  • I drove to a comic book garage sale called "Garage Con VI" where three sellers were selling comics out of a garage. I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised to find so many boxes of fifty cent and dollar books. I found nearly a short box of good deals, made progress on several runs and found some unexpected treasures. Today, in UNEXPECTED TREASURE AT THIS COMIC BOOK GARAGE SALE! I'll show you my full haul. CHECK IT OUT!

I have collected most of it. The beauty about this run is, one story per issue and different creatives teams every couple issues. I recommend it.

It's cool that you found an actual Whitman variant of that Star Trek; they are really hard to find

You know I don’t. I’m not very familiar with the run or stories. I have thought a little about hunting for the later part of the run when the team adds Angel and Beast though.

I'm going to have to research some 90s series to look into. I think my last books I got were low number X-Men V2 books. Got out early in the 90s. Anything you'd recommend? I was big into X-Men and X-Men adjacent books back in the 80s
Oh! I pulled a Chris move and found a silver age book in pretty rough shape for a buck. Metal Men #23. Grabbed it and got it home to find out the cover is detached. Still a silver age book for a buck though!
Anyway, congrats on that great sale. Going to need another file cabinet before you know it!

Nice get in the cheap silver age book!
What kind of 90s stuff are you looking for? Any leanings toward publisher or characters? I was mostly into the X-Men related books and some of the early image titles. There’s some cool art at that time.

@@northgardencomics X-Men were a huge part of what I read in the 80s. I think I got out around 92. I know I had the X-Men 1s that came out. But really whatever is a good story. You got me hooked on Age of Apocalypse if that helps
