I think you have excess of material to study and due to that you are unable to revise properly
See it kind of depends, I also study from a lot of sources, coz the same book makes it monotonous. But at the same time I'm able to connect and consolidate (the revolt of 1857 will remain the same no matter how many sources you read you might get a few new points tho). For pre I solved like 200 test series and made notes instead of revising standard books (and I cleared) so it's less about the number of sources and more about how well you use them
