The replacement arm you have there is the newer Maverick upgraded arm, hence the extra material at hinge pin end of the arm. If you want even more stronger arms, look on Ebay & search Metsafil Maverick Quantum arms, these are not cheap though @ £15 pair with £19 postage because they come from Portugal. They are cnc machined from solid Delrin engineering plastic.
