    Man, don't ask why the parking assistant doesn't work, they'll laugh at you.
    It doesn't work because you're in an empty parking lot, so you can park anywhere. Just drive it on a street with cars parked along and try the system for a parallel parking. It needs to detect other parked cars or obstacles

  • @Pauken11
    @Pauken11 Před 2 lety +2

    It only parks between two cars, whether it be head in, back in, or parallel park.

      @@ismathem Amazing...I can't seem to get used to how it autoshuts off and the lock/unlock when you're running errands, etc. The ride itself is spectacular. Feels like you're on a cloud and super quiet. Highly enjoyable daily ride.

      How long did you have to wait for yours? Right now they say delivery time is about four to five months, and I've ordered in mid-Dec. :(

      @@MattTheCarguy, thanks, but I went custom and the order's been placed already. Also, I'm in Germany ;) , but production times from date of order shouldn't differ that much worldwide (except the added time for shipping), I guess. Or does Mercedes manufacture this model in the US directly, too?

    6:19 This is a rear-wheel drive architecture vehicle. There is no such FWD version.

    • @Pauken11
      @Pauken11 Před 2 lety

      That is incorrect. 4Matic means all wheel drive. There is also a rear wheel drive, which I own. The rear wheel drive version does not say 4Matic on the right side of the tail gate.

    So disappointed. Went to pick up my new GLC to discover there are Extended Mobility Tires! I had run flat in a BMW and vowed never to do it again. The dealership said all of their GLCs have them. Bummed out

    • @MattTheCarguy
      @MattTheCarguy  Před 3 lety +1

      I am with you but the way manufacturers look at it, not having a spare tire reduces the weight of the vehicle which in turn increases gas mileage. Mercedes mobility tires are not bad. I had them on my C300. Very expensive to replace though.

    • @susanseligmann6033

      @@MattTheCarguy did you find you had to replace them more often?

    • @MattTheCarguy
      @MattTheCarguy  Před 3 lety +1

      Mine? Yes, but for different reason lol. They were summer sport tires and if ride them hard they will wear off faster. You should be fine. I did notice that new tires now don't have the same longevity as they used to. Just like everything less.

    • @blackcatsarenopussies
      @blackcatsarenopussies Před 3 lety

      Yes, agree. Same on mine. Tire repair kit doesn't work and the foam might damage the TPMS sensors. And if you're stranded in the middle of nowhere you and you're family will be exposed until help arrives. If you have signal.
      Saving weight is BS, I would just like a full size spare with jack and iron

      LOL, it depends, there are so many of them you can get lost. GLA, GLB, GLC, GLE, GLS and G ( not counting coupes) To me GLE is mid size which would make the GLC compact, but that is also a matter of opinion. Anyways, very nice SUV.
