@matthewallen5399oh come on……
It would be an interesting meger and it would solve all of Track Houses driver issues.
Buescher was in the wall before the 45 doored him regardless, dooming him really only hurt the 45’s situation. Just two drivers going for it knowing whoever has the lead is likely not to give it up within 5 or so laps.
I hope trackhouse merges with kaulig. Let them keep kaulig branding and run the Xfinity program. It only improves both teams.
Imagine Waters pulls a SVG and wins his first start
Tyler Reddick better watch out... he's going to have all 37, 746 people in the small town of Prosper, TX after him. 🤣
As far as Trackhouse speed I wouldnt say it's overly worrying since most Chevys haven't looked blazing fast outside of the Hendrick cars. So they seem to be on par speed wise with the rest of the Chevys. Trackhouse merging with Kaulig makes sense since Kaulig racing is an after thought in Cup at this point and is about there on the Xfinity side. As well as Trackhouse needs more Charters for all of their drivers.
Like I get right Biffle is of course an older driver his 54 years old he’s a 19 time cup series winner in first years with Roush but I think that bringing Greg Biffle back to RFK racing to drive the no. 60 as well but what do y’all think
Never happen
Trackhouse and Kaulig merger makes sense.
I think it's something with the car and partnership with RCR thats why trackhouse is struggling right now just like Kyle is to
As an rcr fan, I agree with you. Which is a surprising State of Affairs when you consider that they were running out the best engines in the sport at the beginning of last year. Even Denny, of all people, said so.
Idk what the heck happened, but since July of last year... all the work that RCR/ECR did the last few years to get back to top equipment has fallen off again.
The merge would make a lot of sense
Wouldn't Suarez have 2 top 5s this year? (Atlanta and Texas)
I feel so bad for that 17 man 😔
Ever since chastain was pressured into changing his driving style and was told to quit being so aggressive the performance of the entire trackhouse team has declined. They are still good and will always have ups and downs but the aggressive highlight reel style driving got them to where they were and they should have never changed it
If the 2 Kaulig charters go to Trackhouse and at least 2 SHR charters are still for sale who else do we see expanding? 23XI and RFK maybe? I think if the rumor of SHRs building and everything being for sale FRM might be able to buy that and 2 charters to satisfy their needs. Maybe FRM only adds one charter and the building and another one is out there for someone like Legacy to add a 3rd car.
Bet those keslowski girls can beat Braxton Bush
Lmao
They signed buescher last year
They need to move svg to cup next year. Sooner even. His experience is in v8 supercars, and the more time he spends driving a 4 link stock car its just building rust.
If trackhouse having full sponsorship for all car still has to make a merger to survive you know something is wrong in NASCAR, no wonder Ganassi sold the team to them. NASCAR is a fire money fit
I’m a Chastain fan. Not sure about the Trackhouse Kaulig merger if it happens. Granted, Kaulig has one full time driver, but with that, the 3 cars they’ve fielded have only 5 top 15’s this year. Suarez’s win is at a “drafting” track. It’s a win but this makes me wonder if the cars are that bad this year, and Chastain is out driving his equipment (sometimes) or if something else is going on.
If they merge, it’s like bringing two average/below average teams together. Looks good on paper but growing doesn’t always mean winning…and if the on track product doesn’t change, then you have 4 cars rarely getting top 5’s and top 10’s instead of 2.
Business wise: yes great decision. It will improve performance, maybe? Extra data and equipment to work with assuming the new body isn’t much of a change.
Anyone else here after door bumper clear mentioned the trackhouse and kaulig merger possibility last night?
Car and driver have the full page ad about Pontiac, it is back it says
Says a lot about Reddick though too, he doesn’t like to push it like he did. Also, BK6 pushed reddick into the wall and that’s how Chris got the lead…. Why is that being so overlooked?
You can’t expect two mid pack teams to combine and be a powerhouse
As a die hard suarez fan its sad to see him struggle, but im trying to remain hopeful that they can find something later in the season, or the very least, next season.
Logano had a rough time early when he was young. He was pushed around way too much. Finally he decided to be more aggressive and has been a top driver ever since.
