120mm autonomous soft recoil mortar system for high mobility platforms The fully autonomous, vehicle-mounted 120mm soft recoil mortar system delivers effective fire support by combining the flexibility and accuracy of mortar fire with exceptional tactical mobility. The mortar is a derivative of the combat-proven soft recoil mortar which is muzzle loaded and turntable-mounted and is being used extensively by the US Army, NATO and others.

Elbit created some pretty awesome stuff in the past, but this one just looks like a way to make something way more complex and expensive than it is supposed to be.

Fica a dica.

Finnish weapon Patria AMOS (Advanced mortar system) is the way to go, if you want to take mortar fight to next level. It ain't cheap, but it's the best. Double-barrel 120 mm turret can automatically load and fire 12 rounds before first hit the ground, and they land with pinpoint accuracy, even while vehicle is moving. And if you really want to hit the target with some authority, fire control computer can switch trajectories so that 12 rounds hit the same target at the same time.

    • @stupidburp

NEMO is a single barrel variant of AMOS. Smaller volleys but much lighter.
