The amount of testing i did with my model thinking that i made it incorrectly and then losing my mind when i tried standard models other people put out there for free with the same issues. Only to finally come across this video and it saved everything. You have my utmost thanks!

OMG thank you so much! I searched for tons of videos and none of them explained as well as you did! It worked and I can finally follow other tutorials that just glossed over how to get the file into unity.
Thank you! This Video saved me many hours searching. So I did not need to try al night and I am glad, that I found this video so quick when I saw things could get complicated.
But the importet avatar appears invisible in game tab and only is visible in scene tab.

Turns out I have to select the pic in assets and drag it into Hirarchie.

Lol I was pretty frustrated when I couldn't find any tutorials as well ^^ So I figured someone else was probably struggling to do the same. So I suffered for all of y'all, haha XD I'm glad it helped!

It still didn’t work, I have no idea what’s going on with this After installing the package all I see on my task bar is file, edit, assets, game objects, component, window, help….. I am not getting the task bar GLTF or the VRM.

even after i import all the packages theres no VMR0 option? its just the basic stuff, do you know how too fix that?
The software might have updated at this point, so it might just be something like "VRM" or something similar. But there should be a new option at the top bar, regardless ^^ And I'd assume that would be how you'd try to import it.
Mine doesnt show the vrm stuff at the top and I cant figure out how to get it to show up

I go to export and it tells me I need to add author, title, version but there is nowhere to add that info..

OK, so i had everything downloaded (except for Git cause i wasnt aware till this video) and it would nt let me select any of the options under VRM0. IM installing Git rn but im curious as to what the true purpose of Git is

Unity refused to decompress my avatar model.
I wanted to build an avatar for VRChat but everything I have tried to import VRM stuff to bugs up for me whenever I try to use it. I think my computer just hates me in general
I followed this tutorial here in hopes it would work but Unity refused to work properly. And yes, my Email is verified.

I downloaded everything and the VRM thingy appeared on my unity but when I import the model, it doesn't appears
I feel like I'm just so confused, why did we need Git? I don't have an import button for VRM, and this is my second tutorial trying to figure this out. I'm going to go cry in incompetence.
I think needing Git was a bit of an outdated thing by the time this tutorial came out. I do have a newer tutorial on my channel, if you want to try that one!
@KiwiCalamity I tried the newer one, and I still couldn't figure it out. When I'm no longer frustrated about my inability to do it, I may try again. Sometimes I just get ahead of myself so I may uninstall everything and go slow, see if that helps me any. Thank you so much for doing the tutorial videos tho! I know for a fact I'd never figure it out on my own.
im having problems im getting the exclamation mark errors i have signed in (Assets\VRM\Runtime\IO\VRMMToonTextureImporter.cs(21,132): error CS0246: The type or namespace name 'SubAssetKey' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)) 511 of these please help

Hm, I’m really no expert but I can try! Did you accidentally move or rotate the model itself? Because that kind of sounds like where the issue is coming from. If that doesn’t work, then I’m not sure I can help. But I hope you figure it out!!

Oh I just right clicked and hit "translate to English." It's a feature with google chrome, so I'm not sure if that happens with other browsers.

...520 errors later, Unity won't show my my model after successfully importing and also sometimes doesn't open at all. Might've broken it. A bit.
I dont knwo what im doing wrong but im doing everything that it says here but it still wont lety me import a model so i dont know how it works .... i tried alot of different things but it wont show up like yours at all...
