Hi I'v been rocking a set of JBL GTO 609c 6.5" (90w rms) in the front and a set of JBL GTO 939 6x9 (110rms) in the back. I'm not sure which amplifier to go with as most of the GTO amps have been discontinued and the only ones I can find online are the club series, not sure if they push enough watts to make the most of the speakers. Which amplifier would you recommend please?
@@crutchfield Hi sorry for the late reply. Ideally yes, I'd keep it all JBL however I do not mind using different amps. And yes as per radio I have the Pioneer MVH-S420BT
The Club series amps could be used to power those speakers and the Club A754 amp in ex excellent match for them: www.crutchfield.com/I-rYALc227/p_109CL754A/item.html
HI , I see that JBL stadium 62CF Hi res is 3 ohm speakers. I am confused which amp to use. I see amps are normally 2 or 4 ohms. Could you suggest if I can use Sony XM 4 Gs in 2 ohm. Or any other suggestions. I am worried about heating or life span issue of speakers and amp. I will be using factory head unit Regards Biplab
Any amp that can support a 2 ohm speaker on each channel can also support a 3 ohm speaker. Amps will not give the watts RMS rating, but there is an effective method for estimating the watts RMS at 3 ohms. Add the 2 ohm and 4 ohm watts RMS together. Divide that sum by 2 and this is the anticipated watts RMS the amp will give. This means the Sony is likely to give 75 watts RMS per channel at 3 ohms and will work with those speakers!!!
Question for you please! It states on your site that the maximum input voltage for BOTH line level and speaker level is 20v. Is this correct? 20v seems awfully high for line level.
For the 6x9 962cf stadium component speakers, what stadium amplifier would be paired with it? The speaker system has a crossover for a tweeter that is 3 ohms and a woofer that is also 3 ohms The website says it’s 145 watts rms And does the crossover make the two speakers have an ohm rating of 6 or 1.5?
We seen your other post asking about the amps first and replied there. In case others do not see it, here's what we sent: JBL only makes one Stadium series amp that technically can work with the 962CF 6x9 component speakers, but it does not produce even half the power those speakers can handle. The better choice is the Stage A6002 found here: www.crutchfield.com/I-rYALc227/p_109STA602M/item.html When considering all amp brands, this Rockford Fosgate amp is an excellent match to the 6x9s: www.crutchfield.com/I-rYALc227/p_575P300X2/item.html In regards to your question about ohms, the crossover makes the two drivers work together as if they were one physical speaker and still makes a 3 ohm load for the amp.

I bought 4 JBL door speakers to replace my 2017 Subaru WRX factory speakers. Was told an amp would be good to get. I have the GX628 speakers 6.5, which amp would be best to get?
Thanks for the info, can you help me decide what can of amplifier would i need in my factory radio JBL speaker s 2019 Toyota Highlander limited platinum. Appreciate your kind response
We do not have an amp designed to power the stock speakers in the 2019 Toyota Highlanders. All the amps we offer that can be installed into 2019 Highlanders are meant to power aftermarket speakers
We sure can suggest a subwoofer to use! Got a few questions to get started: What is the year, make, and model of the vehicle this is going into? Will you need a subwoofer box to hold the sub? What are your two most favorite music genres? Do you prefer a more balanced bass sound or prefer it stronger than the rest of the audio?
The difference is that the Stadium amp is built to be played louder and harder than the Club model. The Club model is designed to play cleaner but at more moderate levels.
