Is it a must that force always brings change in status of object? What do we call when we try to push a wall which neither brings change in shape or position of the wall. Is it not a force applied?
premnathupadhyay we add force but the force is not enough to push the wall. newton’s second law of motion states that force = mass x acceleration. the mass of the wall is a lot, so our force isn’t able to push it. we need a thing which is able to make unbalanced forces. a bulldozer has lots of power, that’s why it can easily take out a wall. it is able to exert an unbalanced force which allows it to move. forces are applied in both directions, if we apply suitable force, we can push or pull it.
Well to bring change in state of wall we must be able to first overcome the friction. Till the time balanced forces are applied the wall will not move at all.
