Have you ever wondered what makes an object slow down or go faster? Well, join this class to find the answer to this interesting question.
The movement of an object depends upon the force and pressure applied to it. In this Mission Mid-Terms series, Saurabh Sir will take you through all the important concepts from your Class 8 Science chapter 11, Force and Pressure.
Some of the topics covered in this class are Force, Types of Force, Pressure, Pressure exerted
by Liquids, and Atmospheric Pressure in one shot. By the end of this class, you will be
able to solve any type of question-related to these topics. Saurabh Sir will lead you through all the concepts in a very interesting way.
A push or a pull on an object is called a force. Forces applied to an object in the same direction count to one another. “If the two forces act in the opposite directions on an object, the net force acting on it is the difference between the two forces.” Learn more about this in this class.

The video script covers the topic of force and pressure in a one-shot session for Class 8 Science. It explains the concepts of force, pressure, types of forces, and atmospheric pressure. The script also encourages viewers to subscribe for more educational content and offers a gift for early subscribers.
    Key moments
    00:00
The video focuses on force and pressure, highlighting their significance in everyday life. It also promotes an upcoming exam, offering scholarship chances and cash rewards for participants.
    06:10
Force is the interaction between objects, leading to changes in speed, direction, or shape. Contact force, like muscular force, requires physical touch for application.
    12:10
Contact forces require physical touch between objects, while non-contact forces like gravitational, electrostatic, and magnetic forces act without direct contact. Net force is the sum of all forces acting on an object.
    18:12
Forces in the same direction add up, while opposite forces subtract. Balanced forces have a net force of zero, unbalanced forces have a non-zero net force.
    24:17
Pressure is influenced by force and area, affecting objects differently. Nails, knives, heels, elephants, and bubbles demonstrate how pressure varies based on surface area and force applied.
    30:19
Pressure by liquids and gases changes with depth, affecting bubble size. Atmospheric pressure is the weight of air column over Earth's surface.
    36:39
Atmospheric pressure decreases as altitude increases, impacting activities like drinking through a straw and using suction cups.

    Force and Pressure
    Thrust
❖ The force that acts on a surface in a direction perpendicular to it, is known as thrust.
    Pressure
❖ Thrust per unit area is called pressure. So, pressure = force/area on which it acts.
❖ Liquids exert pressure on the walls of the container in which they are kept.
❖ Gases exert pressure in all directions.
    Electrostatic Force
❖ A force exerted by a charged body on another charged or uncharged body is known as electrostatic force.
❖ Atmospheric pressure is defined as the pressure exerted on a surface by the weight of air above that surface.
    Atmospheric Pressure
❖ The pressure exerted by atmospheric air around us is known as atmospheric pressure.
    Contact Force
❖ A force that can be applied only when it is in contact with an object is called a contact force. For example,
    hammering a nail.
    Electrostatic Force
❖ When a charged body, either having a (+) or (-) charge, exerts force on another charged or uncharged body, that
force is known as electrostatic force.
    Force
❖ Simply a push or pull exerted by an object on another is a force.
    Friction
❖ The force of friction always acts on all the moving objects and its direction is always opposite to the direction of
    motion.
    Gravitational Force
❖ The force exerted by the earth to pull the objects towards itself is called the force of gravity.
    Gravity
❖ Every object in the universe, whether small or large, exerts a force on every other object. This force is called the
force of gravity or just gravity.
    Magnetic Force
❖ The force exerted by a magnet to pull/push a metallic object is called magnetic force.
    Muscular Force
❖ The force resulting due to the action of muscles is known as muscular force. For example, writing, cutting
    vegetables.
    Non-Contact Forces
❖ A force that can be applied without any contact between two objects is called non-contact force. For example,
    the magnet pulls the iron-pieces.
    Pressure
❖ The force acting on per unit area, applied to an object in the direction perpendicular to the surface is called
    pressure.

sir, I have a doubt if we suck out or manage to take all air particles of a small paper box like matchstick box, inflates, if we do the same thing with a big room whose walls are made up of bricks, then what will happen, will it inflate of the shape remains the same?
because the force the pressure is still applying on it from outside but not rom inside, and if it is so simple to destroy houses or buildings to use that land to build more of them, why don't we use this way instead of all jcb's and heavy heavy machines?