Everyone has made such a fuss about Ford this year but the only Chevy team that hasn’t run like garbage on a weekly basis is Hendrick. I’d probably rank Trackhouse as the second best Chevy team but I’d probably put them behind almost every single Ford team in performance.
So it’s official then? Another Australian super cars driver coming to the States? Good, we need some more recognition other than driving in circles
Another foreign driver. ford has gone foreign along with GM. So, why not.
@@ricksmith1382 and Toyota got Kobiashi ( I butchered the name but still)
As far as Australian supercars goes, SVG is a Kyle Busch or Joey Logano and Cam Waters is a Daniel Suarez or Bubba Wallace - google Cam Waters stats.
It’s a banked oval and there’s a lot more to it than what you think.
@@mag1cman777 I know, what I’m trying to say is that people only think that NASCAR is just driving in circles when it’s so much more than just that
I would’ve liked to see Scott McLaughlin
I think he may have a race or two in the future with Penske in cup. Trust me on this
Ross only has 1 top 5, but has wrecked twice from a top 5 result, and possibly a win, on the last lap of 2 races. and put up a hell of a battle with larson at Kansas. the speed has been there. The finishes have not
The potential 2025 silly season moves:
1. 23XI buys a charter from Stewart Haas Racing and Corey Heim goes to the #67 car
2. Front Row Motorsports buys Stewart Haas Racing
3. Bass Pro Shops leaves Joe Gibbs Racing and goes over to Front Row Motorsports to sponsor Josh Berry after Martin Truex Jr retires
4. Riley Herbst and Cole Custer replace Chase Briscoe and Michael McDowell in the #14 and #34 respectively
5. Kroger goes to Joe Gibbs Racing
6. John Hunter Nemechek replaces Martin Truex Jr in the reinstated #18
7. JTG Daughtery Racing retains Ricky Stenhouse Jr in the #47
8. Chandler Smith replaces John Hunter Nemechek in the #42
9. Richard Childress Racing buys a charter from Stewart Haas Racing and Noah Gragson goes to the #31
10. Austin Dillon retires and Austin Hill replaces him in the renumbered #33
11. Tony Stewart and Gene Haas leave NASCAR at the conclusion of the 2024 season
12. Trackhouse Racing buys out Kaulig Racing for the 2025 season
13. Zane Smith goes over to Trackhouse in the newly formed #19
14. Shane Van Gisbergen gets promoted to the Cup Series in the newly formed #97
15. Chase Briscoe replaces Harrison Burton in the #21
Johnny Morris is not going to be on any car Josh drives unless it's RCR or Jrm, Noah will most likely have bass pro shops full time next year. I not sure RCR is interested in a 3rd charter right now and Kyle isn't happy with things
Trackhouse mergers with kaulig, shr mergers with frm what’s next legacy and 23XI merging
Is that a rumor?
@@lmq9516 yes
Calling it now, the next merger will be Wood Bros and Rick Ware. Rick ware is still on the hot seat, even with Justin Haley and the wood bros haven't performed well.
@@christiszkus7160wood Brothers is just a name and a racing museum and owners of the charter but everything else is Penske and edsel ford ll has a major say also.
I really don't see too much of a downside to a Kaulig-Trackhouse merger of sorts. Trackhouse gets more charters for all their drivers, Kaulig gets more help on the cup side, and Trackhouse gets and Xfinity/development team to grow their team. To an extent, it seems at least in the Xfinity series this partnership is already there with SVG, I find it very plausible for a real merger to happen.
Chris Buescher handled this perfectly. Other racers will want to NOT do what Reddick did, because of this. Reddick was the real loser in this scenario
Trackhouse needs to expand before the time runs out...could be now or never
? BK was 50% of one of the greatest last laps ever, with Marcus Ambrose at THE GLEN. And given that, it’s especially cool that he’s bringing in an Aussie for a road race.
DBC also mentioned rumors that SHR could “go away” entirely. And I believe it was Freddie Kraft who said, with some certainty, that “Harrison Burton is gone” from the #21 car after this year and that Chase Briscoe is the odds on favorite to move into that seat.
Ford likes chase and they have a say in the 21 or at least edsel ford ll dose and Penske will do whatever edsel wants if means Ford will give more money for the 21
