If it's helpful for you ,let me tell you this is not much about country or language difference ,this happened with me in my college as well in our own country. The reason is when you are different and unique in crowd ( don't bunk,don't go for eating , don't cheat and are always Punctual, Good in assignments ,good in scores,listen s to teacher ,obey and respects them) other people are jealous of us . Don't mind leave all these and spend your time wisely with genuine people like you.
I was going to say the same thing. But in my case people around me were teachers ke talve chatne wale log and I wasn't that type. In India also students are very nice in front of professors and peet peche gali dete hai. Hamre college mein tum professors ko kuch bol ni sakte bhale he wo tumko unnecessary target kar raha ho because wo tumhare marks pe kunnas nikalega aur students bhi tumko kuch bolne ni denge. One girl was telling me to apologise to a teacher because they thought I was wrong and I never apologised because I knew I wasn't wrong. She was like, hamare marks mein kunnas nikalegi. People who never went through such things think such things doesn't happen in India but it does. People not telling you something, also happened with. People comparing themselves with me or others they feel jealous of etc. And these people were my friends, at the end of the day I stopped being friends with them. In India also people cannot tolerate if you are different, if you stand up for yourself, they think you are wrong. Bhed chal mein chalna jisko bolte hain. Majority doesn't mean right and minority doesn't mean wrong. The amount of this kind of people I met made me even stop entertaining such kind of people in my life. And she said, ap logo ko choti chij lagagi. Same thing happened with me, people used to act like these are small things and I am overreacting but when you can see through intentions of these bullies clearly, you know you are not wrong about them. Only people who had never experienced this will invalidate your problems. I wrote this whole paragraph to tell this does happens in India also.
I don't want to sound rude but i think you are thinking too much about these things because this happens everywhere in the world. I'm currently living in London working here since 2019, i worked in Luxembourg for 4 years too and let me tell you, IT'S THE SAME EVERYWHERE. Workplace politics is the same all around the world,even in India. It definitely gets different and difficult in a foreign country. You'll have to be mentally very strong if planning to move out your comfort place (your country). We Indians are extremely welcoming and accepting when it comes to foreigners specially that we expect the same from others too. Anyway, good luck to you, if this is what you really want in life then fight for it, try to be strong and never change yourself for anyone❤ A little story, i was 23 when i moved to Luxembourg for work and people at my workplace at first didn't believe that im from India just because I'm tall, not dark, eat food with a spoon and doesn't "look poor"( these were the exact same words from a co worker). The moment some got to know that I'm from India i was looked down upon and their attitude changed towards me. Indians are looked down upon and stereotyped almost everywhere (thanks to all the videos on social media platforms) 23 year old me cried that day but didn't give up.

As a fellow Indian studying in Korea, I can 100% relate to you from the begining to the end of this video. The relation with the Junior and Senior and hierachy superiority culture in the workplace and with the office dinner meeting etc. But also because of these cultural barrier and hardship, we always nurture and learn alot about ourselves and move towards to become a mature and wiser person day by day. Bharti you are a brave girl. Surviving in another country is not easy at all. It comes with pros and cons. See I am also a university student and there are one or two international students in our class as well and the amount of problems they face here with teachers, fellow classmates and the whole system, sometimes I feel bad for them. But it doesn't mean that there are not some kids who genuinely want to help them. So I will suggest that you should focus on those positive vibes rather than rethinking the bad things. And try to find a genuine circle of friends even in your own class so that you can rely on them. Sending you more strength!

You try so hard to blend in, make it work while still remaining as rooted in your own culture as possible. I hope ki bhagwan aapko shakti de taaki ap strongly ORIGINAL jaise the waise reh pao. I hope you won't be forced to give into the pressure of drinking or changing your vegetarian diet because of inconsiderate people. Also, it might be difficult but do share this with your parents/family. They're your best well wishers and support. No one can do it like them. Trust me 🙏. About your diet, try to include local vegetables along with bread or rice. Just eat soaked chana/mung beans/or bhuna chana/peanuts. Also drink MILK. Proteins are very important or else you'll grow weaker. keep leak proof ice packs with your food. 🎉 All the best.
