I don't mind a season pass - for large amount of story content that add lots of gameplay etc.
What I don't like is announcing it before the game even launches. Doing preorders for it. Or other gross microtransactions like time-savers.
I'd love if we got an expansion to do with the reef clans. If they really wanted to go all out I'd love to see some sort of tie in crossover with the film. Like imagine some story stuff involving Jake or Neytiri
Jake and Neytiri definitely wouldn't be in it because they want to keep games separate from the movies. And any reef clans are probably getting the same treatment since we see them in movies so games wouldn't show new things. But it's a shame, I would love to take down few SeaDragons and save Tulkuns.

I am sad that there's no water tribe. I was very hyped at the possibility of an expansion that opened up the waterside of the Western Frontier and showed us perhaps a different water tribe than the one we saw in Way of Water, that had their own unique traits but allowed us to do ocean exploration and ocean combat.
Hopefully the game does well enough that perhaps a sequel will delve into Na'vi water tribes, would help make the sequel different enough from this one which focuses a lot on rainforests and open plains.
Looks cool but I´d really love to had a water tribe DLC as well.

Ubisoft didn’t develop this game, they published it. Massive developed this game. I don’t know where the confusion is coming from. The same way Bethesda didn’t develop Doom or Dishonored, but they did publish it. Gameplay looks very good. And James Cameron and the movie team were also a part of this project as well, so that’s enough positive reason to hold out hope. Will it have flaws? Of course. No video game is 100% perfect. But what we DO know so far, is the game is visually stunning and does pay respect to Pandora’s Day and Night cycle with all the flora and fauna, with a large open world including all of the major landmarks and biomes that Avatar is loved for.
I’m a massive fan of Avatar, and even own the first game on PS3 still. I Prefer-Ordered the Ultimate Edition of this one because I know i’ll be immersed no matter what. I wanted all the goodies. And I could care less if it’s in first person. I play Fallout and Elder Scrolls in first person as well. I’m just happy that we finally have a truly open world Avatar game. I’m very grateful.

DLCs have been a thing for a looooong time. I mean way back in 2002 Morrowind had a DLC expansion that cost $20 I remember. The only thing that I don't like are these "pre-order" bundles. That is legitimate scummy marketing.

Ngl it's kinda a big miss to not include the water tribe from the second movie. That being part of the expansions would've given us a underwater combat,mounts, and more things to explore but oh well
its a completely different continent to that tribe. They exist on the other side of the planet. That being said, they could have included another fishing tribe.
I miss being able to buy a finished product I can actually beat without having to pay extra for the final mission a year later.

Crazy to think over 15 years ago you could buy a completed game that would last for years of replayable enjoyment for a maximum of 50 dollars.. now you need to pick up some extra shifts at work just to play a game that is not completed without dlc purchases. Keep up the great work Ubisoft 👍 👏

no the main story of the game finishes at the end of the main game. These DLCs are just like new story plots.
I just hope that having the Stormglider as a mount, exactly working like the Ikran, will be added. I think it coild work really well with these DLCs, esp Secrets of the Spires, since it seems to have a big focus onto the air combat
I think that means one of three things: your ikran will get the boot and you will need to tame one of these big ikrans (like Jake does in the first movie), the developers will be making drastic changes and additions to the flight system because most of the story revolves flying or it just means missions will consist of flying around and complement objectives in the air. For example, ambushing a cargo transport then taking the goods using your ikran and taking them to a base within the floating mountains (like in Avatar 2).
So theyve chipped away parts of the game that you will have to pay for at a later date. The fact she can even describe all of these story packs means theyre mostly already done

well no. They are releasing the first pack in the summer which is at least 6 months after release. And the way they describe it is just as a basic idea. They literary only showed concept art. And yk since they are selling preorders of these dlcs it at least nice to know what they are about

i have a problem with my seasons pass i own it yes i mostly got it so i can have the special ikran skin but when i go to equip it on her it says that i don't own any cosmetic overrides
You may need to look back at the cd case the game came in. You should see some small papers that have codes on them. You need to enter these codes into your gaming system online store. You should also call the support service for Ubisoft and whatever you use to play the game.
These story packs sound like expansions which I like. But we'll need to see how the game is first.

That’s a red flag for me. I learned my lesson with pre-ordering from battlefield 2042. I can only hope and pray that this isn’t just a cheap cash grab and that they actually care about expanding the story with the dlc content and have refreshing ideas for cosmetic items.

Yea you get the ultimate edition through ubi+ but b warned if you get the standard edition and then get ubi+ it will upgrade automatically to the ultimate edition and whenever you cancel ubi+ it will go back to the standard edition again and you probably won't b able to access the save you played with ubi+ active.

Throughout the entire game not one navi fights by your side in any battle, only your coop partner and cutscenes of seeing navi do something but you are defending pandora completely alone all the time. oh and ofcourse you find the time to stop protecting your home planet and help two human women go on a date, because ya know it makes sense 🤮
@@liquidsnake.7008 Yes it is possible for them to do a cutscene, although it would take far longer as the Wester Frontier is further away from the Metkayina than Jake was. It is not Ubisofts lack of ambition, as Massive where the creators of the game, Ubisoft only produced it. Also there are two completely unique areas in the game, that have never been seen in the films - although still not aquatic obviously. There are a couple times when you do see Na'vi fighting when not in a cutscene, however I do agree with you, they are underwhelming, since the main battle - where all three clans fight beside you - none of them can be seen as your character is underground. The women dating thing is a side quest and not part of the main story - you don't have to do it to progress in the game.

As an Avatar fan I’m glad we are getting content for this game! However it hasn’t even come out yet. I am excited and hyped for the game and to be immersed in the world of Pandora but I hope Ubisoft keeps their promise on making the game great!

Was actually interested in this game but they just made it so easy to skip and/or wait until next year when i can subscribe to ubisoft+ for a month, or get it on a deep sale...and that's all if I haven't already moved on and am occupied with something else. It's a damn shame. And it's absurd these companies still withhold content to begin with in a singleplayer game when they could have delayed this and made a more polished and complete package to release next year. Speak with your wallets people, or they'll never learn.

What's the point of cosmetic gears in FPS game?
I was hoping one of those DLCs was going to be based on the ocean tribes
So we're getting a live service game. Going to predict there will be an mtx store with skins for a character you can't see and Pandora points for mount skins and other locked content. These "dlcs" are most likely cut content, and because it's a live service game the story is not going to be impactful so they'll always have room for future content.
Got a feeling this will be another generic 6-7/10 rpg. But at least it looks pretty. I'd advise people to not preorder it though. AAA is not AAA anymore, so check actual user reviews. I sincerely hope I am wrong though, and that the game exceeds my expectations. I loved the first movie, but this announcement before the game is even out is a red flag.

The dlcs they show for avatar are just continuing story. And my point is that they could bring something new and exciting because I guarantee that you will not be excited about the 2nd dlc much since it focuses on ikran gameplay which btw you unlock at the beginning of the main campaign. DLC that only adds story is old and not creative

Where’s video for the ultimate edition? Ultimate edition is a mystery beside a art book with season pass. What the “And More” If price range is mostly the art book it’s not worth it for 129.99 as gold edition get the season pass too or just buying the season pass alone later on.

No it is not. Its a different region to where Leonopteryx lives on Pandora. However its relative the Storm Glider is in the game. Although you can't tame it.
